It worked on games for me yesterday. Traded in Mario 3d world and super smash brose. I ended up getting 30 for smash and 36 for 3d world. Better yet is the coupon still shows under my offers right now...
Well shit, time to make a phone call then. I traded in 240 worth of games right before closing last night, guy typed in the code and said it showed as being applied on the screen, but the balance was never reflected and it doesn't show anything on the receipt. There was a long line and I was in a hurry, so I didn't have time to argue.

alright, i only started reading on this page so i'm a little lost. What is this boost everyone is talking about?

I wanna trade in Dragon Age, Far Cry 4, Kingdom Hearts 2.5, and Elder Scrolls Skyrim Legendary Edition, according to the gamestop app that's about 82.50 in trade in value, how much would that be with this boost/coupon that people are discussing today?

This weekend was pretty good -

Got $223.05 for

Forza Horizon 2

Lego Batman 3 Vita

Metro Redux PS4

Destiny PS4

Shadow of Mordor PS4

Last of us Remastered PS4

Diablo 3 PS4

Final Fantasy X2 PS3

And a Console only PS3.

Paid off Bloodborne, Final Fantasy Type Zero, Battlefield Hardline, and Code Name Steam.

Most of those games I had finished or wasn't playing anymore, the values were pretty good considering they were all purchased with GCU and reward zones or B2G1 free and GCU.

Just a quick heads up that xb1 (kinectless) has gone up to $175 (base) and 3dsXl is at $70 (base).

Hence, after the bonus xb1 (kinectless) is netting $262.50,

and 3dsXl is netting $105

No, don't. eBay is easily the sleaziest company in America. It makes Gamestop look like an upstanding and reputable company.
Are you sure it's eBay itself and not the parasitic sellers using it?

I used eBay last month the for the first time in literally years and years. I went with someone with a high rating and ordered a "refurbished Xbox 360 controller for PC from GameStop" in GS packaging and all. But the controller was in awful condition and certainly GS would have never allowed that product. It was dirty and the left stick got stuck. It even came packaged in an empty Crackerjack box padded with a single plastic grocery bag.

When I tried returning it, seller made me take pictures of the bar code to make sure I wasn't scamming. Fair enough, I thought. Then he wrote me back saying it wasn't the same controller (surprise, surprise) and thn called me all these names.

Thankfully eBay was prompt in helping me and just decided to give me back my money. The seller wrote me again "congratulating" me for my successful scam. Ass. He lives in the same state and now knows my address. Yeah, NEVER AGAIN.

However ebay does fail in one category - not being able to leave negative feedback. Maybe that would have stopped me from buying from him.

And now with all these Nintendo scalpers, my hatred for eBay sellers is at an all-time high. If you're a legit seller, use Amazon.

Their was a random boost in values on select titles on Friday which in typical GS fashion went unannounced. I posted majority of the big hitters that got bumped a page or two back (depending on your post count). The app is accurate to what the store is giving so you will net what you calculated unless you are stacking the 10% coupon from the app that may or may not work as it worked for a cag here but in the console trade in thread according to another cag it did not.

The consoles are getting 50% extra on top of the base so there is that promo as well.

All you need is the free PUR sub or the paid PUR sub to get the automatic bump in values. The rest the POS will handle even if your GS employees are clueless about the promos.

Is there a way to view a continuing list of trade in values ranked by value? I can only see the top 10 in the provided link. I have tons of games and would REALLY rather not search them up one by one.

I have all those top ten games and would never trade them in at that price! They are high because the games' sealed values are high.

Looks like I'll be getting a Wii U today after I trade in some things. Holy crap at the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed $20 TIV for the 360! Is that new?

Anybody know if the $15 off any gamestop item coupon can be applied to nintendo eshop cards?

FYI you get a yr free PS+ when you buy a new PS4 from 3/16 to 3/22. it makes trading in your PS4 now very attractive

This is the most activity this thread has had since august.

