That's just persistance and patiently waiting to buy stuff until an awesome deal/flip/sale comes up. You can't build up a bank like that by buying new MSRP games all the time. As some wise man said "credit begets credit" LOL It's like a crtoon snowball rolling down hill getting bigger on it;s own momentum.
LOL, I believe that was me!
If you work the system, credit begets credit. :)
IT WAS!
I cant remember the last time I spent real money there also.
I did pick up a free turtle beach x11 last week from the powerrewards program. I gotta admit...I like it. It adds up fast while flipping and trading.
how are those turtlebeach? i have 11000 gamestop points but the program just started here a month ago. i have my eye on them. i hope you fellows arent doing anything illegal. i came from slickdeals and those fellows were always talking about returning this new game and that game to walmart for store credit and kmart coupon scams. i would rather not go to jail.

ROFL, no I don't participate in return fraud. The most trouble I can get into is getting banned at Gamestop for being a reseller (trading in too many of the same game). I have been temp banned from Gamestop.com for purchasing too much, though it's only a 30 day account suspension.

I think the most unethical thing I've done is sign up for Amazon Mom...when I'm not a parent, that I know of... (though technically I do take care of my nephews and niece occasionally)
are you the fun uncle? thats cute. also what is a game share in your signature?
I guess you could say that. I'm the uncle who spoils his nephews and niece, which they don't mind, but it does tend to make the other uncles and aunts a little upset with me =p

PSN accounts (and the games purchased on those accounts) can be shared with up to 5 people per account. Game sharing is purchasing games on a new account and then selling those other 4 shares to other people. It's a great way to get DLC and PSN games for 1/5 of the regular price :)
xbox gamer. rats. i was hoping this was an xbox thing.
Nope, the best you can do on Xbox is purchase the game on someone else's console, and then you have to play it while logged in on your own console. The console you originally purchase the game on will hold the license for that game, and that game can then be played using anyone's account on that console. By logging in on your own console, you verify that you are the owner and then can play the game.

It's a bit convoluted but that's the extent of game sharing on an Xbox. I have an XBOX as well (actually 2 of them) but I tend to do most of my gaming on PS3 partially because of gamesharing and partially because my closest friends play on PS3.

Dammit! Another (limited time) price drop on used 360s. How I long to see the day when I'll be able to find a PS3 for even close to that price. ;_;
thanks for the tip.lol. i do a little side reselling but nothing that nets me 800+ gamestop cash. come on, throw a girl a bone here.
I will personally PM you next time there is a big flipping opportunity.

Just as an example...last year there was like 3 consecutive months where games at Best Buy were free after coupon, and like many CAG I grabbed up as many as I could. If I had my other computer around...I'd show the stack of 40+ copies of the Nerf Bundle that ended up being free.

Trading those games got me a free refurbished laptop off of Gamestop.com
(which they sadly no longer offer, it was an Asus gaming rig).

Just keep your eyes open and obvious flips should be...obvious.

To whichever Mod is deciding to delete all of my posts, PM me and tell me which of the terms I've violated. Otherwise I will simply PM every mod asking the same question.

How are the Wii Big Supershell Controllers? $5 a piece doesn't sound too bad. I just ordered the Red Wii and will need some controllers. I don't like the A+B button placement though!
The Hawx 2 $20 price is online only guys. Just checked their website.
shouldn't matter, I've never seen a weekly ad not effect prices in store, this would almost be false advertising b/c the ad doesn't mention it's online only..

Look it up on the GS.com website and you'll see that it lists "Online Price Only":
PS3 - http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=78087

It is in GS weekly ad, so you should be able to PM @ BB if you take a copy of the ad to BB. I got the copy in my Sunday newspaper, and it is $19.99 (valid 11/7 - 11/13).

But somehow I have a feeling that Amazon is gonna price match them. Just my thoughts... ;)

Edit - Uh, anyone else notice that the Monster Hunter Tri BUNDLE is 29.99? Of course it's OOS online and online only price...unless it too is in the ad and can be PM'd at BB.

(Re: HAWX 2) Man they make that confusing; the online copy is not available to pick up in store, but you can do it a different way and place a hold request in store for it. Just might not get the same price. Ugh.

I noticed that too last night, but on the other hand it is in the regular weekly ad so that makes it seem like an in store deal too. I guess we'll just need to wait for someone to try to buy one in store today. I was planning on getting it on Tuesday so I guess I'll know whether or not to bother going to GS before then ;).

