Game Crazy---- Classic Plastic going to 2 for $5.00 soon!

ctice44

CAGiversary!
This deal isn't happening right now.....but keep your eyes peeled. We just got the signs in today! ALL CLASSIC PLASTIC is going to 2 for $5.00. For those of you that don't know what is included in "classic plastic" it is: NES, SNES, N64, GEN, Dreamcast, GB, GBC, and PS1. Also, it makes no different what the sticker price is...it qualifies for the sale.
Right now the classic plastic is 3 for $10....and, like I said earlier, I have no idea when it is suppose to change over...but it is soon since we just got the signs.
Trust me, as soon as I hear something I will keep you all updated.

Edit: I just got back and the 2 for $5 is going on NOW!!

The hotmails aren't printing right now so our DM had to deliver our bar codes to scan. The code is "CGCC2FOR5".....enjoy!!!
For the first time ever I got a good deal at the crazy classsic plastic, usually when I go all thats left are old sports titles. Went to gamecrazy earlier today to buy some blitz the league & ant bully's to flip at blockbuster & ended up w/ these beauties:

All came complete w/ box and instructions for $10 total. I found it funny that the carmen sandiego was marked at 9.99 while the lufia I & II only 4.99 each.
Best of luck having those Lufia games work. I got both games but the backup battery are both dead (meaning the games are junk to almost everyone)

I disagree. Batteries can be replaced, and even if he chooses not to do so, they still hold value to collectors.

Wow, talk about slim pickings... nothing to speak of. They look pretty much cleaned out and all three I stopped at said they are not taking in any more classic plastic for trade.

You should email them to help change their minds. I think I'm going to add what Scorch has to my sig also.
Oh my god, you found Lufia? WITH THE BOX AND EVERYTHING?

Good lord...
I bet you've had a lot of luck with people trading in stuff all the time and people who don't know the values or just don't wanna deal w/ ebay and what not.

anyways, went into my gamecrazy today and they had no idea of a 2 for 5 thing.. so that made me sad and I bought 3 mediocre dreamcast games anyways w/ some credit.

My Game Crazy only ever has a ton of sports games for classic plastic. I'd KILL for a copy of Lufia II. I've been wanting one for a long time. Although I didn't find any classics, I did pick up Guitar Hero II w/ X-Plorer controller for $67.
Oh my god, you found Lufia? WITH THE BOX AND EVERYTHING?

My thoughts, exactly! I've never even seen ANY SNES games with box or instructions. So it looks kinda funny to see the GC sticker on the box.

Nice find!:applause: You better appreciate this one.;)

Well I went back to one of the few gamecrazies I usually frequent and the guys I like were there. I asked them about it and they knew nothing about the sale and said there were no emails or posting about any kind of new classic plastic sale coming up.

So my guess is that this is somewhat ymmv or a regional deal even? Since the 3 gamecrazies I go to all the time have no idea about any kind of 2 for 5 sale.

Yeah, no dice here either. I asked about it and they said they heard it might happen soon.

I got Tomb Raider Last Revelation and Sukiodeon II (sp?) for $5. Never heard of the second one but I got it since it had a high price tag ($19.99) so I figured it would be worth something on Ebay. I'm glad I found Tomb Raider though. Haven't played that in ages!

It can get over $100 opened and 200+ factory sealed on Ebay. Good luck!

Holy shit, you found a copy of Sukioden 2?!? Wow, that is some major props right there :applause:.

stopped by a gamecrazy on the way home from the beach and picked up a complete copy of power stone (mint) and a copy of space channel 5, both for dreamcast... both for 5 bucks.

the girl working there looks at me and points to both games and says 'you've got a sega dreamcast right, cause they're not playstation games'.... I just said.. 'umm..damn I have bad reading skills....no... I dont.. but I'll take them anyways'... IM NOT RETARDED LADY.

I don't know. Does he still get props if he bought it without even knowing about it? :D

Suikoden 2 is like finding gold. Sell it on ebay for major profit.

Went to another one today and it looks like it was already cleared out of the good games. Employee mention someone came in yesterday and grabbed Grandia 2(DC), Mario All-Stars + SMW(SNES), Final Fantasy(NES) & Street Fighter Alpha 3(DC).

