Prices are dictated by MS, if an item was free previously when you DL'd it, it wont be for other people. The DL links just go straight to the item, not "when" you bought/got it.
 
Intriguing stuff. You think the GS preorder bonuses were mispriced to free because of a GS error, or just a MS oversight?

Either way, I see this getting fixed pretty quickly.

yeah i know that too. thats why i downloaded everything so fast. Finally I didn't miss out on a website "glitch" like the billion others that i missed.

The Gears 2 lancer code is working here in the UK.

I sugest if you have more than one account you give it a try on all of your acounts.
 
I think the region lock stuff is just really the timed stuff and since the free date window has passed it comes up with that error. That is why I wanted to try the Ninja Gaiden II Weekend Contest gamerpic since I remember it being listed in the Dash on the last day of the contest but I was not able to download it.

The biggest fans get the biggest guns first! The FG42 Machine Gun is a dominating weapon that is normally accessible at level 45 in Multiplayer, but you can use it from Day One. To use the FG42, simply join any Multiplayer game and chose the “Heavy Gunner” class. Your “Heavy Gunner” will have the FG42 already equipped, rather than the default loadout. This class is exclusive to the Collector’s Edition.
 
I think this is truly only going to work for pre-order only bonuses. I'd love if that weren't the case however. I went through a lot of my download history and that seems to be. Hey if anyone plays Battlefield bad company....those gun class unlocks would prove to be useful. I don't play the game anymore, but search those out, and it would serve a purpose perhaps....like that sniper rifle game stop code. Hhahahaha

They Already know about the glitch. Many posts have appeared in the Xbox Live Gears Of War forum, and probably other forums too. It will probably be patched soon.

This one code will also make your clan tag red, showing the world you own the Collector's Edition. ;)

I got the Gold Lancer fine, but when trying to add the CoD Day 1 Edge, i'm getting "An error has occurred during the transaction. Please try again later." Any ideas?

I got the Gold Lancer and Gamestop Theme, everything else failed. I got a Gold Lancer and I sold the one that came with my LE for $31:D

...for just about every one of these "free" downloads. I think I was able to successfully add the GameStop GOW2 theme and the COD5 Tactical so-and-so to my download queue, but nothing else.

For the record, my XBL account is: USA, Adult, Gold.

The website is probably just overloaded at the moment. There are people all over the place trying to get themselves a free Lancer :lol:. Just try it again later if you cant get it working now.