I just called the GS up the road from me, the guy said that Hawx 2 is also $19.99 in store. I'm headed that way right now, I'll update this when I get back.

EDIT- Ok, I just got home with my copy, its definitely $19.99 in store also!

Looks like everyone is jumpin on hawx 2! Guess i'll bite at this price too! thanks op Does BB still match GS? I need some reward zone points!

I'm thinking bout using this I have a original model GBA (glacier with the batterycase). I will give em a call to see how much the base trade in is and add 10 to it so I can pick me up a PSN 20$ card.

Ok, as with Daz, I just picked up HAWX 2 for $19.99 in-store!! Make sure the total the deal out, thats the only way it pops at $20, don't freak out if you see it on the ledger at $49.99 when they're scanning it..this is such a great deal b/c I got HAWX 1 for $15 from Sears only in like June..spending $5 more now on part 2 when a Sears of Target clearance price may only go as low as $14.XX seems well worth it to me :D

Had them scan and total out a Monster Hunter Tri bundle, sadly remained $49.99.

Also, if you plan on PM-ing GS at BB, GameStop is not an option to PM. This creates a YMMV situation, but you can always suggest they use the option, 'Other' to comply..
Yes, BB will pm GS
Actually I tried taking a flyer from GS to BB a while ago to PM and they ended up telling me that they don't consider them competition.

I got $8 base for my GBA original today. Also $20 base for the PS2.

I didnt know it was a YMMV situation. I have only pm'd twice and didnt run into any problems either time. Now that I know this, I'll probably be shot donw the next time I try

Does anyone knows what a xbox elite trade in credit is going for? I really wanna trade up to a slim xbox.

Gamestop's website shows the trade-in deal for any hardware is actually $10? So I'm taking it the $25 stated by the OP is false?
Extra $25 trade in on Wii, hmmm I never play it and got Kinect now so I may do that......
You sure about that? Might want to keep it around for the upcoming Zelda. Unless you aren't a fan. But I don't know who isn't.

I don't play mine either but it'll stay around as long as the Zelda franchise lives.
meh is it worth picking up one of them old 360 models for $99?? kind of eh about getting one cuz they r used
I was thinking about this too, if you do you may need a warranty from gamestop, I don't trust used 360s
You sure about that? Might want to keep it around for the upcoming Zelda? Unless you aren't a fan. But I don't know who isn't.
I'm contemplating selling mine as well, though probably on eBay and not GS. My Wii has been collecting dust for months upon months now and the one or two titles I would play a year aren't even worth it to keep this system around. My sister still has her Wii though so worse comes to worse I'll just play it on hers.

Yeah I hear you on that man. The last time I played mine was when Super Smash Brothers was released and it just been collecting dust. Since you have a backup, getting rid of it on eBay wouldn't be a bad choice.

stopped past a gamestop today and they said ONLY CERTAIN STORES get the 25 bucks its only 10 more in their systems for a ds lite... maybe tomorrow (maybe not in the systems yet)

I just had my local BB (Valencia, CA) PMd for two copies, one for Xbox 360 and one for PS3, without any problem. :)

called gamestop and he said he had hawx 2 for $10 off for $49.99. i laughed and called a different gamestop. dude says its his 3rd day and doesnt know how to work the system so he took 10 minutes ( i was grocery shopping, so im cool) and finally tells me yeah they have it for 20. so i went to the first and yeah they have it for 20, lol.
then when im leaving i look at my balance and it is about 300. i know i didnt spend 150 in cred cuz the last thing i bought was fallout new vegas mid october for $45. so i called and had them look up my history and i checked online and both history looked fine. so i called customer service and they said there was a $150 hold on my account. lol. i go what for, and they had no idea, so now im back up to $450. woot. thank goodness. i thought money was just disappearing. peace!

off to go plat toy story 3 lol

You better be careful and keep a close eye on that balance, since I had about $100+ disappear from my EDGE card the one time after I tried to get them to consolidate the 3-5 cards I had with $100-150 on each a couple of years ago. They tried plunking everything down on ONE card but the system somehow kept that card in the system and it ended up using credit from that one on the next person's purchases.:bomb:

Luckily I had a running total in my head, so it was just a case of getting them to cross check it and refund me. It took about a week, but it definitely pays to keep an eye on your card's balance, especially if you have more than just a couple bucks on there.;)
