GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Sorry guys, I just got home now. I was going to buy a few copies for you but the last time I did that (Left 4 Dead PC) I got burned big time so I didn't want to risk that happening again. So yeah...if you find it again, keep in mind the UPS option. Also know this: Shipped it weighs about 1.5 pounds due to the metal casing so it's more money to ship than a standard game. Just something to think about.

I'm going to go eat dinner with the wifey and I'll be back around 8:00 PM as mentioned earlier. Thanks! I'm off tomorrow from the casino job and working at the University job. Hope to have the beta 2.0 site up tomorrow for you guys to play with.

Well, it's not so much eBay/Paypal's rule. Many sellers will still ship to other addresses other than verified ones matching your eBay address. I do it all the time, but that being said I'll see if I can hunt some reasonably priced ones down.

** GFC UPDATE **

Great news everyone! I fixed the one bug that was keeping my automated system from going live. So now I have updated the form on my side to work with the new automated system. It allows for pre-processing (calculating your invoice, generating a list of your items and estimating shipping/service charges) and includes Payment instructions too.

At the moment it does not yet let you pre-pay with your credit card information (it requires you to log into Paypal as usual and send the money as you've been doing) but there are a few differences:

1) It won't actually send me the request until you agree to the terms. Meaning, you can use it just to estimate "What would this cost" as I've done for you manually over the last year and a half.

2) You will be able to see a very accurate idea of how much the item will cost to ship to you (as long as you live in Canada and as long as you put a reasonably accurate shipping estimate). I will have selections up to 25 pounds and then anything over that will be processed manually.

3) The service charges - Standard ($2.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional, Intermediate: ($5.00 for items over $150 in value or over 5 pounds shipped) and Large Orders (Over $300 in value or more than 10 pounds shipped) will be added in automatically.

I'm just putting the final touches on it and will launch without the credit card option tomorrow.

Also, there will be a "UPS Option" which will give you the shipping address and payment instructions to cover the service charges.

Once it launches I will look forward to hearing from you guys on how you like the system. Hopefully it's not confusing (I will refine it until it's perfect if that's the case) and we'll work it out to a system that you all like. I'm really excited as I've been working several months on this upgrade. Doing this will allow me to sink more time into the rewards program, the GFC store and much, much more. Wish me luck :)

Setite...crossing my fingers, hopefully by tomorrow night :) that's the plan. I just want to get it up and running so I can have more time to work on the site and spend less time on invoices. I'm soooooo close! Thanks again buddy. I should be able to get a box for your items tomorrow and then I'll invoice you tomorrow night. Cya soon! I'm off to bed now :)

I just spent the last 5 hours working on the new form. I have gone ahead and enabled the "Direct Funds" option on the automated form. This isn't far different than the existing version but it now should estimate your shipping costs accurately as well as service charges. In addition, the payment page will give you full payment instructions unlike the old page. I will be enabling credit card payment options and the UPS options in the next few days as well :) Please let me know what you think. All suggestions are appreciated!
I will be enabling credit card payment options
will it be possible to simply transfer money from the debit/credit card to your account with no paypal involved?

Setite, it depends. I am considering to pay for credit card processing services that do not involve Paypal but no matter what I go with, the credit card processing fees are around the same (or higher) than Paypal.

I'm just curious is the reason you ask to see if lower processing fees would be an option, or did you have another reason? Let me know =) I'm still weighing all my options. Thanks!
---------------------------------------------
Maigoyume, sure thing buddy.

Maigoyume, it looks like you had enough credit to cover both of the games and shipping plus service fees. After all that you still have a few dollars left over too. I just went ahead and ordered your games and will have those out to you later this week. Thanks again :)

I would've thought that I was way over, since I have 3 games purchased that you've been holding for me

2x rhythm heaven + TWEWY ($9.99x3)

Oh...that's why :) I never actually put those into Direct Request form. So in that case yeah you'll owe some money. My mistake ^_^ I have your three games here and totally forgot about that invoice. I'll go modify your invoice for the three other games =) Sorry about that!

