The thing is I'm usually out of the house before the trash guys show up. So I'm not even sure how many of them there are. And where would you leave the gift? It seems wrong to leave on the pile of trash they're about to haul away and then again they're not going to go up to my front steps to check if I left them a gift or not.

Hey Shrike, can you clean up that Burger King 3 for 10 thread, all of page 4 isn't about the deal at all which sucks when I'm trying to actually read about the deal.

There's this new wave of CAGs that do nothing but constantly bitch and moan and say the EXACT same thing in every thread they are in. It's amazing. The only example I have off hand is one in the Wii thread about a girl reporter talking about her difficulty in getting a Wii. Somehow it evolved into a discussion about the longevity of the Wii and how, basically, "it's totally going to die after Christmas."

I'd hate to see that kind of shit in the 360 forum, or any forum, for that matter. It would be like repeatedly saying "Halo is all Microsoft has" over and over and over.

Basacially, he was saying that since Burger King made 5 million copies of the 360 games, and they basacially haven't sold anywhere NEAR that, it's a horrible sign that the 360 is going to fail and fail hard.

Nevermind the fact BK was stupid enough to produce so many games and a shitload of people (like myself) really didn't care, no, it's all on MS, they will totally crash because nobody is buying BK games!!

Why did the thread get deleted completely though? The 3 for $10 is a legtimate deal.

agreed. usually an envelope in a color different than the garbage bag/can so that it's visible in dim lighting. sometimes a bit of tape to keep it attached.

and for the mail man, just stick it in the mailbox in a way which will catch his attention as not being "normal" outgoing mail.

Seriously tho I'm not surprised at the BK games not selling. My observations from most people the few times I've been in BK the past month since the promotion began has been:

A) "You got this for Sonyplaything right?" (yes, I kid not)
B) "It has to be crap for that price."
C) "There is a string attached to this right?"

Changing the subject I'm kinda amazed that I haven't seen any threads yet on CAG about the overabundance of places pushing gift cards this year. I've really noticed that even places like Wendy's are in full push mode on them this year like never before. Thoughts on this CAG?

I just got DOA:Ultimate. Already have DOA4, but felt compelled to get it for 7.48 since it is BC.

I think that is going to be my last game purchase (barring Target clearance) until Guitar Hero comes out for the 360 (provided it comes out for 80 and not 90).

I vomitted while working and got to come home early. Feel fine now too.
We stopped to eat at this place called "Citrus" and I had a half a club sammich and some mac and cheese. As soon as we walk out the door, I start feeling light headed. The dude goes to drop me off like we normally do and I say "I think I'm going to go spew." and walk away for about 5 minutes. After vomitting my 8 dollars back up, I walked back to the truck where my coworker was on the phone with our boss telling him I was puking and he was taking me home. So yeah, now I'm home, totally just going to chill out for a while.

I was horrible at speech. I didn't break down, but my hands were shaking really badly. I ended up gripping the cheap little aluminium podium, which in turn started quaking and making even more noise. :lol:
 
I stopped going to my speech class after the first assignment. This was ... 4 years ago? I don't intend on ever retaking it, but I'll have to if I ever want to graduate. I'm undecided on that, right now.
 
My Creative Zen Nano Plus 1GB MP3 player arrived today! Sweet! It'll end up being $30 assuming Creative doesn't dick me on the rebate. Another one (non-plus and 512MB) should show up in a day or two that will be $10 AR. I don't have a major need for either of them, but it seemed like a nice thing to have. :mrgreen:

Transferring music is pretty easy. It opens up like a thumb drive and you just copy the tracks over. (I didn't bother with the install/driver CD included, just plug and play w/ XP.)
 
I had to write the introduction and conclusion of my final, which was a group project. Basically, I was the bread, and my four other members were the meat.

We did "Alternative Fuels and Energy".

Anyway, to make a long story short, I wrote it 3 hours before I had to go to class ( :lol: ), and I got a 20/20. Both portions, together, took me 10 minutes to read.

The teacher noted: "EXCELLENT and STRONG introduction and conclusion. Very well done!"

I have seen some people do stuff like that but have never been in that situation before. I think people just over think it. Not a person in the class cares what you say or if you sound good doing so; probably not even the teacher.

I got one as well and hopefully it gets here today (if it comes Fed Ex it won't come until tomorrow).

Pretty intuitive controls, too. I think I've figured out how most everything works without looking at the manual. I'll probably skim over it later just to make sure I'm not missing anything cool.

You'll want to organize your MP3s into folders when you copy them over if you want to be able to play them in a group. (e.g. folders named Jay Z - Blueprint LP; Grateful Dead - American Beauty; etc etc) As it lets you skip from folder to folder but won't group your MP3s based on the artist or album set in the ID3 tags.

It will also obviously shuffle everything loaded on it or just within a given folder.

Nice package too. Comes with some a semi see through case that can clip on a belt or the included arm strap, decent pair of headphones, the USB cable to transfer files, and a AAA battery.

The guy was giving a speech on like... Ireland, or something. And it was going fine, until he was like "Ireland is known...known....known....known...." and it looked like he was having a seizure.

He tried the sentence over again and tears just started streaming down his face, and he started talking loudly, like "IRELAND IS...........IRELAND..........".

Seriously, I was half asleep and then I was like "wtf is going on here????" I've never seen anything like it in my life. Dude has the deathgrip of steel on the podium, his hands were WHITE from grabbing it so hard.

It didn't help his powerpoint presentation looked like it was made by a retarded monkey.
 
i want to get spongebob season 1 for my brother from ddd but I dont want to pay $10 to get 2nd day shipping that I would need to get it before xmas. I know he wont care if it came late but I would feel kinda bad. But then again those beanies probably wont come until after xmas and some of those are a gift for my older brother and my dad so that kinda makes it easier for me to go with the free shipping. :whistle2:k

edit: are walmarts B&M prices the same as online? Because they have it online for $27.77

Speeches are interesting because the mentality behind them varies so greatly from the actual presentation. I know I beat myself up because speeches should be easy (the only fear is messing up, but that's not even that embarassing considering everyone does mess up some time) but strangely enough, they're tough to do well.

Walmart B&M prices are almost never the same as the website prices. Website is usually cheaper than the B&M store having the same item.
