I'm looking for the cheapest price on the Thundercats boxed sets.

Preferably using some coupon for Best Buy, since I have some gift cards there. But paying $50-55 each for them is way too much for my taste. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Also, where can I get the individual 25th anniversary GI Joe figures at a decent price? I'd be willing to pay up to $10 each for them, but this $15-25 each for some of the more in demand figures is ridiculous.

I'd much rather just buy the entire wave 1 and wave 2 sets for a reasonable set price, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

if you check out hasbrotoyshop.com, MSRP is $6.99 now on the figures. i'm gonna go broke seeing all the ones they have planned. picked up a SHARC (sp?) at a Target today. It was the only vehicle they had, still gotta find an AWE Striker and a HISS

Found some new ones today: Spirit Iron-Knife, Wild Bill, a new Duke, and a new Snake Eyes. There was also a couple new Cobra soldiers; one was Cobra Viper and the other was HISS Driver.

Yeah that's the latest available wave I believe (wave 8?). Duke with the jetpack and US flag, classic from the opening of the movie.

oh cool, i was hoping the series with Spirit and Wild Bill would come out soon. now just for Major Bludd and i'll have all the ones i care to get.

Yeah be on the lookout for the B.A.T. too, but you know sometime that will be coming out in an army-builder set. Still, gotta love it. Too bad I still think these figures kinda suck...the sculpts are nicer than the 80's figures but the construction stinks, and I really am not diggin on the anime-style legs.....

I haven't seen any new figures in several weeks. All Targets, Wal-Marts and K-Marts around here have been completely OOS with the exception of some of the comic 2-packs.

Does anyone know of a cheap place to buy the Senior Ranking Officer sets online? My TRU never got them.

They'll be available at ToysRUs online eventually. Otherwise you're paying 3rd party vendors to get them because they are a Toys R Us exclusive item.

Finally found a H.I.S.S. today. Unfortunately, the driver wasn't in the package. The package was perfect so I don't see how someone could have stolen it. I have seen a handful of vehicles like this. :whistle2:?

I am going to give Hasbro a call and see if they will do anything. Otherwise, I have to hope to find another one someday...

I'm going to have to look at my vehicles now to make sure no one swiped the drivers!

Picked up the new Duke, Snake Eyes, Spirit, Cobra Viper and Cobra H.I.S.S. Driver this week. Was at TRU today, and they had all 3 of the Senior Ranking Officer packs. Another guy had his hand on the Red Cobra Commander pack, so I grabbed the G.I. Joe Pack while I could (already have the Blue Cobra Commander pack). Now I have to wait to try to find another Red Cobra Commander pack, and I'll have all the TRU SRO packs. I haven't seen any of the vehicles at Target, except for the Sharc I picked up a few weeks back. Also got another Storm Shadow (G.I. Joe version), but had to pay $7.99 for it, since I found it at KB Toys. Passed on Wild Bill, but I haven't seen any Major Bludd's. I'd pick him up if I see him. Seen a couple of Beacheads around, they must be restocking.

Yeah those are already listed on HasbroToyShop.com as "coming soon", too bad you can't preorder them.

I just put in a $90 order for a bunch of figures, including the MASS Device that comes with 4 figs and the Cobra's Revenge Device with 3 figs.

And yesterday I picked up the GIJoe Movie Duke (with flag and jet pack), 2 Snake Eyes #3's, 2 Vipers, and 1 HISS Driver. Unfortunately someone snagged the Spirit Iron Knife and Wild Bill, so I will have to order some more when those become available on HBTS.

I'm missing Major Bludd too, I don't know if I missed that wave completely, never saw any of those (Flash, Rock n Roll, Crimson Guard, Torpedo, etc.).

And Hasbro Toy Shop is just toying with us, listing Firefly and Flint as "out of stock", along with Major Bludd.

I'm just glad I have all the originals, but boy do I want all of these as well.

A couple of Targets were stocked with new ones today: Major Bludd, Flint (tan version), new Roadblock, new Snake Eyes, Baroness, Python Officer, Wild Bill, Spirit, etc.

Yeah something like that....what you can do is go over to YoJoe.com and see for yourself.

I have to re-iterate my previous statement....these figures are some cool upgrades over the originals, but the skinny bendy anime-like legs....and the overall construction...these things would suck to play with.