Just didn't want you to end up with my games for no reason  Oh btw if you happen to come across Metroid Prime Trilogy new/sealed for under $30 could you pick it up for me?

Sounds good to me too. I'll send an updated invoice for you tonight ^_^

As for Metroid Prime Trilogy, I have a feeling it'll be hard to find under $30 now that it's going to be out of print. Not saying it's impossible, but definitely not likely that it'll go on sale any time soon. I'll keep an eye out though :)

You are quite welcome PuppetYuber :) Just making things roll along! Stayed home from work again today to get things on the ball. Packing my heart out and stayed up to 4 AM working on code for the website.

Really pouring my heart and soul to make this thing work =)

Looks like we are really on track with the 2.0 upgrades :) I already got a few orders with the new page and it is looking good. Should definitely speed things up with Direct Requests and within the next week or two I will add in the credit card options and UPS payment options as well.

Also, I will leave "Green" GYROS updates on the GYROS page for 30 days and then will remove them completely. I will keep a personal running backup of archived listings of course, but don't want to clog up the page with 1000 orders. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the site, please let me know. I'm always open to new ideas!

Off to bed now guys. I had a heck of a week in terms of playing catch up with orders and I now have earned myself a slightly more regular sleep time today of midnight :) I am going to work tomorrow morning at my University job and then seeing Avatar at night in Providence, RI in IMAX 3D (I can't wait!).

So yeah, keep an eye on the GYROS page for more updates. I've sent invoices for all items I've received from UPS orders as well as sent all invoices for Direct Requests I have gotten. If you haven't received an invoice or don't see your item on the GYROS page just let me know. Thanks guys!

hey goomba what you're doing is great! i just found some great deals on gohastings.com (buy 2 used games, get the 3rd for 1$) and will be deciding whether i want them or not. if i do, il be using ur services! =)
also is it possible to order from costco?do you have a membership there?
I'm just curious is the reason you ask to see if lower processing fees would be an option, or did you have another reason?
You are right, lower money transfer fees would be very nice :p

You should have a legend letting people know what the different colours mean. All of us know but there are people who aren't from CAG who'll be confused. A couple of lines explaining how long they'll stay up is probably also a good idea.

helluvagood, thanks so much for your appreciation of our services :) the GoHastings sale is definitely a good one and yes I can order from Costco. I'm not currently a member (my membership expired 12/01/2009 but you can still order from there without one (they just charge you a 3% charge I think on top of the normal fees/shipping). I may be renewing my membership as well soon.

Ragnar14, that's great that it's back in stock. I will order you a copy today and hopefully they won't cancel it on me ^_^ I'll keep you posted!

Setite, yeah I'm looking into it. Unfortunately, most companies seem to want to match Paypal's fees. Even Google Checkout now matches Paypal fees 1:1 in most cases which is a bummer. I'll figure something out!

Fuzzy, point well taken. If you go and look at the GFC GYROS page now on the website you will see I have conveniently added an explanation and key :) Thanks for the suggestion!

goomba, it doesn't matter if you will find something or not, I still will use your service anyway :) Another MegaTen is coming this March...

Was wondering if ordering from Amazon.com with regards to those $10 promotional credit on games, would I be able to use that credit for my subsequent order?

Sorry if this was asked but this is one big thread.

Guys I am implementing some rudimentary Credit Card payment options on the GFC Direct Request service right now. If you are trying to put in a new Direct Request payment I reccomend not selecting the Credit card option just yet as it's not finalized. Thanks! It will be working very soon though :)

rkenshin, yes you absolutely can use the $10 credit for future orders. In fact if you buy any of those I will instantly apply $10 credit to your account. Just use the DR form if you were interested in ordering them and make note of the gift credit in the additional info field. Thanks!

I have a couple questions. I hope you can answer them, since you seem to be quite nice, especially do something like this.

