Is amalur worth it at 38 used? Should i wait?
if you dont have any other games to play, then sure...but otherwise i would just wait
sorry for this repeated question, but is Borderlands GOTY come with a dlc code or 2nd disc?
All versions now should have it on the disk. The first run copies had a code.
sorry for this repeated question, but is Borderlands GOTY come with a dlc code or 2nd disc?
On the 360 it's an extra disc that you load and save to your HD, so if you already have vanilla borderlands you can save it to your HDD and return it. I let one of my friends do that with my GoTY edition and as for the the PS3 it's all on one disc almost like all the dlc was part of the original game.

To be honest, I'll probably pass on all of this. WKC2 isn't considered all that great from what I've read, and since I don't care much for MP I won't really need the online pass. If I don't find Catherine, no biggie since I still have my Best Buy copy. Interested in LA Noire, but probably can get that on PC complete cheaper than that over time.

I'm probably more interested in the used sale later this week.

Well I either hope Amazon matches those games, I order them off Gamestop.com, or I find it tomorrow (It will be closed by the time I get to one)

Just went to local gamestop and picked up AC:R and Batman: AC for the prices listed here.
Don't see anything else I want. Just time to wait for Twisted Metal to come down in price.

EDIT: BTW, Can someone explain to me how I can get the first Assassins Creed off my AC: R disc? I thought the PS3 version came with it? I've looked through like all the menus.

Question. If you have money on your Power Up Pro card, can you use it for an online purchase?

Got Catherine and Mortal Kombat Komplete, which the employees didn't even know was on sale. Also, some guy walked in with a PS3 Guitar Hero guitar, drum kit, and mic and said it had been in his car for 2 years and he needed to get rid of it. Manager said they no longer take them and the guy said "well, can you just give them away?" I said I'd take the guitar and mic (no room for a drum kit, especially since the only music game I have on PS3 is DJ Hero 2).

Also got Dead Island, Dead Rising 2 (he gave me the Zombrex edition), and Ghostbusters used in anticipation of the B2G1 starting Wednesday. They also had some decent Gamecube games that I may get when the B2G1 starts.

Absolutely.

Went to my closest GS to pick up MK Komplete, but they had just sold the last sealed copy.
Drove a couple of miles to another GS and they still had a sealed copy. Gave them my PUR card (free one), but the game rang up to $60. The guy checked a sheet and said that the sale only applied to used versions. I told him to check the printed ad, since it made absolutely no reference to used versions. He said I was right and I bought it for $30.

The game synched perfectly with my saves from the Vanilla version. It does not come with an online pass, but then again, I had already redeemed the pass for my vanilla version. I think it's not needed anymore though, not even for the Vanilla version, since it's not available for purchase on the PSN store (I couldn't find it at least ).

Does the case on your copy say "free original assassins creed" on it ? If so then install it off the disk. If it doesn't say that then you have a copy that doesn't have the first one on it

picked up unit 13 for $20 (with coupon)
the coupon was not working, but the guy that works at gamestop is a nice guy and he gave it to me for the $20, he said since im always there he will do it for the $20.

went to bestbuy with the gamestop ad and price matched la noire CE for $20, twisted metal for $50 and MK KE for $30. the la noire almost didn't work, when the guy looked at the ad and saw that it said $30 reguler price at GS and $40 reguler price @ BB he said i dont think this is the right one, but then the manager came over and said its fine just do it for the $20 :). everything thing was (reward zone cash) and store credit, so didn't spend any cash.

just to let you guys know, if you are trying to price match Mortal kombat KE at bestbuy without the paper ad from gamestop, gamestop's web site is not showing it on sale for $30 only used copy for like $28. so you have to get gamestops ad and show it to BB to PM gamestop.

Good pickup for you but that guy was an idiot. That stuff sells for good money on Amazon (sold 2 wired 360 guitars in January for just under $100.)

Thanks, will probably wait for now. Still have a huge backlog.
Picked up KOA for $40...thanks OP
Just wanna let you know that game is worth it even at full price. I put in 80 hrs in order to get platinum.
So how is the situation on the sale? Is a lot of stuff selling out quick?
LOL, two stores I went to within the first hour of opening, had no signage out whatsoever. The first I was waiting outside with about 5 other customers, NONE knew about the sale or were there to purchase anything from it. I'm sure if you were to make it out today you could get anything you wanted..(except used YMMV)

I would like to do it today but it about half an hour from where I live and by the time I got ready it would be closed. Im going after I get out of school tomorrow and hope to find Catherine.