Frankly, now I'm patiently waiting for original EEL's :)

I could give my kid my old collection of loose 3" joes.....and they'd survive. These things look like they'd melt in the sun....I dunno....I'm enjoying the packaging and artwork :D
Its a shame they're too damned expensive and hard to find, technically...

For those of you who dont know there have been some cool releases the past 8 years too...I like the Internet BAT 6 pack that is still cheap, and has a cool BAT design from the end of the series...kinda look like an Iron Man-ish figure...

resurrecting an old thread cuz I'm still interested in G.I. Joe and want to see what other people are up to. I got the Target exclusive set for Christmas, then used the receipt to save $20 now that it's on clearance for $38. I made a resolution to stop buying G.I. Joe to save $. I really want the Copperhead vehicle set and the Lift Ticket vehicle set though. I did buy a Snake Eyes Mighty Muggs with my Soul Bubbles Gift card. Where are you guys currently in your G.I. Joe purchases?

I've kinda given up...I got the 3 pack of Destro and 2 Iron Grenadiers from TOYS R US but passed on the FIREBAT set. I *had* a RATTLER ordered from Target but they kept delaying the order that I dont even know if they are ever gonna fulfill it.

Simply put, these things are just *too expensive* for what you get. Nostalgia is nice but at $8 bucks a figure on average, its almost laughable...you're paying for sub-standard figures with weird WW2 era weapons. Kinda disappointing, really. The only one I splurged on were a couple of the re-issue BATS....cuz they are just cool. :)

still looking for a 25th anivarsary BAT. There are very few figs I would pick up at the price they are.

I do hope to find the new zartan with his sled. That guy looks awesome.

I managed to find that twin pack with the first edition of storm shadow & snake eyes at a Target over the holidays. Might try to sell it on Amazon once the movie comes out.

If I remember later I'll post pictures of my current collection, that started in November...

Man these things add up in price.

I was going to get pics of the entire collection, but then I noticed how much cleaning I would have to do, and how many figures I would have had to stand up/rearrange.. so I said screw it and found the stuff already set up.
I have 3 file boxes filled with them. That's about 40 figures a box. I said I was only going to buy Snake Eyes...
I started by going "Oh, I'll just buy a Cobra Commander." Now I have over 50 figures.

The only one I'm looking for right now is the Matt Tracker M.A.S.K figure in Joe packaging that is impossibleeeeeeeee to find. Anyone find one please let me know what store. I've tried them all.

I've heard of this figure and seen it online... I've NEVER seen it in stores though.

Thanks for the heads up. I picked one up last week for 30% off but 75% would be nice. I can always use another HISS or MOBAT. Sadly my local Targets are sold out.
Bumping this thread to tell you if you wanted the Target Ultimate Battlepack, shown here: http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/08/ubp/ubp_box.shtml#front, you better get to Target ASAP.

It has hit the 75% clearance level. I picked one up yesterday for $15.74.

This battlepack is the only place to get the 25th Short Fuze and the mototrized Joe tank.
Wanna throw this out there... if anyone here buys a UBP on clearance and doesn't want the Cobra stuff (Namely the tank/driver/gunner) let me know. Mainly the figures, but the red HISS wouldn't be bad either =P I'm looking for more if someone doesn't want to screw me over by expecting more than the price of the UBP itself.

(Bastards on the GI Joe forums keep trying to charge me more than they are paying for the UBP... bastard hoarders.)

WOOT! Kmart had the Sting Raider in stock, 15.99 and 10% off!

To make the deal sweeter it WASN'T IN THE SYSTEM! So the cashier just goes "Well, it's $12 now." even though it had a $15.99 sticker on it. fuck yes :D Now my Cobra collection is more or less up to date.

I'm anxious to check my local Target but I've been bed-ridden since Wednesday thanks to oral surgery. By now I'm sure they're all sold out. :(

but yeah.. if anyone would be willing to go pick up a clearance battle set for someone in need (mostly referring to me :)) let me know. perhaps I could buy it off of one of you good folks via paypal or through ebay. I know I'm the new guy so if you're weary on my feedback rating or anything let me know and I'll present proof that I'm trustworthy enough to deal with! :)

I can't help you with the driver, but would you want the HISS for the price of shipping?

