GGT 117: Mr. Vain MILFs and Stepdaughters Edition

Alpha Protocol: Picked it up cheap ($5) from target many months ago. Finally getting around to playing it now.

It's an okay game although much of the mechanics are broken. Decent storyline though.

I'm at the last moscow mission. According to the wikia if I've down the Taiwan missions I can make taking down the Moscow boss easier. Should I do this or will it spoil my enjoyment? (Hell, I'm already playing on easy just so I can 'play' the game as opposed to being frustrated by it)

Any takers for AE, MvC3 or AH3?
I'd be up for a little AH3 in like 15 minutes if you want. I pretty much just started playing it today though, so I'm super scrubby.
fuck off.
This. Hate exclusive preorder content with a passion.
Weirdest message I've got from PSN was this:

100MEDIA_IMAG0035.jpg

The attachment took me to AE in the PSN store.
I got something like that because I had like, $4 in my PSN wallet. It said "Why not try some Minis?" and had a link to the Minis section on PSN.

Patron and Screwdrivers last night while hanging with friends. Pretty fun. Today I hung out and ate a ton of food, also pretty fun.

I'm thinking about applying at a Verizon store. Please kill me.

I shall wait in training mode then.
I was debating that. I don't want to do either.
We've all had our shitty jobs. I worked at Gamestop for about 6 years...

Speaking of work. My supervisor closed up shop at 7pm on Friday and we all went home four hours early. The friday before we went home an hour early. It's nice except I could really use that 4 hours worth of pay...I wish we would have at least stayed until 8pm, we have a break 7:40-8:00 so we only would have had to stay 40 more minutes and could have gotten another hour of pay.

Finished Persona 3 Portable last night and since then I've been meandering around with gaming. Tried some X-Men Legends from the backlog...thought I was stuck on a level that I apparently beat and forgot that I beat it. Played a level of that but the boss I'm at is pretty cheap so IDK. Also been playing Wipeout HD and Warhawk, and debating whether or not to buy Warhawk.

Also I tried to play Knights in the Nightmare but I have no idea what the fuck is happening in that game.

Does Assassin's Creed 2 allow you to go back and get all of the collectibles and side missions after beating it? Or should I create a splintered save once I've unlocked every area to do that?
You can go back.
He can go back to other locations, but to replay certain memories (ie. the flying) then he would need the DLC.

Also, there is no way of creating a different save file. At least this is true on the PS3.

Surprisingly Arcana Heart 3 is fun. Though I feel like the FBI is going to crash in my door at anytime for playing such a game.

Sorry I disappeared all of a sudden earlier j-cart. My internet completely died on me and didn't come back until now. Good games though. It seems like a really fun game.

I figured the FBI found out you were playing a game with underage girls and decided to kill the power to your place.

I think I got a new main with that gun chick.
Hey, LA Noire peeps! Is the DLC any good? I'm thinking about picking up that Rockstar pass before it goes up in price on Tuesday.
I'd say it's worth it.
I'm thinking about applying at a Verizon store. Please kill me.
But you'll have money for chicks and alcohol! So you can drink and fuck yourself into a stupor...much better than killing yourself!

I need to finish ACBrohos, but for some reason that game seems so much longer than ACII.

I wish Infamous 2 had a new game+. I'm really missing the Ice launcher and improved static thrusters abilities.

Since when did Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 have a release date?
I haven't played the DLC yet because I'm just waiting for all of it to come out so I can play it all at once. (I hate getting back into a game for only like an hour, and then waiting another few weeks just to do one more hour, etc.)

With that said, I figure, $10 is a great price for 4 main DLCs plus all the little ones, so I bought it.

Well I would say yes because the soon-to-be 4 extra cases will be $16 by themselves so you can get them for $10, or less if you are playing the PS3 version and have left over money in your wallet as I did.

I have played both pre-order cases (Slip of Tongue and Naked City) and I would say each of them was about 60-90 minutes long, as long as any of the other major cases. Naked City had more action, was longer, and was harder to get a good rating on (no guide I got 4 stars on Tongue and 3 on Naked City.) Next case, an arson one, comes out next week and the final one, another vice one, comes out in late July.

Both DLC cases so far have 5 achievements/trophies for each, 4 hidden and 1 just for beating the case (which is a gold one on PS3 so 2 easy gold trophies.) I would imagine the next 2 DLC cases follow suit.

They are of course best played as you're going through the game so you get the XP during them, but can be played fine on replay mode, just don't get XP. In terms of the story, Naked City ties in with the main theme of the Vice desk while the traffic case does not. Naked City also properly introduces your old Traffic partner as Rusty's new homicide partner so if you thought that reunion was a bit awkward in the game, it was because this case had the proper introduction.
Thanks guys! I'll be picking it up, then!
Exactly.

Think I'll use my first paycheck to buy a gun and put it in my mouth. . .after the 5 day waiting period, of course.
5 day waiting period for a gun? Don't you have someone you can buy from that wouldn't make you wait? I mean, I know 3 dudes that deal firearms back home. Price is a little higher, but they carry stuff you wouldn't be able to get at most gun stores and you don't have to wait.