I tried to use the $10 off of modnation racers and they said it would stack cause the on sale price is an offer, so I tried to use a power up rewards $10 off any one item and it wouldn't work, they would not override it and and i told them to keep the game! Then I called corporate and they said a sale is an offer and since the power up rewards $10 off says not valid on other offers and that a sale is a offer then i can't get modnation for $9.99 which i think is stupid.

The Borderlands GOTY edition has two versions.

I'm pretty sure the dlc on a separate disc one isn't available anymore . It was very hard to find the last time GS had it at $20 . Unless you find it used which as always is YMMV.

The new version has all the codes inside to download from XBL. Just an FYI incase someone expects it on disc.

My stores didn't have any signs up. Just stickers on the games. Inventory seemed limited too.

Question. Does White Knight Chronicles 2 (PS3) have an online pass?? I passed on a new copy because the used was cheaper. Might have to return it.
Traded in MK regular for around 19 bucks and picked up the komplete edition for around 10.
I did the same thing. Got the last sealed one too at my Gamestop. Also picked up Ass Creed for $20.

I think there's an online pass that's printed on the back of the manual. I asked about the additional DLC that's supposed to come with it, but it doesn't look like I got it with my purchase.

Inventory definitely seems limited. I got the only MK: KE for PS3 that I saw at 2 stores, and the only WKC2. I also got the only used PS3 Catherine and KOF XIII (no soundtrack ;[ ) at one store and will head back on Wednesday to get it adjusted for the upcoming B2G1 free. Both stores had a number of sealed AC: R Signature Editions.

EDIT: I did get the WKC2 DLC - it printed out with my receipt. Yay!

Actually you have it backwards. The original GOTY edition had a voucher for the DLC, while the new one contains all the DLC on a separate disc.

Wrong, direct opposite.

As long as the front of the box doesn't say codes, you're fine. Originally it was codes but people complained and it was later put on disc and has been for over a year now.

Huh, thats interesting. I got Borderlands GOTY today and got the two disc one.

I hit three different GS stores today, and not a single one of them had the games in a special bin, or big signage, or an area to browse... anything. The last few years, during Game Day Sales (or w/e it's called), the WOULD do those things. Makes me think this is just a small taste of the "real" deals we'll see in the coming weeks.

Agreed. The closest Gamestop to me didn't have any of the printed ads, no signs, and the employees seemed to be blissfully unaware of any sale. Hit up another Gamestop, got the ad, took it to Best Buy and had them match the $30 MK Komplete.

The Best Buy worker asked to see my Gamestop PUR card, LOL.

Yes it does. You'll need it for MP.

Can't seem to check inventory on KOA:R? Was going to run out on my lunch break to call them, but I always like to use the hold at store option. Hmmm...

Picked up the MK:K I had set to be picked up via Hold In-Store, and it was sealed. Yippee!

And I too noticed the lack of...awareness in the store about the sale. No bin (thankfully I suppose), and you had to hunt out the titles actually on sale. And browsing the used DS games in that 2-sided case (your lucky if you can see the title, let alone any pricing)? Pain in thee royal arse.

Do I trade in Borderlands GOTY PS3 and buy it back used on 360 for the achievements? I miss playing the game and did everything possible in the PS3 version already.

Picked up :ps3:AC: Revelations SEALED today for $19.99. It was the "Signature Edition" with a code that says it expires 1/15/2012, but it still worked for me. Also has Assassin's Creed 1 on the blu-ray disc, 7.8gig install, but worth it.

EDIT: For those wondering, I just loaded up Assassin's Creed one, and it recognized/used my save file from the disc version with no problems, cool

picked up mk komplete and white knight 2. seems that gamestop has finally stopped gutting the sale games, cuz all my stores put the sale games in the front, still sealed, and put big stickers on them so people knew that they were on sale. awesome!!

What was funny last year during the GameStop Game Day sales is that I got a gutted copy with both the DLC codes and the disc with the DLC included.
Yea it's the same manual. I have no fear that it will work without a KP.
could you please tell me if it worked with no pass?

Edit: my girl went there to get ME3, she had bought it used and I told her to get a new copy for 2 bucks more, she said there were no signs or anything

I love this game and preping for borderlands 2 doesn't hurt.

Used or new? For DLC do you mean the online pass or?
