For those of you that are interested, have a B2G1 coupon, and are a PUR member.

Far Cry Primal + EA Sports UFC 2 + Dying Light: Enhanced go for about $80.98 + tax.

Great way to get all three new games for less than $30 a pop, which I just did.

That's a great combo except UFC 2...i returned it. Primal is pretty good but I always get distracted. I'm like at 7% completion. I have the vanilla Dying Light. I have yet finish the Following

I'll admit. UFC 2 is kinda blah, but it just released so its market value for the next month should still be strong enough that I'll probably end up selling it on eBay.

I enjoyed Far Cry 4 enough that Primal could a solid quick play, then sell for me.

But Dying Light was my GOTY for 2015, so getting the game + The Following Expansion is going to be a kickass experience.

I just had a weird experience. So I traded in two games yesterday towards the show. Cool got my $50 credit. I go in to cancel my trade and put it towards the ps VR. So the employee gives me some bs that he has to undo my trade because the bump is only towards the show, wtfeezy?! So he proceeds and then redos my trade from yesterday. I'm talking like he does this thing on the register where I buy back those games for what I traded them for then he initiates another trade for the ps VR.

So I don't make a huge deal about the whole thing because I hate stirring the pot but can he do this? He even told me if I decide to cancel my VR order that my trades towards the VR will be reverted back to before my %20 bump.

No, burn his ass on the survey.

It was very awkward and this is the same guy who refuses to combine coupons with any b2g1 sales. Even his team mate was trying to understand what he was doing. It was weird because when we sign at the end of trades I thought that was it, it's final. I can't believe he undid my trade from yesterday to redo it today

That sounds like the dickhead manager I dealt with when I tried to return the Xbox One I bought during the PS3 trade promo. First he said I couldn't even return it since I bought it using a trade-in promo. After fighting with him for about 5 minutes (actual yelling, as he was adamant that I could not return the console, despite their posted return policy saying otherwise). He finally relented and adjusted the refund to remove the bonus. At that point, I didn't care. I still came out ahead on that broken-ass PS3 that was being held together with double-sided tape.

I feel as if I need to go back when he isn't present to cancel the trade. It's upsetting because I have my only trade credit locked up in a ps VR preorder that I don't want. I planned on getting a water machine from amazon this weekend

That's some BS, I would definitely burn him on a survey. I realize this doesn't help with the VR situation, but for The Show you could have kept the preorder for it, picked it up, and returned it to another store. Still more of a hassle than you should have to go through, but you could have kept the bonus. I know GS doesn't want people cancelling their preorders like that, but as far as I know taking the bonus away isn't their policy and that is just the manager being a bitter prick.

I would just wait until someone else is there and cancel the VR without him around.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take that into consideration. I don't even know how I can burn him in a survey, I feel like it will fall through the cracks.

I should've known better to avoid this particular store but that's just where my wife ended up doing the trades for me yesterday for The Show. Now I have to deal with canceling my VR pre order there and avoid him altogether

I would have just walked away if someone tried to pull that crap. You should for sure burn that guy on the survey and they do look into it negative surveys. If you are going to cancel the VR just don't do it when that guy is there.

There's no guarantee the survey will do anything, but others have reported being contacted by corporate/regional managers over surveys and issues they had in store. The receipt should have all the information for the survey, but it has to be done within a short frame (2-3 days maybe?). I would just be professional about it and share your side of what happened.

If it does GS customer service sucks. I submitted a poor survey for a horrible experience I had on December 20th, I got an email from the distract manager the morning of January 3rd that he was going to make it all better (never heard back from him again even after 3 response emails over the course of 2 weeks) got a call that same day Jan 3rd from an employee from the store (I'm assuming a store manager?) basically calling me a liar about what happened and I have no idea how retail works especially during the holidays (I do). After saying fuck it I forwarded all emails to GS customer service and forgot about it I'd say mid January. I get an email response from GS customer service Feb. 27th saying they just came across my complaint and that they were investigating it and that they would also send me a $50 gift card for my trouble. Got the gift card Feb. 29th. Turned that thing into $250 cash and 10 free games during the recent cash = credit promo.

How would I even complain though, I just felt awkward how he reverted my trade credit like that. They would never do that if it was the other way around. All trades are final is all I hear them say when I sign

you should make it a short term mission to screw him over. i've heard a few cag here buys $1 game to get a survey so the can ding the asshat. after 2 or 3 negative surveys, i bet he'll change his attitude real quick.

If they notice its all coming from the same person they will quickly ignore it.

It sounds like the way he did it you would have had to do things like swipe your card or sign something. Too late now, but I would have walked out before doing that.

When you cancel or return, the system will refund your credit completely so they have to do weird things to reduce the amount you get back (like what this guy did), but I think it also requires you to do something (like swipe your card).

I know nothing can be done now, but I'd just be aware for next time.

