I totally forgot that it was this weekend. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for D3 (shot in the dark, I know, but a man can dream).
 
Yeah, it's Wrath of the Lich King for sure. An ice themed teaser for something else when they have an ice themed expansion coming out this year? Not likely.
 
I talked to some reps from blizzard and they are "Hiring a new team for a next Gen MMO."

"Warcraft related?"
"No its the next gen mmo with a new team"
"is it a new franchise or one of the three?"
*some guy walks by and that reminds captain blizzard that he needs to get coffee. He was reluctant to mention anything. But a guy from my school got hired as a concept artist for this new project, so ill see what comes from him.

typical, Blizzard employees are taught to not say anything that isn't public already
 
It's probably the WoW expansion, judging from the icy art... C'mon official release date announcement!
 
IGN covered it. They said the runes you see are from Frostmourne, the new Lich King's sword. So I guess that settles the speculation..... :'(
 
Now they are saying one of the runes in the background is from Starcraft....all I can say is I'm excited about the new Lost Vikings game.
 
Well the alphabet/number/filename theory is thrown out.

23 is W in the alphabet, and they got the Protoss insignia on the splash screen now. They are fucking with our minds. :whee:
 
So now there's the first symbol of the Frostmourne, a Diablo 2 Rune symbol, and the Protoss Insignia. It would be great if the game announced was a new The Lost Vikings though. Won't happen, but I'd love to be wrong. :p
 
Rock n Roll Racing was the best Blizzard game ever.

With this week's speculation over the Blizzard teasers, more and more reports in the media, and numerous tips coming direct us at IncGamers from reliable inside industry sources in the past 24 hours, we now have confirmation from inside sources to say that Diablo 3 WILL be announced on Saturday at WWI Paris 2008.

With that in mind, we would like to invite Diabloii.net readers to submit their questions for us to ask Blizzard.

This is extremely exciting for all of us here at Diabloii.net. For the past 10 years we have been supporting the Diablo community and to have something completely new to sink our teeth into is fantastic. We will be at the show on Saturday for the announcement and also the press conference which is directly after, so expect reports from the show floor live, interviews and much more.

Okay, I checked the new image today. At this point it could anything. I guess Blizzard isn't going to throw enough hints out at us to allow folks to figure it out.
 
If you look at todays image it appears to have glowy eyes right in the middle of the gap. Looks like Protoss eyes. I think this is obviously going to be a Starcraft III announcement.

I'm still going to guess Diablo 3, and that the figure is Diablo. The ice is melting after all.
