How do you guys deal with the smaller HD and DLC?

So I have a Pro with a 20g HD and its about to fill up with all the different expansions and demos. Buying a larger HD for the 360 just seems like such a waist to me for some reason. Do you just delete it when your done playing or move it somewhere? If I do delete it will I retain all my game info as far as achievements and such?

I delete the demos when I'm done and I don't buy DLC to be honest. I've got just under 80 XBLA games and still have just under 5 gigs left

Yeah the Demos get trashed as soon as I try them out. But its the stuff I spent money on that I am worried about deleting.

you can delete them and then re-download them when needed through your history. I wouldn't do it myself but it is an option

Exactly!! :) its scary that there is no way for us to backup the stuff we bought and have to trust MS that they wont "forget" that we already bought that item. I just like to physically have something when I buy it. Even if it lives on a memory card that I own and not an actual Disc

I have a 120gb hd and I am nowhere close to filling it. I think I have only used 30gb of it.

All I keep on there is DLC (Rock Band Tracks/Expanision Packs/Map Packs) and Xbox Live Games (about 20-30).

Demos... when I am done, I delete them.

Did you buy the larger HD or is it the one that came with your unit?

I personally had to buy a larger one because of Rock Band. I ran out of room on my 20GB.
I bought one off ebay and then transfered all the data. I usually delete demos after I am done with them or I download most of my demos on PS3 because I have a 250GB HD on it and plenty of room.

You just have to manage your data. Like mentioned, delete demos when you're done. Also dump map packs and expansions to games you never play anymore. i.e. I think the original Rainbow 6 Vegas maps were 1.5GB. If needed you can always re-download them. Did you buy ODST? Dump the Halo 3 maps, as another example. You just have to stay on top of it.

I upgraded, but held out for a long while before doing so. I upgraded when they added the install feature. Totally worth it not to hear the disc drive spinning.

I have a 20GB on mine right now, but I am down to 876MBs of space left. Its all games too, with none on the HDD. I just don't keep demos or themes or anything else I won't use on the HDD. The only thing I keep on the HDD is the games themselves and map packs, content etc.

I went up from my original 20gb to 120gb since I was running out of space at that time. I grabbed it during Target Clearance for around $60 dollars.

They can remove/disable stuff if they want to do that, as the Japanese RE5 demo was disabled from even starting up a week or so after it came out for foreigners after I had downloaded it and played it a few times already, so they have a long arm to take what they don't want you to have. I doubt that happens often, but it's something you should keep in mind.
