Humble Bundle Thread

It's probably not done yet, but a $25 tier would be a pretty good spot for the PC debut of the remake.
That thought crossed my mind, but the $25-min charity bundles have generally been pretty poor value (and lotsa repeats).

And the PC version isn't out yet. Why cheapen it in a bundle pre-launch?

Further weird... It's based on Unity Engine*, launched almost 6 months ago on PS4 and still no announced dates for the other announced platforms (Win/Mac/Lin/XBO/WiiU/PS3/Vita)...

*an amazingly cross-platform engine, according to Just Add Water, it should make platform-porting take only 2-4 weeks.

It might not be directly comparable, but both Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath received a 50% discount on their release day, the first day of the 2010 Steam holiday sale. A slight discount as part of a Bundle would put the price of New 'n' Tasty in line with a recent sale on PSN, as sort of a late holiday sale.

All that being said, I don't actually expect to see this as part of the bundle. It's just fun to speculate. :)

Sure, but to play Advocatus Diaboli they were re-releases of 9 & 6 year old games at that time... and before the later (poorly recieved) Stranger's Wrath HD update (though I think it was announced).

Probably got some Kickbacks from Sony. If so it's probably buried in a torrent somewhere along with catty emails about Angelina Jolie and scripts about Kim Jong Un.

That thought crossed my mind... I'm just a little more used to announced exclusivity, e.g. GTA: SA (6-month PS2 exclusive), or simply noticing well after the fact.

Great now that there's something I want it in, it's going to be

Picked up the Oddbox on Steam years ago for like... can't remember... something crazy cheap like $4 for all of the games? The other PC games on that schedule seem pretty 'meh.' Not nearly enough to coax a full bundle purchase.
I did the same. For a minute there, I thought you were me. If Oddworld is the standout in the bundle, it's already failed me.

Shantae would be nice.. if that tier wasn't $6. I'm missing Volgarr, Shantae, and the Speedrunners youtube packs.

A friend of mine just bought Shantae on the last day of the Steam sale. Guess I'll give him my Duke and Shadow Warrior to make him feel better.

That said, what's up with that Xsplit thing, has anyone used it? I thought the program was a one-time purchase thing, not a subscription based program.

So the Twitch turbo claims that it's for "new subscribers only."  Until someone tests it and finds otherwise, it's probably best to pretend it's not there if you've ever had turbo before.

That is a pretty sad looking crowd... I assume they are the other speed runners.  I'm surprised they didn't dress a little better/more interesting.  The camera is also... ick... visual foregound  clutter, with the two TVs in the foreground (even with a post-it on top).

I love how you're all What Not To Wear about it though. Please carry on. :)

I payed $10 for Shantae when it came out and didn't regret it one bit....but then again I speedrun it. it's easily one of the best "metroidvania" experiences on PC.
Which would have been fine for me if I bought it day one and I did consider it, but at this point I might as well wait for a 75% off sale for it to go $2.50.

I already have the bottom tier and Speedrunners (which kind of sucks; but admittedly I don't play multiplayer so that may be why) so $6 Shantae doesn't really cut it for me. If they had put something else halfway decent in that tier I would have went for it, but eh.

Hit the "hide" button on the bottom right side of your post to get rid of those duplicate posts.

I in tun, will delete this post and nobody will ever be the wiser. Unless of course, somebody pays me to write a tell all book. In which case, I'll spill all the beans.

I'll quote your post so people can read it forever

I think SpeedRunners goes F2P once it leaves EA.  Buying it early is only P2B (pay 2 Beta) and get some character skins or something.

Looked it up.  Eventually it will be F2P local multiplayer, pay for online.  Bigger difference than I remembered, but still a pass.

Surprised Shantae is already in a bundle. Would definitely be in for the six dollar tier if something else I even was moderately interested in was there. As is I dont mind throwing a buck for Volgarr/Oddworld.

Yeah it's a huge difference. Speedrunners is worth it, but not in this tier. Very fun game to play with friends.

The $1 tier is worth it, but I already have speedrunners from another Humble so I won't get the 2nd tier. Still, pricing is pretty good if you don't have anything.

Edit: Speedrunners is going F2P? Well I guess its a pass then.

The most important feature in Speedrunners is online MP, and you lose that with the F2P version. If you only play local MP you should go ahead and skip it anyway, since that'll be in the F2P version.
