Well Looks like my controller finally came in
est cost is $260+$110 shipping + $14 Western Union Fee.

Sure it's expensive, but it's one of the best IIDX controllers you can get and pretty much arcade quality. Buttons and switches used are the same ones in the arcade and the spacing is exact. It's actually cheaper than importing the Official Konami ASC if you can find one and the buttons light up. Most of the construction is pretty solid, but the base could have been done better. The plastic seems a bit thin and flimsy for my taste. The TT seems a bit higher than the arcade by just a bit to me and there's a gap w/ the plexiglass which is unlike the arcade. But all in all this is the closest you'll get other than buying a CAB for thousands of dollars.

Dig Jelly should cover that song!! a cover of a cover!!

this is very expensive. yet very very cool. with poor marketing on these, this company will probably ceast to exist in the next 2 years. they almost look like designer controllers.

I doubt it phear, they're based in China and sell internationally. Beatmania may be a niche title, but there's enough fans out there wanting these controllers, esp in Japan.

man the real edition is crazy

just like the arcade hehe

I'm just getting into Beatmania myself (I've been playing GuitarFreaks and Pop'n Music for a few months though), and I'm debating whether or not to pick up the official Konami IIDX ASC controller.

I've seen quite a few of these in stores here in Japan, usually for about 28,000 yen (or ~$250).

Here's a pic for reference:

I currently have the GuitarFreaks and Pop'n Music ASC Controllers from Konami and I'm quite happy with both of them so I'd imagine the IIDX one is quite good too. Anyone here have one?

for the price of the ASC (which is sold out in most places btw), you're better off getting the DAO. It's a better emulation of the arcade and higher quality.

Plus the keys light up like the arcade ;)

I'm sure you can, but IIDX is a game, not really a DJ tool.

looks like i'm going to just buy it off the website. $400 to get it shipped out and paid. Ouch.

The official ASC and the DAO look awesome. I just wish I was better at the game to even consider justifying spending that much. Same thing with the Pop N ASC, I am just as bad at Pop N as I am at IIDX.

Hmm western union transfer doesn't look like it's working online. Going to have to goto the agent station tomorrow I guess. Normally i'd never risk anything like this, esp $370, but according to the bemanistyle forums, nobody has had an issue, so it's all legit.
they got custom IIDX controllers at this site too:

http://www.desktoparcade.com/

check it out if you're seriously consider putting the cash down.
the DJ dao looks much better though and the actual cost of the unit from DJ dao is cheaper, I'm not sure how much desktop arcade charges for shipping though.

The Dao looks pretty damn close to the arcade whereas the desktoparcade one still looks like a home-made controller.

wow thats a nice setup you got there zoglog, sure beats the hell out of mine. i've gotten the chance to play both on a dao and desktop arcade controller, imo daos got the most arcade feel and appearance while desktop arcade has the best turntable. I ordered a desktop arcade controller couple months ago and its just about reached completion, the shipping cost is $20 plus the base price of $225.

yeah, the desktop arcade TT looked very nice, but I don't like the whole wood box look of it. Still it is cheaper than the Dao in the states so it's definetly an alternative.

Updated w/ new website.

He released a new version (Platinum Edition Evolution)
Which is slightly more expensive but looks damn close to the arcade.

woah and even closer, RES

wonder how much it's gonna cost.

PEE costs $480+ to ship to the US and even more w/ Sanwa buttons. yikes!

Yeah, kinda out of my price range, though I can't say I wouldn't like to own one of these.

Shame you can't mod the buttons in the Konami controller. Oh well.