Do you or can you ship err bigger and more expensive items too? I live in Ontario and i'd like to ship a pet across the border, but I probably don't have enough money, am a minor and don't have a credit card, plus with the fact that it's supposed to be a kind of surprise I guess...

Would that even be remotely possible? (not really planning on ordering it for a while, so details can be worked out)

Also, would it be possible for you to ship a windows xp disk for a laptop? Just wondering, since most of the games I see only come for XP.

Let me guess a 300kg exotic cat.

Gomba, have you seen any deals on Wii Fit Plus anywhere?

bloodweaver, I would honestly have no idea how to import a living animal. Are there standard procedures for that sort of thing? Companies that process them? I really have no idea. I'm not sure that's my forte or something I can even do legally. If you have more information I will look into it. Windows XP on the other hand is quite easy in comparison =P

adrianchan56, so glad that you like it! Enjoy my friend ^_^ Enjoy!

Sounds like a troll / recipe for a disaster. Don't fall for it, Goomb. Windows can be bought at any store anywhere in Canada. Don't get me started on the dog thing.

Yeah Jeffx, cause I go on websites trolling a lot. Right. No i'm, not a troll. You can trust me or not trust me, but I am telling the truth.

I realize Windows can be bought at any store. But like I said I'm a minor and don't have a lot of money like my parents, so I can't just buy a $60 thing without my parents noticing. Not only that, but I can't drive so my parent's have to take me wherever I want to go when I want to go someplace.

>.>

When I first saw the thread, it seemed like a great way for me to solve these problems. But Goomba, if you don't want to 'deal' with me, that's fine. If I were you I would probably not want to risk it anyways.

I can't post any links on the forums yet, so I can't point you to the way I can tell you, but if you look up schwarz kennels on google, you should get the site. The site pretty much outlines what to do at the airport, etc etc.

As for windows, how much do you want me to pay?

:D Hey Goomba! Just wanted to let you know I got Tales of Vesperia in the mail yesterday so I am very excited to play it. xD Thanks so much~!!

bloodweaver:

I think you should let your parents know that you wish to purchase a windows xp cd and a pet. Noone likes surprises especially the pet part.

No offence Bloodweaver but have you never heard of a bus? If you really really want to go somewhere not being able to drive shouldn't be an issue regardless of age. I'm just saying not to let something like that Hold you back.

To be honest, I don't really want my parents to know. They wouldn't let me buy either of them anyways.

And GG, I probably could but I live no where near a bus stop. Literally.

If you're a minor without transportation, buying a pet your parents don't want you to have is probably not a good idea.

A dog is not something you sneak in without the consent of your parents, what the christ. Hell, if you're requesting Goomba's services, that means either you haven't even breached the subject of a dog at home with your parents, or they've already denied you. My brother did that when we were much younger, you seriously have no idea what kind of catastrophe this can create. No parent wants to come home to a surprise furball (and it gets worse once you tell them it'll turn into a giant fureball).

And you say you don't have a lot of money, but the Alsatian Shepalute is a big dog; and even though it seems to be a hardy breed, if something happens you'll be coughing up thousands to make sure he's alright.

Just... reconsider. Don't let the dog be a victim just because you didn't think ahead of the potential consequences :(

Edit: One last thing. That dog is going to be a 10+ years commitment. Where will you be in those ten years? Trying to find a place of your own to live is going to be immensely fun when dogs are often frowned upon. That's more than ten years of food (not exactly cheap if you don't feed him the typical filth), ten years of vet checks, ten years of buying various care products (not cheap either!).

I will have to add a new rule on my site: no shipping living or breathing items =)

Guys, I just got home from work. Going to go eat and then I'll respond to all your questions and get more items shipped out. Got a bunch of new packages in today. Hoping some of the Xbox Live cards are here. Amazon sent out a memo saying they were delayed due to the number ordered. Thanks!

Hey Goomba,

Got three packages dropped off at my desk this afternoon. Thanks for the fantastic service as well as the bang-up bubble-wrapping job!
