According to another website, a poster with connections to a District Manager let him know that starting October 20th through October 29th all used games will be buy 2 get 1 free. Will obviously confirm this tomorrow, but this gives us something to check out on Friday.

Actually, in my ever so humble opinion, The Thing is a pretty good game. Sure, the NPCs generally turn into an alien no matter what you do, but its still pretty entertaining.

And Run Like Hell is phenomenal. Atleast, for the $7 price tag. :lol: Lance Hendrickson (Bishop in the Aliens movies) does the voice of the main character and he's no slouch! I really enjoyed both of those games and I paid like $20 for each of them years ago.

I also found 3 of the Exhibition demo discs (#1, 3 and 4) for $1.99 each (B2G1Free...weee).

Anywho, as much as I love these B2G1Free sales, I don't need to go buy any more games for a while (or spend any more money...lol). The only title I've yet to be able to find complete (God knows why I want to find it) was X-Men Next Generation (fighting game) for XBOX.

Yeah but considering I traded 2 of his games at FYE to get me a few games, I told him I would get it for him. Plus after saving so much on this and other sale/deals this week paying $18 for a game for the kid isn't that bad.

You got lucky with ZOE: The 2nd Runner, at all the Gamestop's i went too that was $39.99 USED it was the same with Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 as well - crazy!

I couldn't resist and went and got myself 6 more PS2 games to the 32 already bought this week. One Gamestop i went too had a very small selection of used XBX/PS2 that were 50% off the sticker price.. so i picked up (all for the PS2)

PaRappa the Rapper 2 $9.99 but with 50% off - $4.49
Socom 2 $9.99 but it rang up for $3.59
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon $5.99 but got that one free

Even thou I enjoyed the movie(s) (both the original and John Carpenter versions) I've never played the game. My nephew played it and said he thought it was fun.

I knew Lance did the voice in RLH (from gameplay/trailer footage I've seen) which is cool. At least it wasn't David "has my check cleared or do I need to drone on some more" Duchovny. His work in XIII and Area 51 about put me to sleep. Then again, perhaps that was the point so you wouldn't notice some of the "finer" gameplay elements in those games...hehe. With the B2G1Free, I got RLH for just $2.88!

A little off-topic, but Lance Henriksen is my favorite actor of all time. I bought Run Like Hell for him alone. Pretty fun action game, too.

I LOVED The Thing. That is a great pickup.
 
Awesome deal. I got 6 crap games all for about $80 after discounts, and then took them over to FYE and got Saints Row, Phantasy Star Universe, and Double Agent.

I'm really unbelievably happy right now.

i went to my eb games the other day and was goign to pick up Fire Emblem: PoR, God of War and DMC3:SE but for some dumbass reason I didn't. I can get them all online, but only if there's a way to do the 2 for 1 deal.

Thanks for the info, guys. This one didn't last long. Not sure if I'll make it out to my local EB/GS today, but I can hope that maybe another B2G1 is on its way in time for the holiday season.

This afternoon I picked up

for $80.30 (including more discount). I picked up nintendogs for a friends so that I could get NHL and GUN cheaper. The EB where I went had so many games left. They had at least 4 copies of Saints Row and many more of other games.

If there is another one in three weeks I will definitely hit the same one up and pick up Saints Row and some others...depends on how much cash i have.
 
I did go to EB/GS today, but not to buy anything. Turns out the copy of RLH I got was damaged. There was a sticker around the inside hole of the disc for a video store who once owned the game. I used Goo Gone on the sticker, let it soak til it just came off without any effort. However, once the sticker was off, I noticed there were several nasty cracks radiating out from the hole (a couple all the way to the paint portion of the disc).

