CAGiversary!
ALL INFO AND DEALS FOR GAMERUSH (pm/post with any suggestions)

If your in the Oklahoma City area stop by my store at Nw 50th and MacArthur (for now). If your a flipper/scammer at least spare my store the crap titles unless its for presales...thanks. If your good I may hook up with with a special "modification" to a current deal that you may greatly enjoy...

Please note in the next few weeks I will be changing stores to Hefner and Rockwell. They needed the help and while I like my store the pay raise was justifiable and my current sm is moving to pittsburg.

Current Deals

Trade 3 games get an extra $5 per game (LAST DAY IS MAY 16!)

Beginning March 15th till May 23rd, trade 3 games get an extra $5 per game. PSP, NDS, GBA, Xbox, Gcube, and PS2 only. No sports games before '04 and no Freestyle Street Soccer, or minigames/demo discs (the usuals). Also be aware some titles that sell for $4.99 may not work either (Haven, Project Eden, etc.) So don't get upset when they don't.

You may be limited to 10 per day though YMMV.

Trade 2 games and get New Releases and Pre-Orders for $29.99 til September 5th (subject to change)

Should go till September 5th. New releases and Preorder games only $29.99 with 2 game trades (see exclusions above or aka the usual).

Buy 1 get 1 50% til close of business May 16

This works on all preowned games including retro/n64. If any employee disagrees they can call my store at 1-700-22-40049 (not many people know about it but it calls the store in the company by the last 5 digits store code).

Buy 1 Preowned game get another 1 for 50% off. Takes off lowest priced title so separate and make sure employee scans your groups and barcode seperate.
Price and selection will vary by location and quantities are limited. Offer not valid on previously rented movies, sale items or in conjunction with any other discount or offer. Discount taken at register and will be applied towards lowest price games(s). Customer responsible for applicable taxes. Limit 2 per title per customer per day. Maximum of 20 Pre-owned games per customer per day.

1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter
2 out= $24.99 the first month...$29.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

$0.99 Retro Games

All Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, and Nes games are $0.99. Games available depend on which store you go to. Games may not be marked as $0.99, but they will ring up that price. Trade in value of all games on these systems is now $0.25.

OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you.

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) they do have the abillity to ban you from all GameRush locations if they want to (and as I have done but that was only because I was tired of crap PS1...).

Release dates - Go by the shipping date. 9 times out of 10 it is not what the Blockbuster computer says. The computer date is when traditional stores can expect to receive their rental games.

Game Rush receives games typically on Tuesday and Wednesday of the games release. Only reason EB and Gamestop get them a day before is because they get special shipments or their dm picks the games up and brings back that evening (or they are near distribution centers).

Some games have street dates but this is few and far between (outrun 2, halo 2, star wars episode 3, doom 3 are it in the past 6 months).

Digimon Rumble Arena 2 got me 19 after extra 5 this afternoon--so no drop for at least the week.

And yes, this was the Xbox version.

Great, thanks - so I can pick up a few more at Fry's and NOT get the PS2 one this time. For Constantine you can get either - they both fetch $23, so if Fry's is out of the Xbox one look for PS2. My Fry's has about 30 of each, and many Digimon's for both systems as well.
How much are the Digimon Rumble Arena 2 games at Fry's? Any platform.
$9.90 for both PS2 and Xbox. Constantine is also $9.90 for both (though I did see them marked $14.90 on a different rack away from the main games area).

I'm pretty sure you would hit $50 with those titles...

$20 for me before bonus.

Yeap--unfortunately at my local frys someone has cleaned up on both the Constantines! I don't think they ever plan on restocking because of the price, afterall.

I was able to snag a few Digimons in order to get my nephew the GC he wanted + Animal Crossing from Gamerush.

Thanks, I may pick it up now....since I won't lose anything on it...just convert cash to credit basically.

Ok, I picked it up at lunch....$17.99 used. Did not have a EDGE card since I don't really buy things from there often.

[Bow's head in shame]... If you are talking about fry's in Fountain Valley, that was me. But in the spirit of us all sharing in each other good fortune, I did use the credit I built to buy a PSP.

Hope you ahead of me in the next round of clearance shopping.
anyone seen any new psp accessories at their local GR?
yes, they had a couple of pelican accessory packs and some add on speakers, and some nice headphones.

The headphones were 20, the pelican pack 10 (it had a screen protector and some umd cases), I don't remember the price of the big pelican pack with car adapter etc, or the add on speakers.
Double dipping means getting the $5 extra trade in for 3 games AND the trade 2 games and get a new game for $30 at the same time to sweeten the deal. Normally these 2 deals are separate and not combinable. But some GRs disregard it and allow both deals to be done at the same time.

So to make it simple to understand, lets say you trade in 3 games to GR:

Regular way without $5 extra and buy a new game for $30:
Game A - $5
Game B - $7
Game C - $10
------------------------
You get - $22 credit
New game = $30 + tax
You pay out of your pocket - $8 + tax

Double dipping:
Game A - $5 + $5
Game B - $7 + $5
Game C - $10 + $5
-------------------------
You get - $37 credit
New game = $30 + tax
You pay out of your pocket - $0
Store credit at GR - priceless.

;)
Well I would agree in principle in what you are saying, the actual cost needs to include the price of the original games :)

haha--it's all good man, i'm talking about the Industry Frys!

If it wasn't for all the CAGs that bother to post here and not just lurk and take advantage without giving something back--we'd all be worse off.

Good to see you got a PSP--I know for a fact i wouldn't be able to have such a great library of games for mine if not for CAG.