So found Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense(DC) & F355 Challenge(DC), since I figure I'd like them for $2.50 each and left. There's two more GC stores in the area I'm going to check out, but I got a feeling they've been cleared out already

It costs about 25 cents (if you buy your batteries online in bulk, a few bucks per battery at Radio Shack) and takes 5 minutes to replace those batteries. Instructions can be found on hundreds of websites. Heck, even a quick search here on CAG could teach you how to do it:

I picked up a complete copy of The Jungle Book for SNES today just because it was such a novelty to see an SNES game in great shape with the box and manual included. I picked up a replacement copy of Pokemon Stadium for N64 to make it $5.

They had a few boxed Genesis games (nothing good) and some loose NES games as well, and, oddly enough, there was also a copy of Mario's Tennis for Virtual Boy floating around in the bin, but I have a copy so I passed on it.
I work at a RadioShack so I can attest to that. It's even better when you get a 30% discount on those batteries
Dude, come on - I work there too, but nothing can make up for the soul-crushing agony of... RadioShack.
I ended up with Pokemon Gold and Silver, both with dead batteries, unable to save. Here are some instructions I found for replacing the battery...
Someone came in when I went there today complaining he got copies of Gold & Yellow with dead batteries. Seems like the Gold & Silver versions are the ones with a high failure rate for the batteries.

Went this morning to last GC in my area that I haven't went to yet. They already cleared out their cases and moved all the classic plastic stuff to the bins. Managed to find Beast Wars:Transformers(Ps1), Super Runabout: SF Edition(DC), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command(DC) & Carrier(DC) in the clutter of the PS1 & DC bin.

Did they let the guy exchange the games? My receipt says all used sales are final. I don't mind doing the fix on one, but if it doesn't work I figure I'll swap the other for a PS1 or DC game.

I've still yet to go to a local GameCrazy (nearest is ~7 miles away) but these are some damn good finds I'm hearing about (besides some poeple coming out empty-handed)

Not exactly, but they didn't have any other copies, so he got store credit for them. The "all used sales are final" note on the receipt is if you're trying to return the game as working. If they're defective, they will take them back.

Speaking of that store, the copies of Super Runabout & Buzz Lightyear I bought lock up. So I'm hoping that the one near me will be willing to resurface them since I already know they don't have anymore copies. I'd rather take them resurfaced & work than get $5 store credit for both of them.

*Edit- Oh, there was something I wanted to ask. Since when is Game Crazy selling new Generation Nex consoles? The last one I went to had a brand new one in the display with all the other consoles.

Mario Party 3

Good luck, the only game on that list I have ever seen is Perfect Dark.

Yeah, GC's N64 selection is getting pretty close to what Gamestop has left, old sports games & crappy games no one wants.

I don't expect them all at once...

God dammit. WHY can't GameCrazy be more widespread? It's utterly painful hearing about these deals when knowing the only store I have is a god damned GameStop every around every corner.

Every Gamecrazy in our district is completely dry of any real finds, anymore. Honestly working there was really the best way to get your hands on any treasures for cheap. Now it's just Gamestop with an occassional sweet clearance.

I grabbed some awesome stuff last week (I'll post it when I get home), but today I picked up two disc-only copies of Final Fantasy VII (one with a scratched-and-Disc Doctored disc 1, one missing disc 1, but both copies have discs 2 and 3 in great condition). Only $5 =D

There is only one GC around that I know.... Strangely, I also live on LI as the above poster and the GC I went to didn't have FF7. Did you go to the one in Selden, Gatsby?

>_> Anyway, I got Driver 2, WWF Smackdown 2, Ace Combat 3, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hand(!!!!) I'm not sure if Boktai was supposed to be on sale, being a GBA game, but all i know is I saved a lot. The cashier forgot to put the sale code in or whatever and the price came to $55~ before the $14 after.

Nope, they're always awesome at the Selden store. I

Does anyone know if Game Craze is the same as Game Crazy?

When I look up Game Crazy on the net for addresses, they're the same addresses as our local Game Craze stores. Name change or something?

Nah, the Selden one. That's the only one I knew about before Gatsby mentioned ones in Massapequa and Ronkonoma. I'm going to the Broadway mall next week to return stuff at Ikea so I may try to make a detour and check out the Massa store though.

Found these in Ronkonkoma today:

Akuji the Heartless
Armored Core
Armored Core: Master of Arena
Epidemic
Kensei Sacred Fist
Monster Seed
Total Eclipse Turbo

Anything worth playing right away? Mainly these were games I was missing.
