+ Demitri lived
- if D. Gibbons wants Mark to find and rescue Demitri (which it sounds like he does, saying "You have everything you need" and giving him the photo and the book title) why is he playing games? Give them the

ing address and tell him "Cut the red wire, then the blue wire". If you don't want them to do it immediately, do a time-release video.
- Even if he wanted to hide the
address from someone, what's the point in hiding the wire color and order? Why take the chance that someone involved would

that up or not know what he's talking about?
I guess I really don't see the point of the whole setup. If D. Gibbons wants Mark to take him into custody safely, why give out clues at all? If Mark & company had been brighter bulbs, they could have worked out where Demitri was and which wires to cut before Mark left the train station.
The whole point seems to be to make it seem
mysterious, with strange clues and images and Dr. Seuss, when it's all just kinda pedestrian underneath.
(Perhaps D. Gibbons was able to foresee that they needed the clues, but wouldn't work them out until later. Which brings me to....)
+ Mark was able to surprise D. Gibbons
- Alda/Whatever her name is was able to surprise D. Gibbons
I can see being surprised by the small stuff, but D. Gibbons is supposed to see all the branching pathways and possibilities. You would think something as big as the terrorist escaping jail and shooting him would be one of those things. D. Gibbons did say
Demitri killed him in 78% of the futures. Such a precise figure implies he looked at some of the alternates. Why didn't he see what was coming? If it's that rare and unpredictable, aren't they in a lot of trouble now?
If he foresaw it, he should have made some sort of comment, even as brief as "Oh, her!". If not, he should have also made some sort of comment like "This was unexpected". Even though either way he looks like a tool, it's better than saying what he did say: nothing. You can't be Mr. Badass Manipulator and then totally miss something so big.
Speaking about Ms. Terrorist, how did she find Mark and D. Gibbons? If she and her organization are
that much better than the FBI
and D. Gibbons, then everyone is

ed.
This, to me, seems to be a fundamental problem. They built up D. Gibbons, even within this episode, to be able to see and predict paths with amazing skill and accuracy. Getting and using Demitri's gun, both on the homeless savant and on Demitri. The videotape. Planning Mark's escape route and completely evading the FBI. These are things that should be impossibly hard, yet we can accept that he's badass enough to accomplish them.
So how could he have failed so hard?