10% coupon did not work for me.

Also the manager at my store said the ps2 will get sent back, and probably be for sale on the website in a bundle.

No luck with the 10% coupon today either, but here's where I ended:

  • :3ds: Super Smash Bros - $27.50
  • :3ds: Super Smash Bros - $27.50
  • :3ds: Animal Crossing New Leaf - $22
  • :3ds: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - $27.50
  • :3ds: Majora's Mask - $27.50
  • :ps4: The Order 1886 - $33
  • :ps4: The Last of Us - $33
    TOTAL - $198

The only game I didn't come out even or make money on was The Order. Decided to go digital on MH4U, deciding on Majora's Mask, and picked up some Amazon credit too. Got a digital copy of TLoU last night for $15.xx to replace the physical.

So, did you get an extra $24 back?

Haha, I just got home a few minutes ago.

I got into an argument with the manager because she kept claiming because it says Smartphones, tablets, then the and more part of clearly means i-devices. I tried explaining to her a few times that others have used the coupon and got the bonus on games, and that her kid working last night typed it in manually and he could have mistyped it. She kept cutting me off saying it wouldn't have worked because it doesn't apply to games. Rude as hell. I finally said fuck it, told her I'll just do the survey and escalate it to the DM and walked out.

This is the store I never have problems with, and she's usually really cool about everything with me. But fuck it, I don't take kindly to being talked to like I'm a dipshit.

If anyone here has a bunch of Best Buy credit and GCU, Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is a pretty good semi-flip/credit transfer - $24+tax -> $27.50 on PS4/XB1, $16+tax -> $22 on PS3/360. Note that today is the last day for those prices at Best Buy.

I was planning on doing that but I gotta think about how I can increase my bestbuy credit by trading idk what games, to bestbuy

I don't know it sounds like she was right since a couple of people here have said it didn't do anything.....

Odd, because when I initially posted on here, darthlain said they just used it earlier in the day without issue. Hmm.
I think he could have just been mistaken since he also indicated he still had the coupon in his account. It's possible the register accepted it, but never redeemed it since it wasn't valid for the items being traded.

She is right, it is not intended for games, I tried it yesterday at work for a customer and it didn't work. PUR Pro and everything. Typed it in manually and scanned from barcode in GS App.

Hopefully she doesn't get fired for your non existent 10% extra

Yeah, but the credit he received reflects an extra 10% from the base tiv, on top of PUR.

I haven't done the survey yet, and if I was wrong, then I'm obviously not going to neg the shit out of it. I'm not above admitting being wrong, when I am. She was still needlessly being a bitch, which is just the type of person she is. I've seen her give the same shitty attitude to others, but she's never given me that treatment until today.

While true it hasn't worked for anybody else. It's not that I'm calling him a liar, but he could have posted a receipt to prove it worked when everyone else was saying it didn't.
Yeah, I don't know what happened. But screw it, I'm over it. Conflicting reports + poorly worded coupon = a bloody confusing mess.

No no I'm quite certain it worked since the base for super Mario was 30 and I got 36 on it. I also got 30 for smash bros 3ds even through the base was 25 I will show the receipt later.

Could be worth noting the register was on the new software. No manual override was done.

I can probably crack the code if I have some more info:

Where is the 10% coupon from?

Did you trade a console on the same receipt as the games?

Does it show 10% and an amount 2 times under each item?

Traded in 4 old Wii games I had lying around and got 60 bucks, Nice. Not sure what the hell I'm gonna buy though since BB gets all my business now. :whistle2:k

I know how the whole thing works on the receipt. I wouldn't post it worked unless I'm sure it did. Coupon came off my phone. The games were alone with no console trades, but I did buy a PSTV a bundle because the bonus' made it work out for me. When I'm home I will post the receipt, that won't be till later tonight. -_-

Maybe she was tired of dealing with entitled assholes all day long who try to tell her she's in the wrong when she isnt. Just a thought.
