I think the story was making fun of the BF bargain hunters... specifically those in the video gaming department. If it wasn't satire and some shmoe trying to brag up the place, he's a pretty sad individual.

i remember a few years ago getting Super Smash Brother and Pikmin 1 for $25 plus a $5 rebate. Sadly that is still a lot better than any deal EB/GS has for this year.
 
So far I have no reason to go anywhere on Black Friday. Unless someone has a real good deal on a HDTV I'll likely be sitting this year out (which is fine by me).
 
I'm confused. The ad seems to suggest the deal is only for the games advertised. Or is there still a B2G1 Free on all used games? And the ad just shows what other games happen to be on sale?
 
The EB sale/Gamestop ad sucks.

The Office Max has a great deal on a 1GB and 2GB SD cards though. I might pick 1 or 2 up for my Wii.
 
Wow, what a letdown... I was excited until I clicked the ad and saw how lame the sale is. After reading a bunch of your posts, I can't help but agree that it seems stores don't care that much anymore to make super-cool discounts. They know you're going to flock there like sheep anyway. Lame!
 
Talk about lame. A couple used deals (SM64 DS, & Metroid Prime Hunters for $15) and the B2G1 are decent, but for the most part, this is just sad.

I used to only shop there for new and used. Now I have 5 games Im getting this month. One is from EB. the rest are from amazon. And not to mention that I dont order used from the website anymore. I used to get at least 4-5 used games per month.
 
anyone else notice that the ad is cut up, and is missing other things, like $20 for used kameo? obviously not the best deal, but looks like some things were missing...
 
Wow, I love how you all just jumped to conclusions. This is not actually Gamestop/EBs black Friday ad - this is just their regular circular. Not that their deals won't suck, but these aren't it. As it turns out, the Internet is not a reliable source of "leaked" information. Who knew?!
