Saw this when I stopped in for the first time in a month or so. When did this become the standard deal on used DVDs? This is a HORRIBLE deal on the cheaper DVDs when compared with their old pricing.

Example:

Current pricing = 3 $5.99 DVDs for $12
Old pricing = 3 $5.99 DVDs for $10

Plus, the old deal combined with the buy 2 get 1 free deal and the discount card, so during sales you could get 3 $5.99 DVDs for $5.99, which was a hell of a deal. I bought up around 50 movies the last time they had that deal, driving around to 5 or 6 EB/GS stores that have a ton of movies.

The company is trying to phase out DVD's all together. The GameStop I work at is one of the smaller ones in the company so we have the buy 2 get 2 free sale. We don't do DVD trades at all, for cash or credit. 5 minutes down the road are a couple more that are a bit bigger and they're doing buy 2 get 1 and you have the ability to trade DVD's in for credit for now. They apparently feel that with the Wii and PS3 out that DVD's take up too much room in the stores.
