You don't WANT Spider-Man 2 for the PC. It is NOT the same game as the console versions...it's targeted towards seven year olds instead.

All in all, I think I made out very well in this sale. There were a few games I couldn't find that I would have liked (Half-Life, either GTA port, Neverwinter Nights...), but what I did find was damn impressive.

Hell, just thinking that the games rung up at around $80 and I paid under $15 for the lot of them makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I hope with every fiber of my being that they repeat this sale. Soon. Very soon.

according to my calculations, if yoou would have bought an edge card, those games would have cost you $16...take back your recipt tomarrow and see if you can buy an edge card and get your total adjusted...my eb did it for me.

My total was $34.95 after tax (all used games and including the PS and PC games) and I only had $35 exactly, so I barely had enough money to buy what I did. :lol:

EDGE card is only 5 bucks, and takes 10 percent off original price. You would have saved more by getting EDGE card

Here's one way to look at it -- if your PC games came to $25, then the pre-discount price would be $100. The edge card would take an extra 10% off of $100, or $10. So your total would become $15, but the card would cost you $5, so you'd be back to $20. And then there's the added savings on the PS games. Not sure what they cost, but it would definitely be more money saved.

True, it's not a huge savings, but you'd get the card and enough cash to pick up 3-4 more games! Strange how one dollar suddenly becomes valuable when games are ringing up at 75 cents...

My brother had a funny story.. went to EB in minneapolis and informed the clerk about the sale.. the clerk literally ran to the game racks and started to pick up stuff that he wanted..

It's official. At least at my EB B&M. Had a few preowned pc games: Morrowind Bloodmoon Tribunal add on, Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, Conflict Desert Storm 1 and 2 - but once I got to the checkout - the sales guy (who thought the sale was still on) said "Oops, looks like the sale has ended, the system was no longer discounting -- sigh.

Welp it was good while it lasted.

The EB in Columbia MD still had signs up for it. When I went in, I picked up 13 or so games, and brought them to the counter. They had to manually put it in as 75%, but I still got it. (They did not give me the extra 10% from the Edge card though.)

I told the lady that I had read the deal was over, but she said it was a system thing. Probably in a couple of days the deal would be back up.

I visited one EB out in Clackamas on Saturday while returning Black Friday stuff in the area. The selection was picked clean so I didn't have any luck. Lousy. But I might make visits farther out to the other two locations and see. But I'm not having my hopes up because all three locations don't really have good PO PC game selections.