Just bought MASS Device set 3 of 5, which is the "Rise of Serpentor" set, along with Airborne and Dreadnok Ripper, I think it was. Usually picking stuff up as I find it at Target, WalMart, Toys R Us.

I've been buying them off and on, but I'm just scratching my head over why they brought in a MASK figure as a crossover, with "Specialist Trakker". Very odd. And who's this Wraith character?

Anyway, I don't think I'm missing any of the older figs at this point, though I would like a Snake Eyes + black (or all grey) Timber...mine is the normal white with some grey I believe.

I hope you didn't waste your time with this one. Just like with the Crocmaster's crocodile, the sled has been severely shrunken. I can't even imagine how Zartan could ride that thing...it's barely as long as his torso, one piece, and looks so damn cheap.

Oh fuck me. Are you kidding me? I passed up on a buttload of these right before Christmas at the super huge Target at Irvine Spectrum. God damn it. So here's another one that's going to be impossible for me to find...

I had a couple of the Cobra Rattlers on order since last year from Target, but Target just cancelled my order. I have a feeling this Line may not continue...I never see more than a tiny handfull of these figures on store shelves no matter where I go, and at $8 bucks a pop at alot of places, they just aren't a value anymore.

Yeah, I agree. I've passed up on a ton of stuff. Though I know I'll regret it. And the worst part is, the damn hoarders/resellers are still buying up everything.

I wish I had known the UBP was clearanced, I saw it when it was only a small percentage off, $55 instead of $65, and the store had DOZENS of them. Now I'm sure they are all gone.

Don't feel too bad, because if you open the figures up, they kind of suck. I mean, when I was a kid the hard plastic was perfect, the figures held poses, etc. They posed enough and allowed lots of detail on the molds.

But these new figures are so rubbery and they have so many joints that they all sort of look "Anime-ish" to me, the silly long legs and small torsos....so while I enjoy what they've done, I also hate what they've done. $8 bucks for card-art is also highway robbery, these things started out at $1.49 each, when they were $3.99 each in the early 1990's I was bitching then too :)

At $7 or 8 bucks I left most of them on the shelf...and since availability has been shitty at BEST its really ruined the line for me.......vehicle reissues are ok, but not when the ones that people really want (Rattler, etc) are the ones that are impossible to find.

You never know.

I was at a Target on Saturday picking up food, and they still had an endcap with almost a dozen UBPs, clearly marked at $15.74 AND the top of the endcap showed that price.

Damn, just got back from 2 other Targets and no deal on either the UBP or the 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime.

Typical for LA, we never get any of the clearance prices that are reported at Target or any other store for that matter. Either it's due to the WAY too much competition from other collectors/hoarders/resellers, because SoCal is just FULL of collectors and there's no way we get anywhere near enough product to meet demand so what little there is gets snapped up to quickly, or the stores here ship them to other locales or simply donate them instead of clearing them out.

I also stopped at 2 Toys R Uses, they had older waves (Tiger Force Duke and Flint, Croc Master, Mutt and Junkyard). I found another Snake Eyes Commando version (original version), and at one of the Targets, I got a bunch of the new 2 packs, a Rattler, and the light blue Cobra Ninja that someone tried to hide.

Los Angeles is full of scalpers... go down to Frank and Sons, I guarantee you'll find whatever you were looking for at drastically marked up prices. This doesn't even take into account all the ebayers and comic shops that go hunting for this stuff...

My 8 yr old son wants gi joes , can anyone give me advice or opinion on ones to pick up? I want it to be a cool, fun figure that he can play with and not break. Possible a vehichle as well. We have a bunch of old figures - which actually might be knockoffs cause I don't see any Hasbro marking on them, we do have old Hasbro vehicles though. My husband is taking him today to the store. Thank you, Mickey

So the 25th anniversary and Resolute have re-upp'd my interest in Hasbro Joe. Hasbro Toy Shop is offerring 10% off Joe toys with code GIJOE10. Barely takes off some shipping, but it's the cheapest I can find for Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes Hall of Fame figures which I overlooked in store and now can't find B&M.

Glad you're getting into them again, but these figures aren't really all that great....you're paying $10 for packaging art.

At $1.97 or $3.25 these were fun...at $7.99 or $9.99 its like......not exactly a bargain.
