GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.
I will have to add a new rule on my site: no shipping living or breathing items =)

Guys, I just got home from work. Going to go eat and then I'll respond to all your questions and get more items shipped out. Got a bunch of new packages in today. Hoping some of the Xbox Live cards are here. Amazon sent out a memo saying they were delayed due to the number ordered. Thanks!
thanks for the update :)

Haha as much as I love the whole dog discussion let me rephrase and edit my statement: I will not ship anything living or once living unless it is: A) Fossilized B) Legal to ship and import and C) Your parents or legal guardians approve. That should cover MOST things =)

Hello. I wanted to ask about customs fees. Are they included in the shipping price? This is something that's always had me confused when having something shipped from the USA, since some places include it in their S/H but most don't, and they can really ruin a deal without you realizing until after you receive the package.

JoJoBlue for most items up to 45-60 USD you don't pay any customs typically. I try to ship your items in such a way that you won't have to pay them, but I won't blatantly lie about customs values. So I won't mark a $500 digital camera as $20. Won't do it so please don't ask me to. If you do have to pay customs, chances are you won't have to pay a lot in most cases anyhow. If you have any particular items you're curious about let me know =) Thanks!

Generally, since you he ships with USPS... You only get "customed" with taxes because unlike other couriers, the government subsidizes Canada post, so you don't have to pay brokerage fees (or something to this extent).

Generally, even if you are charged, it won't be much. I only got charged $15 on a $300 order before -- just make sure it's always USPS.

Heya Goomba, just sent you a DR & some deposit money via PayPal for the amazon XBL card. shoot me an email & lemme know what the total comes to when you order it & i'll get you the balance of the money.
thx dude!

Yes, that's a good point RoganSarine brings up. I only ship with USPS to Canada (and other countries). I ship with UPS and FedEX SOMETIMES in the USA but never internationally. They are absolutely ridiculously overpriced. So USPS First Class for items under 4 pounds and USPS Priority Mail for items over 4 pounds =) Hope that clears things up!

JetEngineJesus, thanks. I got your $5.00 towards the card. It seems you didn't fill in the address information and such though. Please register for the site if you didn't do so yet because soon it will be required for you to be registered to submit (to avoid spam and make sure that I have all your address/Email info and such). It's also required to earn points for our upcoming rewards program!

Gold_guardian, sorry yes I did get your PM but just didn't respond yet. The answer is yes I can definitely ship the two games seperately, though it will increase the cost of shipping by $1.50 or so total. If that's cool with you I have no problem with it :) Sands of Destruction was shipped to me by Amazon today so I should have it by Friday. Let me know!

JetEngineJesus, thanks :) I will go check it out. I should have new Xbox cards by Friday ^_^ Appreciate it.

Goomba can you please cancel that order I had? Sorry, I have different priorities right now. :) If you find any cheap copies of Metroid Trilogy though... ;)

A little bit more dosn't sound two bad if it means I get 2 of the 3 games (Sands of distruction and Odst) nowish rather then having to wait until March for them thanks to the Lunar psp delay

Just let me know the right amount to send you and I can have the money to you in a gif xd

Doing good tkszeto, as promised my GYROS updates are updated as soon as anything changes. I am indeed still waiting on the Toys 'R Us items. Not sure what's taking them so long. They did send an Email a while ago saying they were processed and my credit card was charged as well. I will look into it for you :) Thanks.

I know, I was just getting anxious :bouncy:

All it means is I got more time to collect Amazon Gift Cards to cover shipping.

tkszeto, I'll get right on it. Should have an answer for you within the next day or two. Just have to contact good 'ol TRU customer service.

Also.... just curious, but have any of you (other than JetEngineJesus) tried out the new DR 2.0 system beta? Keep in mind you are not obligated to buy anything (unless you click all the way through the final page and hit "I agree with the charges and want to process this order". Please try it out. It won't actually send me your request unless you follow through all 3-4 pages and accept the last page. Thanks!

The Credit Card page is not 100% up as I'm adding some things to it, but it does work.

Thanks again goomba, I'm actually surprised that TRU is taking so long.

I checked out the new DR and think it's neat. Does USPS chrage shipping only based on weight, or by itme size as well? I'm going to have to actually use it sometime once I find more things I want.

I'm playing around with it a bit as I speak. I'm really liking how it's estimating the shipping charges for me thought weight can be hard to guess exactly sometimes especially when they like to throw in a preorder bonus cd or stuff to throw me off.

