CAGiversary!
ALL INFO AND DEALS FOR GAMERUSH

UPDATE: According to aoLat 's store, the Trade any 3 games, get a used game for $10 deal ends January 3rd! Only a few days left, so I suggest getting the last you can out of this deal.

Now, according to IndyDad 's store, this deal is supposed to end on the 10th. So, it may be YMMV for the last day of this deal.

I would like to thank Wshakspear for telling CAG and me about GameRush. You've really helped me out on deals. Thanks!

Many questions should be answered here. :) I'll add new things soon, so if you ask good questions and people give good answers, I'll add it to this and it will hopefully help out others.

Please PM me with questions about GameRush, but check this post, and the last few pages of this thread before you do.

GAMERUSH WEBSITE

OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you. :)

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (as many are doing) since they do have the abillity to bann you from all GameRush locations if they want to. If you do get banned from GameRush for scamming them, don't bitch about it. Otherwise, I will be forced to make fun of you.
Would someone like to volunteer to keep an accurate list, updated every few days, of what games cost at other stores, but trade in at GR. Kinda like this thread, but summarize into 1 list?

Not it.
You're just such a giving person.

Apparantly, nobody paid any attention to this post.

I just got back from two trips to my local Game Rush in St. Pete, FL., and my CSR said the Trade 3 Get One for $10 is on until the 17th there. Better yet, they just received a HUGE stock of new games!

YMMV, but this deal may still have a spark of life in it. :)

Sad to say, the buy 2 PO get 1 free didn't work after 11:00 tonight (still 1/10) at one of my GR. I was returning Dark Cloud 2. How strange, one of the few games I intend on keeping does not work.
After I returned the game, I wanted to get the buy 2 get 1 free, but the employee there sais it no longer works. I told them the deal ends on 1/10, it is still technically 1/10 right now. They said they no longer have the coupon. Didn't feel like arguing as the two employees were friendly.

Will try again tomorrow at other GR to see if the deal can prolong for another week.

GameRushs get there games in on release days. So if RE4 and Zelda come out Wednesday, that when they will get them. Most of the employee's no little to nothing. This is also coming straight from a Game Rush managers mouth (me).

I prepaid for MGS3 and went in the weekend after it was released and the stupid employees hadn't even put it on the floor yet. It took the guy 10-15min just to get my copy since they were all still in the back.

So the Game Rushes might get the games the day they come out but you'd never know it unless you were an employee and willing to go check.

Well, I'm going to see if they have Mercenaries today at my GameRush. I have a 20% off coupon. I may save my 3 trade-in games for another new game, since I have enough credit to cover the cost of the game.
are those ebgames and gamestop web site prices good for in store as well?
I believe those are all in store (B&M).

Anybody know if GR got in RE4 or Zelda - Minnish yet?

I check for Mercenaries to BUY and they only had it to rent....although they said the get shipments around 3:00 today in MI. So, hopefully AFTER work I can get one along with a 2nd XBOX.

I was at the farmington hills gamerush today and asked for zelda and i got shot down...i didnt even ask for RE4 though as it is too scary.

So it was said before that the trade 3 deal now isn't so much a "get 20 bucks off" deal as it is a "any game 50 dollars or over is changed to 30 dollars." Has there been any confirmation of this? Because if so, would that mean I could get like the DDR combo for 30 bucks? Or is that considered an accessory because of the pad? And then does the same apply to the Karaoke Revolution, etc?
are they still giving 35 for halo 2? anyone know what they will give for nba live 2005?
Far as I know, Halo 2 should still fetch you 35. Don't know about NBA Live '05.

anyone know when/ if the extra $5 when you trade 3 or more starts. There is stuff i want to trade but im trying to hold off.
I traded in Halo 2 on Friday (1/7) and it got 35. So it should still fetch ya that much
I used my GR Halo 2 in a trade 3 get extra 10$ at EB. So the net was the same 35$, but I only got 1.25 for the other two games combined.

Still i need to spread my credit back to EB, so I can buy more cheap used games to sell back to GR :)

I was at my gamerush today (trying to trade three and get Halo2 PO for $10, but they said that promotion is over), they said the new promotion is trade 3 get any New game priced $29 or more for $29. I didn't ask about any special game packages.

Anyone out there with a halo2 for cheap?

It seems that the trade 3 get 1 for 10 is gone for good in most places. However, certain store may still have the buy 2 get 1 free for another week. So I guess you can try to use it to your advantage. Something worth noting is that Killzone is priced at 39.99 and the trade in value is 30. MGS 2 is priced at 6.99 and trade in at 5.

with buy 2 get 1 free
Get 3 killzone for about ~87 (including tax)
Get 3 MGS2 for about ~16 (including tax)

Trade 2 killzone & 1 MGS2 for a new game
Trade 2 MGS2 & 1 killzone for another new game

Not much of a deal, but at least you can practically get your new game with GR credit for $30 without losing your credit.

But if you are smart like stone99 and have credit divert in GR and other places, you have a lot more opportunity to take advantage of these deal.
Damn I called 3 GameRushes and they all said RE4 comes out on the 14th.... :(
Damn. I hope they have it at one of the GR's I go to tomorrow so I can pick it up while out.