Not wanting to risk having the thing bust apart inside my XBOX, I took it to a local EB to see if they had a replacement copy. That store didn't, but the GS down the road (about 1 mile away) did. Turns out the game was supposed to come with the music CD that I didn't get with my copy. But, the copy they replaced it with came with the music CD (and a better condition case/insert/manual)...upgrade! :}

I pretty much forced myself not to spend any more today as I've spent enough and got enough games to keep me busy for a while (not like I was complete with the ones I picked up during/since the last B2G1Free sale either thou...lol).

The most fun I've had so far was with Rallisport Challenge. Even thou I've got RsC2, I found some of the tracks/cars fun to drive. Heck, now I got both versions.

Well, I managed to make it to my local EB. Walked in shortly before the mall closed. Was able to find some games I wanted to get, but while I did so, one of the employees let me know that their system was down and that they couldn't do any more transactions, since tech support wasn't helping them.

So I was NOT able to get the following games:
Champions of Norrath
Dragon Quest 8
POP:TTT

Which would've cost me all of about $30 by the time I got my free game and %10 off the total.

I was also looking for a couple cheap games to go with a copy of GTA:VC, since I needed to replace a lost copy. Fornt Mission 4 was looking good at the time. They also had a copy of Zone of the Enders for $5. I know next to nothing about the game, but I know a lot of people really like it (and the sequel even moreso), so I was thinking about giving it a go. That, alas, also did not happen.

There was also a GS down the mall, but it was closing time when this happened, and by the time I'd have gotten there, they'd have been shooing me out. Plus, it seems to me that EB takes a little better care of its games. The ones there just always seem to look a little nicer. I'm sure it's just me, though.

As I left, I tried asking the employees if the B2G1 sale might continue another week. They either didn't know or didn't want to tell me. I'm pretty sure it ends today, but I figured maybe there was a regional decision...

Anyway, add this to the fact, that the CC I checked didn't have any copies of Psychonauts, and this was pretty much an all-around disappoinging game shopping day.

I had picked up several 9.99 games (all that I had been wanting to get) and six cheap 3.99/2.99 titles. Guy straight-up refused to seperate tham so I'd pay for two 9.99's, get the third free, same with the 3.99's etc etc.

Too bad for him, he pulled all of the discs before going to ring anything up, so he did some work for nothing. I ended up with the three 9.99 games and told him to keep the rest.

I ended up with Toe Jam & Earl 3 (surprised they had 3 copies of it), Metal Gear Solid 3 and Adventures of Cookie and Cream for about $19 after discount and tax.

I think I'll just be going to Eb instead from now on. At least those guys don't act like they sniff their own farts. :D

Heh i went into the store and bought some games w/o even knowing this sale was going on.

A buddy and I were feeling nostalgic so we were scouring the PS1 section (sadly 90% were all sport titles) but we found three games for the buy2 get1 free Syphon Filter + Fighting Force (we used to love co-op) and also nabbed Brave Fencer Musashi since I never played it.

Then I thought it was only ps1 so we went to the gamecube section and I decided to pick up two games I heard about but missed Timesplitters 2 and Killer 7 for about $16 total and then the guy said "you know you get one free now" so I went and grabbed Batallion Wars (actually I think killer 7 due to price was cheapest, but whatever)

What is the official EB games policy on the B2G1F sales? I bought a bunch of stuff last week, including two used accessories.

They told me that used accessories aren't included in the sale. In the past I have asked EB employees if they are and they said yes they are, though I did not buy at that time.

I bought four games and two accessories. Should I pursue this or give it up(Could get $16 or $28 dollars back if this is not policy)?

It depends on the store. One EB told me once that accesories are not included, while this time they let me buy a game with an acessory. Call around next time to be sure.

I can confirm its deffintly back in store. Talked to the guys in my store today, iv been asking them for about a month now if its online or offline and driving them nuts. Today when I walked in one of them finally said its offline we dont know about online now leave me alone! I think they are getting tired of me getting info a month or two before them hehe.

Anyways....I hope this is online too, the in store games really suck. I was able to find VP2 but no Disgaea 2, Okami, Devil Summoner or anything else I wanted.
