Holy crap, I just checked my account and I finally have credit for the first time. Now I wish I had been keeping up on it more. I gave up after nothing ever showed.

 
After waiting forever, my $14 worth of rewards finally showed up around 7 hours ago. Then it only took ~4-5 hours and I already have the GMG credit. Pretty cool.

 
Just got $4.47 credited to my GMG account. Awesome. But wait, something seems off here...

Seems like whatever changes they made worked.  I just got my credits after 2 weeks of waiting although I haven't been having as rough a time as some in this thread.  Currently around $60.00 in credit, now they just need to put some stuff I want on a deep sale so I can use the credits.

When the XCOM: EU rewards were running, I already had most of the achievements in question and they added to my rewards. I never opened the game in SAM.

But can we really trust anything that Playfire ever does to happen again? I don't think so.

On the other hand. I had one of the COJ:Gunslinger achievements already and didn't get rewarded for it by Playfire.

Hmmm, I tend to just get the play for the first time rewards.  I don't mind using SAM for idling cards or starting a game for the first time, but for some reason I still feel I should earn the acheevos.  I only ever unlocked one, but it was for Go Home Dinos and I completed it, but the game glitched and didn't give it to me.  Do people use SAM for that?  Is it any riskier than just running games?  

 
I also use SAM for card idling and "run for the first time" rewards, but not to actually unlock achievements. Playfire has made it pretty clear they don't want you doing that.

Any user caught exploiting the Playfire Rewards BETA or using tools to falsify their Steam activity for personal gain will be banned from Playfire and reported to Valve. Achievements will not be rewarded if they're earned outside the reward period. For more details please visit our Knowledge Base

I haven't used SAM to add achievements. With the timestamps on achievements some cheating would be fairly easy to spot. Too many unlocked simultaneously/out of order/some not simultaneously that normally would be simultaneous/achievements being removed and then unlocked again/achievements that would take a long time to get and total playtime is nowhere near long enough. All these things wouldn't be hard to program a check for.

ok, ran both yet another crappy zombie game and rrddd. we'll see if I get credit for them, not really counting on it.

 
So I put in a support ticket 4 days ago, following their exact guide to what to do and what info/screenshot to send them if your rewards haven't transferred to your GMG balance, and how do they reply? With the copy-pasted "We recently solved a critical bug" spiel, telling me the credit "should be" transferred now, even though they didn't even look and my balance is still at zero.

Really getting sick of your shit, Playfire.

I tried it about an hour ago at it was 5%, I just tried it again like 10 minutes ago and it was 15%, so it is either time based or user based (ie, 500 uses, then onto the next %).

Edit: It is now at 20% off, it changed over exactly at the hour, so I imagine it is changing hourly.
