Overall, not bad. Seeing this, 4GB should be more than enough since I'll be buying my games in physical form. Obviously I'll try to upgrade to a 16GB card eventually :) Also, I highlighted the three largest games in red.
What the fuck good is a 4gb mem card. You can do one vita game and saves.
Actually, aside from the three I highlighted in read, you can download a number of games and saves easily...

You do realize Uncharted will be the #1 game at release on the Vita. It will have the highest attach rate by far. So at launch I could buy that and only certain full vita games. A pretty big headache right out of the gate.

If the mem cards are actually cheaper than originally reported the my point is moot.

You do realize these are the digital download file sizes, right? This is only an issue for people who have no intention of buying the physical copies of games.

Such as myself and many other people. I like having the option of buying digital and retail games. So far Sony has decided against that for me with high priced mem cards coupled with large game sizes.

Going digital is not looking like a good alternative so far, which is not the message Sony was hoping to send.

Sony hasn't stated they want the Vita to be digital only. The options are there, which is all that matters. We're still waiting on memory card prices to be finalized, but I'll be getting a bundle when the system launches.

True true, but they have been pushing digital as a alternative very strongly. With the Vita they have even mandated all games to be digital at release which is a step in the right direction.

Digital is a very strong path Sony is taking which can not be denied but they don't seem to be making all the right choices in that regard.

Even though we don't know the final MSRP on the memory cards in the U.S., they won't come close to the various $12-15 prices on 16gb micro SD cards we're seeing this week at a number of stores and websites.

I usually only play 1 or 2 different games at a time anyway, so I plan on getting a small card and just manage my digital copies on my PS3. I've done this with my PSP for awhile now and it takes little to no time to copy the games over via USB.

PSP games on my PS3 still have the copy option for me. The title of that article is misleading since they're really talking about PS1 games and Minis.
