Getting free stuff from Craigslist?

A great example of why I don't go to anyone's house or let anyone come to mine!

Also, my local craigslist just had a "free" listing for hummus and almond milk. She opened them, didn't like them and wanted to give it away. Yeah...no thanks.

I'm terrified of getting free stuff from there, because of a story I heard that happened in Oregon. A 21 year old girl listed an add for free baby clothes and things, and a pregnant mother (i think near her due date) took her up on the add, the 21 year old killed her and cut her baby out of her... the baby never made it either :( crazy shit..

good video tho
This is why you always meet people from CL in a public place. But that shit was hilarious nonetheless.
That or have someone in your car with you as backup that has their gun and a CCW permit. :D

I had one shmuck a while ago who wanted to buy something from me from CL who would not go into the mall but would park out in the lot and meet me there.

I even had another CAG from down the line who suggested the same meeting place to do a trade deal. I had a few Sears games he wanted, but he just out and out refused to go into the mall to meet. He was 'in a hurry'.

Like wtf....

I meet in public places for most things, but I have had people come to my house and I have gone to private homes. Depends on the situation. Public is certainly preferable, but some things you can't do it that way.

Same here, i'm not too bothered by it I just always let a friend know what address i'm going to and stay on my bluetooth during the transaction. If anything some of the people seemed more afraid I was going to do something then the other way around.

Same. I met some shady sounding people at their apartment and I had my bluetooth headset on with my cellphone in my back pocket with my mom on the other end so she could tell if there was trouble.
Woah. just woah. The whole story sounded like some tabloid BS, but looks like it realy happenned. Just wanted to write about some fucked up stuff going in the US but remembered thta we've actually got even more fucked up stuff going on here.
That link of the one murder in the Ukraine is absolutely nasty. I've watched some pretty sick shit in my time, but I couldn't stomach that. They get right in close up on what's left of the guy in the video's face and I almost lost my lunch.:puke:

That video make me laugh. But yeah I would never let anyone from CL come to my house or the reverse. No deal is worth risking personal safety.

The case of the mother and baby being killed, the fact that it really happened is just heartbreaking. Who would even think of doing something like that to get a baby. It just blows my mind.

Free open hummus and almond milk offered on CL is just too suspicious. If they really didn't want to throw it out they could have offered it to relatives, friends, or hell even coworkers.
