I need it primarily for the Alpha Anthology as there's a tournament going on in this area soon and I want to be at my best. Problem is, I'm freakin terrible with the PS2 pad (the split pad makes it really difficult for me to even pull off hadoukens) and not too experienced with sticks. I primarily use my Saturn pad for my fighters (on the Saturn and PC). I know there was a Saturn pad made in Japan for the PS2, but I cant find it anywhere for under $60. And I heard that the SF2 pads were wonky (correct me if I'm wrong), so you can cross those off the list. I just want something similar to Saturn.

I say pick up a SF2 pad. They can be found pretty cheap at this point. I've heard mixed results from people but I really like them. This is coming from someone who almost didn't want to play any Street Fighter game ever again without a 6 button genesis pad (which the saturn pad is based on). Some people complain about them but I think as with most things its a matter of preference. I don't have any trouble pulling off moves with these.

wonky? -- i dont know what that means lol but im using SF2 controllers because I cant find Saturn PS2 controllers cheap, they are good and decent. I would say they are 2nd best to Saturn pads, not including fighting sticks.

I might just get the SF controller then if I can't find a Saturn one anywhere. Thanks guys. Now...anyone know where I can get one cheap? New or used (as long as it works).

Also, I just found out they're releasing a wireless version around christmas after a little searching. But $50 seems steep.

EB/GS have the SF controllers VERY cheap used. I think they are $4.99 if I'm not mistaken. New they dropped in price also but maybe a little harder to find.

Sorry for the bump, but there was some discussion on these pads (Saturn pads for PS2/USB) not being able to be found for less than $50. Does anyone know if they're even findable for that price? I want these BADLY.

Really? Interesting... there is a GameStop by my house that has like 6 of them, new in the box.

OP, if you have trouble finding some, perhaps I can pick you up one or two.

I might be getting a couple for myself. :D

Play-asia had the Darkstalkers ones for $20 and the others for $30. Are they all sold out?

anyway, I plan on selling my Darkstalkers one soon.

I probably won't have money for another week or two, so hopefully they are still there. :D

PS2 SF Pad is pretty good, especially since you can find it for ~$10 these days. It's the Xbox one that sucks.

Only problem with the PS2 pad is that the D-pad is only like...7/10, but you'll get used to it.

I'm confused.

Good luck with finding a controller that will work out for you.

Since my friend got his, I have been thinking about going back to that import shop to pick one up for myself. A little pricey ($35+) but they had both versions of the controller mentioned.

I've gotta find an SF2 pad and fast. Playing Street Fighter Alpha on PS2 with the regular controller or Logitech controller is just painful. THe Gamecrazy by me has them, but they're beat up there.

If possible, I will buy a ps2 saturn pad from anyone or if anyone can find one because the only that I have seen is a $100 one on ebay and I'am not willing to pay that much.

ASCii also made a six-button pad somewhat like the Saturn pad for the PS2, which is substantially cheaper than the Saturn ones. Officially licensed and it had a marketing tie-in during the original releases of CvS2 for the PS2 in Japan. Original price was around 2000 yen. It was clearanced out of most places so it should still be cheaper than the Saturn ones.