Here's the thing, they claim they shipped it 12/31/2009 which means it should have gotten here, but I haven't received it. I have to make sure they didn't accidentally deliver it to my neighbors or something. I'll update you soon. Don't worry :)

tkszeto, USPS doesn't charge by size unless the item is very, very large (as in long usually). For most packages though it's almost entirely by weight. I have programmed the site for up to 25 pounds and will be adding more options to it once I finalize all the options on the other pages. I'm going to work my best to automate my services as much as possible =) Because I have better things to do than type up invoices. I'd much rather work on web design, reward pages, and actually order/pack items ^_^

Gold_Guardian, if you check on Amazon then you can typically get a rough estimate of shipping weight. It doesn't matter so much that it's perfect anyhow. It's just so you can pay most of it up front and potentially all of it in one shot, which speeds up the shipping process. For most games estimate 7 ounces shipped and for CDs it's roughly the same. If you have any questions about item weights I can always give you an estimate should you want one :) I ship a lot of things lol.

One more thing, the "Order Numbers" that are generated by the DR 2.0 system are more or less random. They don't repeat (at least they shouldn't) but aren't used for much else other then for keeping track of unique orders. Once our system logs in orders into the database, they will tend to be more numerically ordered =) In case you were wondering.

I just realized the reason that JetEngineJesus's order didn't add in the value of the card when you submitted the request. You put the value as $34.99 with the dollar sign. Doing so made the script not see it as a number. I'll go and fix that so it strips out any symbols that aren't numbers :) Thanks for finding a little flaw that could definitely affect the way it calculates order. Much appreciated!

Problem solved. Now the following, when entered into the form will output the same:

$34.99
34.99
$$$$$34.99
$$$$aaaa34.99aaaabbbccd

they all should output as 34.99 which will be translated to $34.99 or $034.99 on the form (at least they should). Let me know if you experience any glitchy things like this. I'm slowly but surely perfecting my methods :) Thanks!

The leading 0 in the price is a bit annoying but I understand it makes the coding a lot simpler :)

Anyways, I got the Seinfeld game from you in great condition, my brother was thrilled with the gift. And... I sent the money for the quibids thing we discussed. Thanks again!

Actually, the leading zero isn't part of the actual code. It's just typed to make the numbers line up (because I'm OCD like that). If you want me to remove the zeroes I will make it an option in your profile that you can toggle on and off. Not a problem =)

That's one of the things I like about you Goomba! Always striving to improve your service while most would be content to simply let things stagnate where they are!

If Amazon.ca had have your work ethic then their list of upcoming games wouldn't be so gosh darn shitty and out of date and I'd probally use them more often. It's funny how a big busness like that could stand to learn a thing or two from the little guy thought personally I like to support the little guys as much as a can!

emjaymj, I'm so happy that you got the Seinfeld Monopoly already. That was pretty quick actually :) I went ahead and credited your QuiBids account. Should be all set. Thanks for your fast payment. Just one question though: did you press the "I Agree and Want my Order to be Processed by GFC" button at the bottom of the page?

Gold_guardian, not only do I strive to make things as good as possible, but I really want to make it as perfect as possible for you guys. After all, you guys are the ones who fill out the forms =) I just get the back-end stuff of it, so I'd prefer you guys be happy with the site. I can make it as pretty as I want but if it's not useful to you then it won't really be a success.

Just let me know what you want and I can pretty much set up just about anything. Some things take time, but I'm devoted enough to the site and as I said, this is the year of GFC :) Automation will give me infinitely more time to develop and improve the services =)

I really do appreciate all the kind things you guys have to say about me and my services though :) Makes me feel really happy!

emjaymj, you will be happy to know I have temporarily turned off leading zeroes on all prices =) I will enable it as an option in the future versions but for now I'll turn it off. It's actually easier on my end as the formatting had a lot of conditional statements. Disabling it means I just output the prices. Enjoy!

Alright guys, I'm going to bed now. Busy day again tomorrow. Hope to have a ton of new packages in and shipping out tomorrow. One friendly reminder. When using the new DR form, you MUST click the image that looks like this at the end:

agree-and-process-order.png

Until you do...nothing will be sent to me or processed. This is simply because I want you to get comfortable with the new system and also because everything up until clicking it will allow you to create estimates and get a rough idea for yourself without having to commit to anything. Thanks guys!

