Help with installing Half-Life 1 Anthology

Thanks for the help.

I am trying to install it but when I attempt to a message pops up that says "Half-Life must be installed into an existing steam folder". I have no clue what this means.

I literally know nothing about computers so can anyone help me out with what I am supposed to do here?

Download STEAM - http://store.steampowered.com/

It's free and is a lobby program that works with Valve games.

Use the key code that came with your game to register them. DL the game from STEAM.

Take those CDs and make coasters for your friend's drinks.

And if you ever have a friend who needs the anthology on heir Steam account you can give them the Opposing Force CD-Key so don't trash that either. Counter-Strike key won't work. The one I got with the original Anthology pack worked but the Steam site says you can't register this so maybe they don't work anymore? Anyway it's worth a shot.

Uhh it's either that or the CS key, now I forget but I know one of the other works or worked because my friend used one.

Now I wish I had kept my discs, I had the set that came with HL 1, Team Fortress, Opposing Force and Blue Shift.
