WELCOME TO THE NEW GAMESTOP TRADE-IN THREAD.

The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. The second post will currently be frequently asked questions but may move it into the first post. Post three will be historical trade-in values from before the list.

Thanks I couldn't find them. On mobile and when I clicked it it just brought up a list of nearby stores lol.
 
So it says the estimate is for 'console only'.  Does this mean just the 1 piece.  No cables? where I can get the additional 30+ for the AC adapter?  Never traded a console in, just a ton of games.

"Console only" just means "no Kinect". You'll need the controller and AC adapter to get the $225 after-promo value.

If I wasn't such a halo fan I'd be all over that F6 one especially since it's probably my favorite shade of blue. However I love that halo design and I was getting the LE anyway so that's the one for me. Hopefully the startup sound is almost as cool as the engine rev.

I finally got a response on my canceled web-in-store preorder: Within 24-48 hours, I'll be emailed an e-GC for the ~$138 that I'm missing. That was easy.

Not to pick nits, but what about the difference in taxes? Unless you pay taxes on things you buy with trade credit anyway.

Yeah, I do. I thought I could dodge having to pay tax on the preorder by doing the web-in-store order at an out-of-state GS that didn't charge tax on store-credit-bought things, but it didn't work. That was probably for the best.

 
What am I supposed to do with all this gamestop credit I have? Will be looking through that list in OP. Maybe I can make even more credit I guess. 

 
So the values in the op are what Gamestop is currently offering for those games? I could go into gamestop tomorrow and they will offer the same trade in value?

 
UFC (Xbox One) and Black Ops 1 (Xbox 360) trades in for $30, not too bad. Hopefully values go live today.

If I used a b2g1 on preowned games could I also use 20% off birthday coupon? Would it apply to lesser value?

Finally wrapping up Majora's Mask and was planning on trading towards my Retro 3-pack pre-order, so this is perfect.

I'm seriously considering trading the Super Mario U / Super Luigi U disc that came with my Wii U. I never got around to playing it and it's hard to imagine I'll want to after Super Mario Maker comes out. $40 is sweet.

Smash Bros. for $40 is also tempting. I played some when I first got it, and always meant to go back but the fact I haven't touched it in 9 months says a lot.
