Let's talk about Katy Perry's rack. Would make an excellent
motorboat
game.
That episode was the first time I ever got hard watching simpsons.
:bs:
You guys should really watch Breaking Bad...

...seriously.
i've got that and Walking Dead on my ps3 right now...watching them after I watch
Black Lagoon ^____^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

I watched the first season of BB and loved it, but I got behind and still haven't caught up with 2/3. The last thing I remember is when Walt/Jesse were locked in the trunk of that dude's car.

I am looking forward to "Shameless" on Showtime. Godamn that Emmy Rossum is hot.

Was she in the video game version of that awful as shit Dragonball live action movie?

Made me sell the game because after mashing lost it's fun, training mode annoyed the shit out of me and bored me to tears at the same time.
A fighter's not fun until you learn how to play it ... imo.

Oooh, I like that show, even though it's from the mystical orient.

Though objectively speaking, Breaking Bad is muuuuccchhhh better.

Game related. I'm kinda excited for the Neo Geo shit on PS3... IF SNK doesn't fuck up the emulation. I'll totally buy shit off of there if it's at least as good as it is on emulators. Which has eluded them for years, despite that those morons get paid to work on that shit.

Ahem, but yes, I'd like Metal Slug to be emulated perfectly, and if it is I'll work on 1ccing it when it comes out ^_^

Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu is hella easy to clear on 1 credit BTW. I can do that shit consistently now without breaking a sweat.

I tried and tried and tried -- the lack of actual special moves pissed me off, I guess. The only one who really felt like he had anything was Wolf with the lariats and hammer throws and shit. I always wanted to like Kage and Jacky, but couldn't do it. The timing seemed to be wonky as shit and the training mode was either too easy and boring or made me rage like all get out because the timing was ridiculous.

This is the best virtua fighter game:

VF Kids is so lulz, Jacky does a backflip kick and his head stays in the same place, his legs flip. It looks so ridiculous.

Plus nobody has any range in it, stubby ass limbs and huge heads.

Might get twwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwisted tonight.

ME3 Team Deathmatch will be amazing.

Actual special moves? Like a SRK or Hadouken? I couldn't care less about moves like that. ^_^
I could not name a single character from the VF series.
I could not name a single character from Primal Rage.
I could not name a single character from Primal Rage.
When's the last time a Primal Rage game came out that people cared about, though? I could name shit about every other ongoing popular fighter still going, but VF is just...so bland. GUY IN A GI and OLD GUY WITH A BEARD and GIRL and GUY WITH BIG HAIR...all the same bland characters from every other fighter, but without any of the style or ba-zing that makes the others exciting.

I'm looking forward to BF:BC Vietnam.

I really need to start BLOPS, but still have one more chapter of Alan Wake, Fable III, and Enslaved to go. :p

I can name only one KoF character:

Blizzard is top tier and the only one I ever played as in that game.

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU!!

Of course it is. Just watching some animated nihonjins to clear my mind after basically marathoning Mad Men!

wishful thinking, SNK always finds a way to fuck up. Like leaving the game untranslated...

Primal Rage 1? The only Primal Rage game there is.

unless you count the leaked Primal Rage 2 rom. Anyone here tried that?

Primal Rage>>>>>Virtua Fighter.

Fact.

How? Primal Rage had its own action figure line. VF figs were part of a line of GamrPro figures.

Black Lagoon is all you really need to watch... now if they would just finish up the manga so we could get more.

The only VF-related thing I liked was Fighters Megamix. And that was for Bean.

EDIT: Holy fuck, I forgot all about that Geese video.

Apparently, it also had its own book. Which Atari put out instead of the sequel.
When Primal Rage 2 was cancelled, Atari allegedly felt it necessary to somehow present the story for the sequel in one form or another. Thus, in 1997, a novel called Primal Rage: The Avatars, written by John Vornholt, was published by Boulevard Books. The book's plot tells about what happened to the dinosaur gods 65 million years ago, and then moves into the main story of the gods' reign on Urth renewed, but then the beast Necrosan appears. The book focuses as well on fleshing out the world of Primal Rage, and does so by bringing "the Avatars" to the forefront of the story, they being the humans chosen by their respective gods to be their shamans or other titles of nobility.
A number of details to the backstory of Primal Rage are made clear in The Avatars. According to John Vornholt's novel the events in Primal Rage take place in the year 1000 AC (After Cataclysm) or about the year 3000 AD according to the Gregorian calendar. The battles of the dinosaurs are referred to as "The Primal Rage". In the novel, the spell used to imprison the dinosaur gods is called the Bonds of Forbidding. Necrosan the skeletal dragon (who is referred to as Necronus on the introductory page) reactivates the Bonds of Forbidding to entrap the gods.
Pretty awesome of them to do after that massive cliffhanger at the end of Primal Rage 1.

I'm not sure if you younger GGTers know, but as bad of a game as PR1 was, it has a pretty amazing story. One of the best in gaming, but you have to beat it with every character to really put it all together.

Gotta get my hands on that book. Still working on finishing up Worlds of Power: Mega Man 2 though.

Best part of Primal Rage was the sound system on the arcade cab. Shit's probably not that impressive now, but when you're young and you play on this cab that's cranked to full volume and literally shakes from the bass, it's pretty sweet.

All I know is that the console ports sucked ass and the one time I did see it in an arcade ... it was glorious.
Actual special moves? Like a SRK or Hadouken? I couldn't care less about moves like that. ^_^
Not necessarily.

Tekken has special moves -- I'm talking about charge moves, motion inputs, etc. Doesn't matter if it's some sort of actual SF-ish special or if it's just something like Jin's various non-lighting corkscrew uppercuts. Projectiles aren't necessary either.

I liken it to one of the reasons I hate smash bros. -- I can't stand "forward+x does 1" "down+x does 2" "back+x does 3" etc. :\

--

I do remember Primal Rage -- as a pre-teen, that was the shit -- it was just after MK hit and started paving the way of ultraviolence in video games -- Time Splitters was another one from around that time, lopping off limbs during the match and shit.
If I import a ME save into ME2 what actually transfers over? Anything useful?
Shit that'll probably be useful in ME3.

Rachni lives/dies, Wrex lives/dies, Ashley lives/dies, a few details pertaining to minor sidequests, opinions of squadmates of you, etc.

But it doesn't matter at all because none of those choices are referenced except one, and you can only have one ME character on your squad anyway.
Time Splitters was another one from around that time, lopping off limbs during the match and shit.
You mean Time Killers? Time Splitters was a FPS series with a fetish for monkeys.

And Time Killers was shit. After you lopped off a limb 2 seconds into a match, you were left with a boring, ugly, terrible fighting game.
