1. I can't get into the member's area/can't find out where to pay. Help!

After the initial registration email, you should receive a second email linking you to a payment page. You can request that this email be resent if need be. Make sure to check your junk/spam folders as well.

2. Will this work on consoles?

No. Games and most accessories only. Physical point cards are also eligible, but not digital point codes.

3. Do these work on Quick Picks/Deals of the Day/Trade-in Coupons?

Yes, Yes, and Yes!

4. How do I get my Quick Picks to show games?

This should be a basis to get it to work for whatever you are interested in. It is not a science though so be persistent.

5. Does this work on Pre-orders?

Yes, it does. The price will also automatically take off 10% of whatever the final selling point is due to the Pre-Price Guarantee that Amazon offers.

6. I have heard that these offers have expired/been removed, is this true?

There have been a few instances where codes expired or they ran out but The ECA and Amazon have usually rectified the situation within a week or so. Also, the Terms of Service state that any membership benefits can change or be canceled without any notice so keep that in mind when signing up.


7. Double and Triple stacking

This is no longer possible. Don't bother trying. Originally when the ECA would run out of codes and switch to a new batch members were able to stack codes. A glitch in Amazon's system would keep older codes in your account, and it was possible to add codes from the newer batches to obtain more than 10% off. Amazon found out about this, hence the reason the codes are currently down/ being worked on.

8. Begging/Asking for codes

This is not allowed. If you beg/ask for a code you will be permabanned. No questions asked.

9. Selling codes

Definitely a big no no. If you do this, you will get reported to the ECA and your account will be shut down.

10. If I make a pre-order with a code a cancel it, will the code still work?
Yes. Codes should remain in your account but again they will no longer stack. It is one code per game. Amazon and the ECA are working on codes tied into our accounts but this option is not yet available.

11. If I already have a pre-order made, can I add a 10% off code to it?

You can not add a anything to an order once it is made except a gift card. You can try emailing Amazon customer support and ask them to add it. Generally they have no issue doing this for you but it's a crap shoot.

12. What if I already have a pre-order with the old codes applied? Should I be worried?

We don't know definitively, but chances are good that Amazon will not touch the pre orders we have already made.[/QUOTE]

never seen you post before, I used to have a badass sig of oldboy with the dude blowing his head off in the elevator. Love that movie, showed it to my gf once and realized it was a bad decision. Not everyone understands weirdness.

Actually, they listed Fri/Mon in their first post (the edit/update) and then said to look for the codes tomorrow since today was a holiday, which makes sense.

My GF actually got the movie and showed it off to me. You totally knew what was going to happen at the end with the two characters...but it was still one of those "oh snap!" moments when it was revealed.
 
Damn, Demon's Souls is $3 off on amazon right now. Deluxe and reg edition. Hopefully the prices stays until ECA fixes its shit.

I guess whoever said that UPS doesn't take holidays is right, hope it comes tomorrow.

today was a postal day off. amazon offices were open... they are just trying to BS the people and making up reason why no codes r there anymore..... More like this is a way of amazon telling them to FU Off and they will come up with some reason that its AMAZONS fault the codes dont come back and not ECA

like they did not know today was a so called hoilday last week.. yea it came out of nowhere and they had no clue today was a so called day off till today.

i used two different addresses ..... i used a school edu to join for 15 but i dont use that for my amazon account (meaning i wouldhave to open up another amazon account to have both emails link)

or would it link differently

It doesn't matter if its a holiday Ups and Fed ex both deliver still and the Usps still moves mail it just doesn't deliver on the holiday.

I can't remember the last time I had fedex with amazon, and I've had packages from them nonstop for the past like 3 months. My UC2 and BL come in wednesday, because amazon rocks and shipped the games out to us basically as release day delivery but with 2day instead of overnight. Fine by me, not like I'm paying for the shipping.
 
My U2 and BL shipped today- but the shipping charges were crazy! My order now shows over 70 dollars in shipping charges. Anyone else with the triple stack have any strange problems with this?

Yea- I originally had FSSS, but I wanted the release date delivery- so I emailed them, and the guy gave me a "free upgrade" to One Day. That adjustment added 35 dollars to my order cost- so I emailed again, and the guy wiped it back out. That was on the 1st.

Today- the first package had an 11.90 charge- and the rest of my undelivered order had another 60 dollars of shipping fees. I'll just have to get them to fix it.

There aren't any available right now. Keep checking back because they are supposed to reappear within the week. Check the " Amazon Discount Issue Thread (PLEASE POST HERE ONLY!)(Read OP first!" on the ECA forum, they'll continue to update on the situation. I'd post the link but unfortunately since I'm a newb I'm not allowed to :/

ECA is getting new unique codes soon. I talked to them and they said its gonna take 2 more days.

Ugh. I have no reason to post other than to vent my frustration at what, a week of not being able to order from Amazon? I'm going to get some Wii/Gamecube controllers, a memory card, Wolfenstein, and A Boy and his Blob if they ever work again.

I hope this time they block any scammers so they don't take our codes away 5 minutes after we get them.

And yeah, somehow making them multi-use so I don't have to sit around planning out how I'm going to get x number of codes for x number of orders, or whatever.

Guess my code on New Super Mario Bros. is still okay...

i say amazon is pissed they allowed people to abuse their codes and ECA is begging them not to pull the offer but amazon probally told them to go #$#$# off

and for those who did stack coupons Amazon should just ban your accounts if you had prime you paid for too bad you knew you were abusing the system.... its just like shoplifting items.

i think ECA said on their webpage only one code can be used at a time...I could swear i saw it on their page at one time

1) Amazon allowed the codes to be abused, not ECA

2) As has been related over and over in this thread, not every instance of code stacking was an attempt to abuse the discount. Most likely the only people who didn't stack codes didn't place any orders at all (or have never cancelled an order).
 
You are now talking about ethical and moral decisions on a site in which a good chunk of deals come from exploiting poor programming. Your examples are useless in an online setting.

If Best Buy allowed me to stack 3 10% coupons to an order because their system allowed it, then why wouldn't I?

Slidecage, you were not allowed to remove codes applied from your order, so if you had accidentally stacked two codes for 20%, you couldn't do anything about it. Are you supposed to e-mail customer support and ask them to remove a discount for you? I think this is asking waaay too much of a consumer (especially consumers who are going to be male 18-35 most of the time).

Yup. Amazon could find and cancel these orders at any time. And if that's what they choose to do, then so be it-- they'd be within their rights. Since they haven't, I'd say that's a pretty good indicator that they're not too concerned.
 
I love that people are making Amazon out to be some wrathful god who is going to be slinging his vengeance down upon everyone that happened to get an extra 10% discount. Those who got an extra 20% will be spending the rest of eternity sliding down a razor into a vat of vinegar (lol, I may have even read that in this thread).

Maybe I am not worried because I got a free membership into the ECA, but a lot of the haters are going a little over the top.
 
Pardon my ignorance here, but I just signed up for the ECA, and I cannot for the life of me find these once-a-day codes that everyone else seems to have. Is it something that will be emailed to me or is it in the forums somewhere? I cannot seem to figure out how to associate my amazon account with my new ECA account. Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Yeah, Amazon sent my order (part of one big order) of Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2 for $78 total combined shipped. Already got delivery confirmation. No cancellations at all. They are getting my business with this, otherwise, I shop around, so its wiser to keep all orders and just fix the problem now.
 
Cool, Magna Carta 2 shipped a day early. Already got my uncharted/brutal legend credit. Says both must be used by dec 31, if the rest say that, then I definitely have more than enough time to use them.
