I searched the forums and didn't find anything regarding this deal. Basically any PC Pre-owned game orignally price $14.99 or lower should ring up 75% off. EB Sale Associates tend not to keep the prices up to date on thier games so if there is an older game for PC that interests you that above $14.99, take a chance and bring it up. You might be pleaseantly surprized :grin:

Mmm...is it worth checking out the EB nearest me between classes tomorrow, or will it be over tomorrow? All of the signs said that Saturday was the last day, but if they're still honoring it, I could spend a few more dollars... :wink:
 
I've already picked up what i was after from my EB on Saturday, but i wouldn't mind going back if the 75% off deal happened again. I'm just happy i picked up C&C Generals, Tomb Raider AOD, Dungeon Siege, and Silent Hill 3 for just under 10 bucks :) My bro also got me Diablo 2 and Half Life GOTY for about 6 for Xmas presents

I get what the edge card would have done on the games I bought now. I've learned my lesson. :) I was thinking 10% off the $25 which would have been $2.50. I should have been thinking of the regular price without the 75% off when I put in the extra 10%. :oops:

Yea, pretty much same thing at my EB. Sign still up, so I grabbed the Sims Superstar exp., plus the 2 Disciples II stand-alone expansions (which weren't there this weekend), Homeworld 2 (which was marked $18 this weekend), and Yu-Gi-Oh. They had to manually correct the price, and I don't think I got the extra 10% either, but I wasn't gonna argue that. ;)

Got home & found out that the Sims Superstar exp. had disk 2 of Superstar & the Vacation disk. :? Took it back tonight, and they looked all over for another used copy of SS, but no luck. So they returned my copy of SS for full credit and just let me pay the $5 difference for a new copy. :) My EB rocks.
 
I'm probably going to go back tomorrow. There's a lot of stuff that they can't get rid of, so maybe they'll just ring it up as 75% off. Doubt it, but worth a shot.
 
well, the ressurection of the 75% off on preowned pc games looks to be the holy grail. I stopped back at my local EB and had a few games scanned. The promotion is dead. However, some of the games had been reduced a bit so WarCraft 3 Frozen Throne was not 19.99 - it's now $14.99. I may check back at a few other EB B&Ms but its looking pretty doubtful.

It was 15 before, everyone was talking about the actual game which was 20.

I second that! I definitely feel that i got everthing i could out of this deal. At least as far as my selection goes. Still would have liked to find prince of persia, but whatever. i got enough games to last me until.... oh... the second coming?
 
Heheh...while I didn't buy many games for myself, if this thing comes back into effect for whatever reason, I'll definitely go a little more wild with the purchases. :D

Actually, the original WC3 did not decrease in its price at my EB. The expansion disk Frozen Throne did drop from $17.99 down to $14.99 however as I said, the 75% off sale had ended two days prior to the price drop.

Has anyone tried EB to see if the 75% off has come back or is this just flogging a dead horse? (Kinda like looking for the $5 games to come back at CC).
 
Heh heh. I think it'll be a while before people completely stop looking for this to come back, considering what a great deal it is. People also still watch for the $5 games at CC to make a comeback, too...or at least I do. :D
 
Ok so this might be one of the last posts on this topic (as the deal's been dead for over a week now). Definitely would love for this deal to come back... anytime... please?

So I bought a few copies of the same game, and bought a few games that i didn't actually want. Now at around a dollar apiece, it's not a big loss to hang on to the game and play it whenever i get to it, but i decided to just take it back and use the credit to get a game i actually do want. I had an idea though... i figured since i paid so little for these games, i'd see what they would give me for a trade-in instead of a straight return. Here's my results:

*Jedi Academy was mislabeled as Jedi Knight 2 (which i already had), plus it didn't work.
