Difference between black and white label dreamcast games?

SEGA just decided to change the colors for some reason. I don't think there's any significance to it, unlike the greatest hits games which had a different color because they're greatest hits games.

Yeah, it happened about a year or so into the system's life. Really just an attempt to 'rebrand' the Dreamcast and, uh, make it cooler, I guess. Apparently white wasn't good enough for some people. Which, obviously, is kinda stupid.

So, yeah, no difference. Just about when it came out.

The change happened around the same time they released the black Dreamcast system...as others have said it was just a cosmetic change, no significance.
Similar to how Sony has started rebranding the new PS3 games (Uncharted 2 and Ratchet:ACIT)
Wasn't the black model just the sega sports version?
Yeah, the system was a Sega Sport version. But the black label games were just a rebranding. Even the boxes the accessories & systems came in were changed from white to black.
