...this is the major problem. Coupled with subpar physics, most sims aren't even worth the time, unless you happen to have some specific connection with a particular piece of equipment. I bought Snowcat Simulator 2011 because I operated one for many years. It only took a few minutes to realize that the game was as boring as driving a real Snowcat.

There are quite a few German economic/trading sims which are equally unsatisfying. I guess it's no different than other genres. We get a few good sims, Euro Truck, the earlier Patricians, and a whole slug of knockoff wannabees.

I am glad there is a place to purchase them. Or at least look at a few screenshots and convince myself that I really don't need it.

Mildly related: What we I need, is a solid revival of the Tycoon games. Mix some sim/management stuff with a little arcade fun, come on devs, you're rebooting everything else.

I want a German person to explain the legitimate, non-ironic, not just in it for the shits & grins appeal of those uber dry and quite frankly amateurishly put together Euro-simulators.

I feel like there's some secret handshake that I'm not getting because I'm not German.

Honestly that's the thing I don't get... I could understand if they actually tried to be a real sim.

They're probably equally befuddled by all of our RPG Maker games.

This made me laugh since it would seem your experience should have been the hallmark of a well crafted and expertly executed Snowcat simulator. I mean, were you expecting the arcade version to feature lasers, dinosaurs and Nazis?

Bought it from Retail on pre-order. One of those rare games I had to have ASAP and paid around full-price for.

Activated that key also on GOG, as soon as that was allowed.

Crap. I'm changing my "No new games until Black Friday except for the amazon EC sale" resolution to "After January, no new games until Black Friday." (Not counting Humble Bundles).

This game looks awesome.