Ah cool. Thanks for the informative replies. One more question I forgot to ask is if there is any tax involved when you order from Amazon.

To make things simpler, I'll just tell you what I'm thinking of getting. I want to get a wired Xbox 360 controller, which the forum won't let me post a link to. I fill out the form using the price of $28.96USD and 1lb weight, which adds up to $37.46USD. Then I realize $28.96 is pre-tax, and I have no idea what state if any Amazon is considered to be part of, so I have no idea whether there's tax or not, and how much if there is. I doubt the tax will add much to the cost, but I would like to pay the correct amount the first time.

Hah, one of my friends *just* had a FedEX package arrive yesterday. He won a $100 gift certificate for some US based shoe store, and figured it doesn't matter if free shoes bought online don't quite fit. So he ordered a pair or 2. How much does the FedEX man want to hand them over?! $138. Yes, more than the value of the package, which was meant to be free... Needless to say my friend is ignoring that delivery, the FedEX man can keep it for all he cares

I did NOT have to pay taxes when I ordered to his address, so I don't think so. BTW, you might be best off taking advantage of a free amazon prime trial in order to save on the amazon shipping costs, so that you're just paying $28.96

JoJoBlue, no there is no tax charged to me on Amazon. The only stores that typically charge tax online for me are stores that have a physical presence in my state (Gamestop, EB Games, Best Buy, Target, Toys 'R Us, Gap, Old Navy, etc.). They charge 6% on all items. For clothing all items over $50 USD. Hope that makes sense.

If you have any other questions let me know :)

Just to double check before I send anything but it's just $1.50 if I want Sands of destruction and Halo 3: ODST sent now rather then together with Lunar PSP when it comes out in late febuary right?

I think there's already free super saver shipping for this, so it's all good.

Yup, you explained it perfectly. I think I will go through with the order when I get home.

Gold_guardian, yes that's right. It will be $1.50 extra to have the items shipped at separate times. Well worth it if you ask me since you can play the other games right away in preparation of waiting for the next one :) I'll await your choice.

heimdal, I will go check your PM and write you back. Just got home from work :)

JoJoBlue, yeah most items over $25 are available with free Super Saver Shipping on Amazon. I subscribe to Prime with free shipping for all items as well. Looking forward to doing business with ya!

Well that's an easy choice! I've sent the money xd Thanks Goomba :D

I'm really Looking foward to starting my live subscription once ODST gets to me in a couple weeks! I got a card on sale recently and have been saving it for that game specifically!

Okay, that makes sense I guess. Much better than Canda post.

Order #822 finally arrived!

Most disappointing thing (this is Logitech's fault, though), is that they screwed up packaging the different ear buds.

I have 2 large, 5 medium, and 1 small. Turns out small is the size that fits my ears the best. :bomb:

Maunderer, sorry to hear that. I'm assuming that you could always buy replacement ear buds relatively cheap though right? Best of luck. How do they sound? I'm considering to get a pair myself though it seems to me all headphones/earbuds are entirely way too fragile for my tastes. I always go through iPod headphones (the Apple ones) several pairs a year. They just always end up fizzling, losing audio in one ear or losing sound completely. I guess wrapping them around my phone and sticking them in my pocket kills them =P At least the Logitech ones include a case!
RFG is in :) The website was supposed to say shipping 01/14/2010. Hope you get it soon ^_^
ZOMG I harz tooo happy.Thank you Goomba :D

I just ordered 2 x SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 Player (1 x Black, 1 x Dark Pink) off Woot.com, delivered to your address. They are refurbished, but only $12.99 each and are considered to have exceptional audio quality!

I made a request using a 0.00 value so my invoice only charges me your fee + shipping. It should be accurate. I included the total value in the comments for you to declare it properly though - $25.98. The only problem is, I got two email confirmations for it and I think it might have been done a 3rd time when I wasn't logged in. So just use ONE order (that's TWO mp3 players) and disregard the rest.

Thanks again!

Also... if you could possibly share some information: I noticed on the Gyros system somebody ordered: *Dragon Age: Origins: Collector's Edition + Mass Effect 2: Collector's Edition (PC)*... how much does that cost before (and if possible, also after) shipping to Canada. I'm also interested in Valkyria Chronicles and wonder what the best price you can get on that is as well. Appreciate your time and effort :)

Blargh, transferring funds into paypal is super slow. I don't think it will complete until almost 2 weeks later. Will you be trying to set up credit card payments again anytime soon?