It's had a release date for quite awhile now. Since right after DW7 came out if I remember correctly.
He can go back to other locations, but to replay certain memories (ie. the flying) then he would need the DLC.
You may be right but I'm pretty sure you can still do sidequests. You can't go back and do certain main quests, but side stuff should still be there.
Surprisingly Arcana Heart 3 is fun. Though I feel like the FBI is going to crash in my door at anytime for playing such a game.
I mean fewer of the girls are underage then you probably think (at least according to the story near as I can tell (although I wasn't paying that much attention)). For instance Heart, Saki, and Weiss who all look somewhat young are in college I'm fairly sure.

With that said, Eko, Dorothy, and Kira have to be severely underage though.

Did you end up playing as Catherine (gal with the giant robot) ihadfg? Gotta love spamming her normal where she flails her own arms and yells "Puku Puku", since it apparently drives Uraizen crazy, haha.
When is the Rockstar pass good till?
It goes off discount on 360 this week, and next week on PS3. The price increases from $10 to $12.

From the deals section:
hmm so one with the cheap wrapping and one with the y fold. The issue i have is as a collector i want the y fold wrapper damnit.
I really don't understand this, I mean the first thing that I find silly is he is talking about a $20 game that I'm doubting will ever increase in value, and well I guess it just doesn't make much sense to me because I buy games to play not to leave sitting around in plastic wrap.

--

Also, on an unrelated note I won my first ranked match in SSF4:AE last night. :whee: Guy I beat was using Yang, it was for best of 3 rounds and I lost the first 2 and then managed to win the next 3 rounds in a row to win the match. One of the rounds was hilarious because he probably jumped in on me 3-4 times in a row and each time I just anti-aired him, but he tried it again anyways, haha.

Well he's buying to collect and you buy to play so yes, there isn't going to be much understanding there.

Sounds like an expensive hobby though, and hardly pays off. I'll agree, collecting to collect is an awfully strange past time.

I agree that collecting is a strange hobby. I have a friend that collects Square-Enix games. Dude HAS to have every one that comes out (one in wrapper, one without), and he has to have every release of each title (Vanilla, GOTY, Greatest hits). It used to just be their RPGs, but it spiraled out of control whenever they bought Eidos. Now he pretty much buys any game that has anything to do with Square. He has like a whole fucking closet full of FF games that are still sealed.

Thanks.

I collect achievements.

Cloud storage lets me create a splintered save. If it wasn't locked, I could copy it to another profile for later use, but since I can go back and finish up everything, it doesn't matter.

Wow, I never thought about doing that. That's genius! Thanks for the idea, Frisky!

Wow didn't think of that, a feature the 360 version does not have.

Only issue though would be getting the achievement tied to the flying machine as you only have 2 shots at it.

That's what I did with my Burnout Paradise save when the trophy patch came out that would require me to start over.

I got the flying kick trophy on the first try, so that's not an issue.
We've all had our shitty jobs. I worked at Gamestop for about 6 years...
Yeah, considered Gamestop too. . .I'd probably hang myself after dealing with shitty customers all day and having to push Madden and MW3 preorders.
But you'll have money for chicks and alcohol! So you can drink and fuck yourself into a stupor...much better than killing yourself!

Having money is nice, and I'd like money for booze and chicks. So you are completely correct on this. ^__^

There's a new Great Wall-mart of China opening up like 8 minutes from my house, might hit them up, but I know I'd hate that too. . . probably even more.

Think I'll just start selling drugs and robbing stores.

Welcome to IL, gotta wait 5 days and have a FOID card. (Firearm Owner's Identification Card) Costs money for the card and you have to renew it every so often.

I could find one on the black market, but I'd have to work like a month at a shitty job to afford one.
Duuuurrrr does it have flash, movies and 4G?!
Yes, love that ad. DURR 4G LTE UPGRADEABLE!! Doesn't even come with the shit. :nottalking:

Flash needs to die anyway, shit sucks. Probably the only time I'll agree with Apple on anything.
It feels earlier than it really is. fuck, I am ridiculously pumped for some reason. I'mma go work out and shit.
I just woke up, slept 11 hours like an abandoned baby. And I've got nothing to do all day. Time to play games!

I did the same thing with my Demon's Soul save.
Think I'll just start selling drugs and robbing stores.
Why would you do something like that, clearly you need to watch more Fast and the Furious movies, then ask yourself, "What would Dominic Toretto do?"

Gotta love my local wal-mart. Bringing you great deals like NCAA College Football 06 and Madden 07 for the low low price of $19.86.

I don't think there is a Wal-Mart anywhere close to where I live. The closest one seems to either be in Jersey or out really far in Queens (edge of Queens) on Long Island.

He would go and steal 50 cars in 72 hours for some crime boss so his brother's life may be spared.

I think so, anyway. :whistle2:k

Walmart. Rolling back prices everyday. ^__^

Hey if you take a full price game of $60 that is 6000 cents. Now lets say you roll back 2 cents every day, and we are waiting for the game to reach $5. So:

((6000 cents - 500 cents)/2 cents a day) / 356 days in a year = about 7.5 years

So I guess maybe they are right on track.