This may be a long shot, but would anyone know if Gamerush will be offering the bonus DVD for either Xenosaga II or Oddworld: Strangers Wrath like Gamestop and EBgames? Id love to preorder these for $30!

Thats exactly what I was thinking. He walked in and spent $103 and walked out with 2 new games. All he got was a hassle. Help us understand!

EDIT: Oh I see, you got 2 new games and $60 credit for spending $103. Gotcha.
This may be a long shot, but would anyone know if Gamerush will be offering the bonus DVD for either Xenosaga II or Oddworld: Strangers Wrath like Gamestop and EBgames? Id love to preorder these for $30!
HA HA HA HA HAHAHA...ahhh....HAHAHAHA HA HA HA. Silly Dustin, you thought Game Rush is dependable and has all the perks?

I'm only kidding with you. But there is no way you can count on game rush having these bonus deals, even if they weren't retailer specific, which I think the Oddworld DVD is to EB.

That's the trade off for all the good deals. In most cases, the deals out weigh the lack of cool preorder bonuses.

I'll mention my straightforward purchase today...

Being able to actually see GBA games so clearly on the DS, my interest in going back to some older games I skipped has increased exponentially. My mission was to track down a GBA Super Puzzle Fighter II.

It turns out almost nobody has any in stock; even gamestop.com, for example, has preowned at $24.99 backordered.

Lo and behold, one of my Game Rushes has three new on the shelf. They were stickered at $24.99, but actually scanned at $14.99.

The moral of the story... even when you intend to pay Blockbuster full price, they force an unexpected deal on you. :D
I check for Mercenaries to BUY and they only had it to rent....although they said the get shipments around 3:00 today in MI. So, hopefully AFTER work I can get one along with a 2nd XBOX.
Did Mercenaries come in? I just saw the IGN review, I hadn't been following this game, but looks like it might be fun.

Xenosaga II should have it anywhere for preorders and most likely it will have it built in for the first print shipments like say the SMT:Nocturne and Phantom Brave SE Soundtrack pack-in. Namco is having the DVD put together for all the fans of the first game as well as to ease people into the second that haven't played Ep.1. It seem they want as many people to get it as possible.
Damn I called 3 GameRushes and they all said RE4 comes out on the 14th.... :(
that's odd... same thing happened to me. i went in today to pick up my suikoden 4 preorder, but they said it wouldn't be available until the 14th! on their preorder board, it was supposed to be available on the 6th, and then they changed it to the 11th! normally, i would just call ahead of time, but whenever i call, they can't seem to spell the name "suikoden" LOL! :p

RE4 will come with a free shirt (while supplies last)

And yeah, the one GR i stopped at on the way home said the 14th as well

the trade 3 for $10 is officially over at mine too. Funny thing is, they just put out a bunch of their rentals for sale like Halo 2, MGS3, etc..
but whenever i call, they can't seem to spell the name "suikoden" LOL! :p
I called and asked for Mercenaries as well, and the guy couldn't even spell that one haha. They also said it'll come out on the 14th like RE4.

Sorry I didn't made it clear. This is for people who have credit at GR. This is one of the better ways I see to make use of the new deal to get new games without spending extra money. If you don't have credit at GR, it is definitely better to just wait for a $35 sale for a new game elsewhere. I'll admit it is not that good of a deal either way.

I called my GameRush where I use to work out and they are sticking to the 14th for RE4. I guarantee you when I call tomorrow it will be available, along with Zelda.

The free shirt sounds nice. Anyone know what color/sizes?
anyone know when/ if the extra $5 when you trade 3 or more starts. There is stuff i want to trade but im trying to hold off.
Maybe they arent going to run this deal then. Also, does anyone know if they accept the Halo 2 headset. I have an extra and I cant return it as i dont have a receipt.

I picked up Mercenaries(XBOX) yesterday and also a 2nd XBOX. Now, I want to do the trade 3, get a NEW game, but do the XBOX releases seem pretty lacking right now? I mean the only good NEW games that seem to be out (or out before the promo is over...Jan 31st) are:

NFL Street 2 (average game, rented it)
MechAssault 2 (have yet to play...MS Retail ;) )
Mercenaries (Got it)
Punisher (I feel this will drop quick though, and I don't really need a new game like this since I have others to finish)
Oddworld: Stranger (Seems intersting)

Anything else?

The reason why Gamerush keeps saying the 14th for RE4 is that Blockbuster does not supply them with exact dates. This is because normal Blockbuster stores only get games on Friday, while GameRush will get the games on the release date. So the Friday after RE4 comes out is the 14th. So if a game comes out on Saturday, then don't expect them to say the release date is until next Friday. But GameRush seems to always get them in when EB or GameStop does. So RE4 should be there today.

$25 for Spiderman 2? That seems like a lot. Also $25 for Mario Party 5? Are you sure it wasn't Mario Party 6?
$25 for Spiderman 2? That seems like a lot. Also $25 for Mario Party 5? Are you sure it wasn't Mario Party 6?
They still charge $39.99 for Spiderman 2 and Mario Party 5 around here so the prices are probably right. I'm shocked Mario Party 6 doesn't get $35. I've been to 10 or so Gamerushes and none of them have had it to buy new or used.