Traded these this morning - all include the extra $5:

XBX:

Max Payne 2 - $7
Azurik $8
Nightcaster $8

Unreal Chapionship $13
Legacy Of Kain $12

The one in Plano off of Mcdermott/Alma will let you. They actually encourage it. I was just trading in some games and they asked if I wanted to pre-order anything. They seem really lenient and laid back there.

does anybody know of any games that are unusual, in the sense that they trade in at an unusually high price

like i remember before that robinhood defender of the crown was like 21 bucks, and the hobbit gcn was like 30 bucks, i made a killing then

does anybody know of any unusually high trade in games, maybe it would help us CAGs a lot, maybe we could start a thread like this

Picked up Unreal Championship 2, Paid in full gt4 mobile for 29.99 each...and 3 dollars added to GR value card after tax of games...

Games include 5 dollar bonus:

Stuntman-8
Ultra Bust a Move-12
Cabela's Big game Hunter-13
Cabela's Big game Hunter-13
Metal Arms-10
Powerdrome-12

*Prices for UMD movies at Gamerush are overpriced... Kill Bill and other miramax titles are at 29.99 including house of flying daggers, the shit titles:Once upon a time in Mexico, XXX, etc. are priced at 19.99... way too overpriced and they don't pricematch! ROAR
You could try to trade 2 games and get it for $29.99 Some stores will let you others won't.
I was lucky and more store only had 2 copies of Doom 3 CE and no copies of the regular one left so they gave me the CE for 29.99, on the receipt it says -30 instead of the typical -20 substracted from 49.99. I think if they scanned it, it would go through with no error.

If you trade in 2 games and get the offer "Trade 2 get new game for 29.99,"

can you get 39.99 games for 19.99??
or is it 29.99 no matter the cost of the game.

29.99 no matter what the cost of the game is. I got DOA Ultimate last week and it was priced at 39.99. When it went through it was 29.99 and -10 subtracted from the 39.99 on the receipt.

I'll assume you are being serious - finding out what trades in for a high price is kind of one of the main themes of this thread! Constantine, Echo Night Beyond, Powerdrome, etc...

By the way, Robin Hood still trades in at $13 (with bonus), which ain't bad (I got it for $5 at Target). I don't know about Hobbit GCN, but the PS2 version only gets $1.50 before bonus - at least it gets the bonus though (unlike Turok).

That is strange, because all of the umd's at my gamerush are 19.99. Even Kill Bill and the others. Take one to the register and have them scan it. Unless they missed price at mine.

That's more than likely the case, as only the Sony titles have an MSRP of $19.99 (except House of Flying Daggers; that's supposed to be $28-$30); the rest carry the ridiculous $30 tag. Of course, if they were supposed to be on sale, that's another story... ;)
Yep, Tekken 5, God Of War, Resident Evil 4...
What was free with god of war? I got the RE4 T-shirt, and the Tekken 5 book, but nothing for god of war, and I bought 2. :hot:

Here are some more recent trade-in prices with bonus:

All are xbox games, except where noted

The Punisher $31
Fight Night Rd. 2 $35
Goldeneye $19
Ninja Gaiden $25
Mortal Kombat: D $28
007: EoN $13
Rallisport 2: $13
Apex $13
PGR 2 $13
GC Beyond Good & Evil $10 (1.99 @ CC, + it's a great platforming game)
PS2 Tribes: Aerial Assault $12 (1.99 @ CC)
PS2 Eve of Extinction $8 (1.99 @ CC)
GBA F-zero GP Legend $11

Traded in just the first 4 and was able to double dip so I got The Godfather & Madden 2006 for Xbox. I was going to wait to preorder them until they officially had the next xbox in their system, but I asked if I could switch them to the next xbox console when they had it in their system and they said they would have no problem doing that. I know most people are complaining that next gen is coming to soon, but I can't wait for it to arrive.

Grrr... My only bad experience with Gamerush was over price matching. I had thought someone here said they didn't, but I thought it was worth a shot - can't hurt to ask, right? They had a copy of Shadow Hearts Covenant for $30 and I wanted to match the $20 EB ad. The one employee there didn't know, so he tried calling his manager. I stand around for 20 minutes as he keeps calling around trying to find the guy, then ringing up other people, then calling again, etc - no luck. He tells me he will keep trying. I go in a few days later (to do some trades) and the manager is there and says no problem, but I didn't have the ad with me, so he wouldn't do it (not the *best* customer service for such a regular customer - what was there a chance I was making it up, even after his other employee had seen the ad?). He tells me to come back the next day and they'll do it. So I go back the next day, a special trip, 15 miles each way, on Easter Sunday in fact, and the first guy is there (but not the manager). He says the manager was mistaken and they DON'T price match, and sorry I had to come all the way down there. OK, TWO more strikes against them for customer service issues - 2, just do the damn match this once since your manager said you would (I know they can just adjust your account balance with no problem as they did it for me once when they forgot to scan the $29.99 deal on a new game) and 3, HOW ABOUT CALLING ME to let me know I shouldn't come in!

So, basically, you can ASK, but I wouldn't expect a price match!

I was soured a bit on GR for about 3 days until I found a batch of cheap games to trade in :) I just try to avoid dealing with the first employee and the manager.

bb/gr stopped pricematching a few years ago. they advertise that they DO pm on trade in value though. you would be hard pressed to find better trade in value with proof from other stores, unless say you have stores that give outrageous credit like that roomzoom fiasco, cant remember the store name at the moment.

I was told by them that they do not price match. So you better bring their add that says they price match in.