Complaining about him on an Internet forum will not solve this for you. Your first mistake was pussyfooting around in the first place. They shouldn't be adjusting a previous trade. You signed for it, the transaction is over. Stand up for yourself.

Second, everyone has already told you how to complain. Do the survey. Give the associate and the store the lowest score you can. Explain the situation and check the box that says you want the DM to contact you.

I hope I didn't hurt your feelings with this post.

depends on whether your store sold out or not, most had 6 PSVRs available for pre order all the ones around me still have preorders available (well at least the 3 I stopped by) so chances are pretty good.  Given that its available online on gamestop.com for home delivery still, it would be kinda weird for them to reject you.

might wanna call though before you go over

I bought a used game (Rainbow Six Siege) the other day at GS, the cashier sold me the Gold version but didn't inform me. (My fault for not being more perceptive but the parking meter was running). I just said, wow that's kinda high for a used title...I did notice he didn't make eye contact the remainder of the transaction like I would read into his soul for what he was successfully upselling me on.

I got home, realized what happen, checked prices and the game new is even cheaper...and the non gold version is 1/2 the price.

Making my return today, well within that 7 day window. If they give me problems, one of us is going to jail and the other to the hospital.

A used gold version should be the same as a regular version since it's a code for the season pass. Unless he sold you a new one that was opened.

Why not just buy it at bestbuy and pay 24 ish?

Yeah, I'd like to see a copy of that receipt if possible. There is no "Used" Gold Edition. :)

the receipt says "Rainbow Six Siege <XB1> 49.99T

###### ###/## Xbox One

You save 10.00 buying preowned!

Purchase Subtotal 49.99

(plus tax and all that) = $51.74 (total)

the box clearly says, GOLD edition...and since it was used, it was indeed opened.

I understand sales ppl doing their jobs, I worked in retail too...but I'm not a fan of how this went down. When I said, "really $51.74 seems kinda high for a used title." He said that the game is still new and popular...and all I was thinking was, get to car before get ticket. If he said, well you have the Gold version which comes in a fancy box and if you bought it new for a few more dollars, you could get the season pass and some old 360 games included.

He didn't say that.

Rookie move on my part, I shoulda done my research but it was an impluse purchase that I do believe I can remedy given their used game policy.

He gave you a used copy of Rainbow Six. So what it was the gold edition it was the same SKU and the same game. Don't have to cause a big fuss and leave him a negative survey. Return it and go buy it at Best buy for $30 until Saturday.

yeah...impulse purchase.

I saw him open the drawer, pull out a copy, opened it, checked the disc then completed the transaction.

If I have problems returning it w/out a full refund he'll get the full brunt of my assault...if there's no questions asked, i'll still fill out the survey more objectively and w/less emotion.

Yeah, I have no intentions of blowing up his spot. I just plan to return the game and then pick it up at BB or Walmart for $30.

That's just not my style.

Just to make sure, you do understand that $49.99 is the pre-owned price for ALL Rainbow Six Siege copies, yes? Gold or Standard doesn't matter. You weren't upcharged because the case you got was the gold edition. Don't burn the employee just because you didn't fully do research. Gamestop sells pre-owned games for only $5-10 off their new price. This is standard gamestop practice. I personally find it silly to only discount a used game that much, but they probably won't change it anytime soon :(

Edit: I'm glad to hear you don't plan on burning him on a survey

I'm so lost on this, you clearly don't research prices when you buy games.

http://m.gamestop.com/product/xbox-one/games/tom-clancys-rainbow-six-siege/120828

49.99 used 59.99 new. A few extra dollars won't give you the season pass because gamestop sells the new gold version for 89.99. The cashier did absolutely nothing wrong, you just didn't look up the price.

Simple solution, return it then go to bestbuy and buy it.
I mentioned earlier it was a rookie move on my part not researching the pricing on this one particular instance...and I'm going to return it later today.

yes, I understand clearly now after reading through all the replies...and no I have no intention of burning any employees.

So yeah, my bad for not doing the research even during an impulse purchase and my mind on the parking meter...also my interpretation of what I thought was happening because after I did the research I thought he sold me the Gold version since it was nearly double the price of other retailers sales atm.

I had cod for lunch today...oh man that sounds game related and might be misinterpreted.

Edit: I had fish over rice for lunch today.

-going to GS later to return my used game.

-not going to fill out any surveys based on my experienced at GS recently.

-then I'm going to enjoy some Rigatoni w/broccoli rabe and light cream sauce w/my son and play PVZ:GW2 w/him.

I'm not exactly sure how to interpret this reply...

I think ppl are reading my replies out of order. I already admitted it was a misunderstanding on my part, hence no reason to retaliate w/a bad review etc. game on.

Oh, my mistake. I thought you were going to jail for assaulting a Gamestop game advisor who sold you a game that you requested at a price that you found acceptable at the time lol
