I heard that Johnny beat up Motoki so badly that he had to start a microbrewery with him, and now they're both making Hillary Clinton-themed beers in Washington state.

Their brand is called Grandma's Grog, and the current brews are: I'm with Hops, Misspoke on that IPA, Bill's Rubbernecking Stout, and Cough (I can't think of another lie). Don't worry, their label may claim 90-95% ABV, but it's really less than 1%.

Yeah I usually spend the $1 coins on build a bundles, which I'm ok with. But when the main appealing thing in the bundle for me is the coin, and there's a fucking mystery game + russian only game.. there's a problem. I bet the person who curated the russian game will never admit to it, has to be one of the worst game choices in bundle history, all it's good for is the cards.

At least all of those shitty shovelware games in IG bundles are playable, and in english lol. Not like I'd play them.. but I have the option! Learning russian to play a game.. not much of an option.

I have a feeling Groupees saw that chinese only VN that was bundled with IG so they thought it was ok to bundle a russian game. Problem with that is.. that chinese VN already had a translation being written before the bundle went live, and the translation was published a week or two afterward.

Well, Indie Gala DID put God's One Day World into it's bundle while the game was in Chinese.
But at least with that one, the dev promised (and did) release an English translation.

That's.. exactly what I just said lol.

I was saying that IG clearly had higher standards if they knew the translation was being done (which they likely did because the dev had made an announcement about it). Planet Alcatraz 2 is a different story, and I doubt an official translation will be done.

Maybe Groupees assumed it was okay to put in a foreign language game after IG included that Chinese-only game before it was even patched for English? Did you guys ever think about that? I mean, seriously, it's like I'm the only one who realizes when things have been done before, gall. ;)

 
The funniest thing about this bundle to me wasn't the russian game, or the mystery game, or any of the other games included.. it was cyanic and Jonny's reply to the fuckup where some preorders only got the $1 tier in the first couple of hours when the bundle launched. I'm too lazy to look up the chat but this is basically their response what happened:

cyanic: "That's weird"

Jonny: "What's weird, cyanic?"

Jonny: "Oh, and you get the bonuses with your $1 tier too!"

no joke, there were no signs of their intent to fix the issue (until it was actually fixed, that is), and jonny shrugged it off like there was no issue at all. The issue did get fixed and it didn't take long, but these buffoons make the IR twitter rep look good.

The correct way to acknowledge there was a problem and your willingness to fix it would have been to say something simple like "Sorry, we'll fix that asap, that wasn't supposed to happen". Morans

I think they may have leaked the mystery game or possible future bonus in the newsletter:

I bet they didn't even know Planet Alcatraz 2 was Russian only.  Probably either just heard PA2 was a thing and approached the dev/pub or the dev/pub approached and said "u want PA2 for bundal?!"

I also wouldn't be surprised if Last Door 2 was supposed to be in it, but the pub pulled out before launch and that's why there's a mystery game.

We all know they can't check every game or every email.

Well, I will feel less bad about my $2 if they reveal Last Door 2 and we get the MC Lars bonus game. I find Lars to be entertaining in small doses.

Yeah, I might actually play the MC Lars game. If Last Door 2 is the mystery game it barely makes it worth the $2 preorder price for me. I don't know why they didn't make Planet Alcatraz 2 the bonus, it would have been far less disappointing that way.

 
I mean, it's kinda all charity, since each dollar is a meal (don't know how much actually goes towards that meal) and I'm sure groupees didn't come up with the tiers.

But still, it is pretty poopee.

 
Even Humble's 100% charity bundles are kinda bad from a $ to what you get perspective. Considering how terrible Groupees is by comparison in every other aspect, there is no surprise here.

You know its bad when jonny wouldn't allow cyanic to give more hints when only 1 game was confirmed. Those hints were fucking vague too. "acid dripping" was one of the hints and you can barely see it in The Shadowland's trailer. No one would've figured that out

I might be done with groupees unless they come out with bundles worth using coins on.. even their Be Mines are bad now.

I will probably buy Holiday Helpings 3. Can't see buying anything else unless we get some really convincing guesses/confirmations on games I actually want. This bundle was just a giant kick in the nuts even at $2. Feel like I got half an IG bundle at twice the price.
