Apparently Sega is supposed to announce something today in regards to Renegade Ops. In other words, expect another delay.

Got my Renegaede Ops key today. Steam still says 6 hours to go, going to try redeeming now. Okay it redeemed but isn't downloading cause the game hasn't been released. I guess this doesn't necessarily mean it's releasing today but it sure is a good sign.
 
Yep we've sent out our keys for the game! You can redeem them but can't preload yet. Everyone who bought it from GMG though will assuredly be ready for release! :D

You may also notice that Sword of the Stars 2 is available!

I am going to remain cynical of Sega until I can actually download it. Since the 11th hour delay of Alpha Protocol for almost a year, they have lost all goodwill with me.

Regardless, good on GMG getting keys out early so if/when the game actually arrives everyone can download it immediately.
 
wonder if the 10% will work on Bastion which is already on sale, been wanting to pick it up and it's also a notable Steamworks game

Was seconds from buying Bastion when I saw the Customer Notes. Whelp, sounds like I will be waiting for the winter sale to pick it up on steam.
 
Yeah me too, it disappeared from my library and then I went to the other room, came back and it was there again saying Not Installed. So I said to install and it's downloading! I really hope it's better than the console version in some way cause I could have bought it for PS3 over a month ago.
 
Is Renegade Ops working for anyone? It fails to launch for me. First it had to repair a Microsoft C++ installation and after that it just says AVA_Main has stopped working. Lots of people having the same problem on the Steam forums.

Works for me, lots of others complaining about issues though. For the redist stuff, just click cancel on that window when it pops up as it means you already have the correct redist installed.
 
I understand the need to be patient, and wait, but after over 2 days, my customer service request still reads that it hasn't even been looked at or assigned to a representative yet.

Good prices, or no, at this point I'm just ready to take my money elsewhere on this one.
 
There's a guy on the steam forums that came up with a fix for the AVA_Main error. I tried it and the game's working fine now. It also came with that Gordon bonus character which GreenMan said their customers would not be getting. Game is cool.

@Killbomb We're hoping to get THQ titles up in the near future (I wouldn't quote me but I hope it'll be within a month or so) - we've got a Big Publisher thread in the content section of our forums where you can see updates on acquisitions as well as requests from other users for content :)

@Maskim Our CS team do try to provide the best response times possible, but it can be tricky, as we're quite a small team overall. If it's regarding the LOTR post I saw earlier, there can occasionally be a delay in how the system is updated, but I'm watching things like a hawk to make sure it's all good :lol:

How lame, GMG had Fear 3 for 50% a couple weeks ago and could be combined with the "EATINBRAINS" 15% code as well making it around $21-22.xx.

[/QUOTE] At least your response gives the impression you care, James. After 4 days, I got a response from "Leeroy". Aside from the salutation and good bye, I received one sentence. We changed the price.

Usually when a business advertises a price, they'll honor it. Even if GMG chooses not to honor the price they advertised on their front page when I attempted to purchase the game, I expected more of a response than the price has changed.

Updated OP to remove code and added War in the North as a Steamworks pre-order. Any other Steamworks pre-orders that I missed?
 
Hey guys - the voucher code ran til 31st October, although not for the full 24 hours, which may have affected people in different regions (notably the Americas!).
Whenever we set a voucher to expire though it'll affect different people in differing timezones, but when we do another one I'll try to make sure it goes until midnight GMT on that date to allow everyone a bit more time :)

@maskim We all care! Unfortunately price changes will happen though, as we're only able to offer good deals for short periods of time. Otherwise we'd just be a boring store with the same prices as everywhere else, though I do understand that's frustrating if when you try to buy it gets halted. Everyone, be glad that you didn't get the BF3: LE... I just had the worst customer service experience ever. The guy I was assigned took an average of about 6 minutes to respond to every one of my messages, and in the end didn't help me out at all... The customer service is laughable at best, great game, but a really crappy company.

Also, the browser-based server/community browser is frustrating and ugly. Why couldn't they just let us start the game up? Why when I click on the game do I have to be directed to my internet browser?

Crappy, crappy way to handle a fantastic game... I'd definitely wait it out for another 2 months for the kinks to be worked out. Hopefully by then the browser integration will be done away with...

So far I've have problems with being disconnected every 5 minutes from a server that I join, found out it was a conflict between the game and Network Discovery. Now I can't join a game at all because I Alt+F4 to get out of the game once... A big headache to say the least.

Sorry for the off-topic flame, was hoping to give a forewarning to future buyers of the game.

Yep the voucher will end at noon GMT Friday - and works on most products, the only ones it won't work on are FM2012, Batman, and (if applicable) Battlefield 3. The reason for this is that current discounts prohibit us from offering any lower prices!

I understand prices are bound to change. What I don't understand is how the lower price is advertised on the front page for nearly 24 hours after the price was raised.

Further, what's more frustrating is that it took 4 days to get any sort of response, and its been 5 days since with no response from "Leeroy".

At this point the game has already been released, and I've already purchased it elsewhere. I don't expect or want GMG to give me the game at the price they advertised, anymore. I would just hope that in the future that if the site claims a product is a certain price, that they would honor said price, and that customer service (especially if they take so long to respond) could put more effort in than basically just saying too bad.
 
Anyone know if GMG will send out Steam Keys early for Sonic Generations? I have it ordered from GMG and well my connection is shitty so I want to download ASAP.

I know it's not that important, and in the grand scheme of things doesn't make much of a difference. But it just blows my mind that GMG would send out keys to people buying the game today, but not people who preordered a couple weeks ago. They're basically telling us to wait to spend our money next time.

Yeah that is not right. I mean I wouldn't be so annoyed except for the fact that my connection sucks. If I had my key right now, I might be good to play when it unlocks. If I get my key tomorrow morning, I would expect maybe Friday in the afternoon at the earliest, and that's a maybe. I preordered back on October 25th. Yes it's only a few hours, but I need to basically play the shit out of this game before Skyrim, lol.
