Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - 8/21 Dragonforce Track Pack

RATM master tracks makes me switch to rockband to GH3 What a back and forth I got going on.
Where's my bullet in the head though? I'd love to play that on rock band so I could scream in da mike "you got a bullet in your fucking head."

Yeah. Bullet in ya head seems like a good band song. Not so good if you have to play the guitar ( until later in the song )

he said for rock band not gh3. Soundgarden would be badass though for sure. that video for black hole sun always made me uneasy when their smiles went all crazy.

AND BULLS ON PARADE> fuck YES!!!!!!!!!!!! The one song i wanted in this game from rage. man so happy.

I just noticed on EBGames.com that when GHIII is released they'll be releasing GHII new game-only for $59.99.

I believe a used copy is currently $39.99 for GHII, anyone think the price will go up to $54.99 when GHII is available new.

I'm wondering if I should grab a copy of GHII now for $40.

Aerosmith master track in the game.

Additionally, Activision's highly anticipated sequel, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will feature master tracks from some of rock's most legendary bands like the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica, as well as original songs by such guitarist icons as Slash and Tom Morello. The sequel also will offer a vast array of downloadable content including songs from some of the most popular European bands.

That's the only really exciting thing I've seen announced for this game this side of the Dragonforce song. I wonder if Lacuna Coil is included in the game or one of those downloadable euro bands.
Give me unlockable song

RATM

Know your Enemy

I will blow my load.

there best guitar song...period
They're not gonna include 2 songs by the same artist and have on be an unloackable. The RATM in the game is Bulls on Parade.
any confirmation if wireless controller will be able to use the wireless battery packs?
I think it would have to if it is using the MS system.

Wasn't there supposed to be a demo for GH3 in the tony hawk's proving ground demo? I can't remember where I heard it.

in the actual game...

doubt their would be a demo in a demo

I figured that's what would happen but confirmation would be nice.

Well, I couldn't decide if I wanted GHIII or Rock Band more, both are going to be amazing (IMO.)

So I've done the sensible thing in getting both, hopefully some huge deal will bust out for Rock Band, I just preordered GHIII at EB because of their 20% extra deal that stacks with the 40% I got for trading in games.
At this point GHIII has the better soundtrack, once I get a craving to play drums though I'll get rock band.
I feel the exact opposite. There's some good stuff here, but Rock Band blows it away in my mind. Although, it's hard to gauge because GHIII has about a dozen more songs, but there is a lot of filler in there, whereas every track in RB looks amazing.

*edit *

ROTFL - I just went through both track listings and counted how many tracks I'm stoked about for each. Wouldn't you know it? They came out to the same damn number. 19 in each.

I have to say I'm more excited about GHIII right this moment. I agree with the sentiment that the song list is about equal, but the fact of the matter is, I paid $30 for GHIII (disk only from the TRU Madden Deal) and I'm going to pay $200 for Rock Band. Ouch.

Someone posted a thread over at scorehero with screenshots from xbox.com of someone playing unannounced songs on xbox live. It got deleted somewhat quickly, so I'm guessing it wasn't fake, and they didn't want them announced yet.

There was 4 songs

Holiday In Cambodia
The Seeker
A Sonic Youth song
A Sex Pistols song

I've wanted Holiday in Cambodia for a long fucking time now. These better be real or else I'll be fucking pissed

I can't guarantee it's real. But since they deleted the thread, I would guess that it is. I don't see why they would delete a thread with fake info.

Sully in a GH3 wishlist thread:
Man, I'd love to see Sonic Youth - Kool Thing, The Who - The Seeker, Sex Pistols - Anarchy In The U.K., and Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia!
Yeah. He's a funny one.

Kool Thing? Hmm, I was hoping for 100% or Bull in the Heather, but as far as their "hits" are concerned, I sure can't complain.

Sonic Youth at their worst is vastly superior to MCR, IMO.

If Jello has his way, than it isn't. He denies giving permission for Police Truck to be in THPS1. That's another song i'd like to see in once of the guitar games.

It doesn't matter if Jello gives permission or not, as long as the rest of the band agrees to license it. He doesn't hold exclusive rights to their songs anymore after losing a lawsuit with the rest of the band over royalties and publishing rights.

someone make them put in nofx
or rancid. rancid would work too.

oh shit hell ya. NOFX the decline should be the final encore.. 20 minutes of the greatness. fuck yeah
So no Megadeth?

edit: I could be wrong, but I don't think this list is 100% accurate/complete.
I think I made that clear:
This list was posted on GameFAQs

People get excited way too easily.
NOFX is terrible.
Which is a really important thing to point out, since it has nothing to do with Guitar Hero.

If that GF list pans out to be true, then

If not, as long as Social D ends up on there (though the bass player in co-op might find themselves napping when they see just how boring their bass lines are).

Does anyone know how the demo for GHIII is going to work with Prooving Grounds? will it be on the disk or something (ie can I rent prooving grounds and get the demo?)
