fuck ing monthly recurring payment
Yep. Definitely this.
Completely forgot about it until I saw the charge clear this morning.
Thankfully I kinda sorta like Strategy games, and based on that this current set of games isn't super awful, unlike last month, which was like half repeats of far cheaper Fanatical bundles.

At least I'll get Basingstoke without having to give Puppygames any significant amount of money.
Whether they made good points or not, they soured me on them with the rant and then post-rant that tried to fix stuff but really didn't fix anything.

WOW, just... wow. That's simultaneously the dumbest and saddest reaction I've seen in a long time. I mean, it's not like a huge swath of "G@m3rz" out there aren't the most pathetically entitled, keyboard warrior, chode choking tools the world has ever seen, but, come on, man. They just made the situation worse and themselves look like idiots, while giving the trolls more ammo. I think it goes without saying that all devs are gamers, so the turds will float to the surface when poked.

any leaks on the next Hamble Choice? i like to be disappointed in advance
My life philosophy is if you're always (prepared to be) disappointed, the few times when you're not are so, so incredibly sweet.

Yeah the Puppygames guy has been a **** forever.  It's amazing he thinks his remakes of Atari 2600 games are worth $25-30.

Anything but that!

This is the first time in a very long time that I didn't own a single game in the $1 tier. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Either way a lot of value for $1 regardless of the quality of games.

Another day, another bundle to pass on. Is DayZ still popular enough to be in that super high tier?
$30 for Day-Z and the Arma III DLC is a really good deal. That's the newest DLC. Cheapest Day-Z has ever been is like $22 I think. I tried it during a free weekend recently and I think I'm personally burnt out on survival games at the moment, but I'm still considering it.

If you don't own any (or most) of the games then for $9 it's a good deal.  Problem is most people here have already picked up anything good Double Fine has produced by now.

They added 4 games to the Double Fine bundle - I think they're the last 4 listed in the BTA but I really don't remember what they started with.
The new games added to the BTA tier are:

Hack and Slash

Iron Brigade

Stacking (includes Steam key and DRM-free download)

Spacebase DF-9

At this point, I'm going with the top tier since it's not that much more expensive than the BTA tier. A lot of these games are DRM-free and low-end friendly, so that's right up my alley. :bouncy:

BTW if anyone gets the Double Fine bundle and doesn't want GNOG message me. We'll figure out something. Supposedly was bundled in the massive itch.io racial justice bundle, but would prefer it on Steam.

It was also given away free on Epic Games Store last summer.

I started typing out all the games for August and gave up half way through because why even bother.

EDIT: They gave me a $4 coupon when I tried to pause. I still had a $2 coupon on my account from a couple months back but I think it's unusable now since it expires before the next bundle and you can't use two at once.

Well, Vampyr finally showed-up in a HBC. So, my sacrifice paid off for you all, from buying it in May 2019. ;)

Vampyr is certainly worth the $12 alone, IMHO. I still am on the last section and need to finish that one up - as the game can get really tough and out-level you, if you try to save as many as you can. Easy Mode on any difficulty can be basically doing quests and biting necks - namely to get XP from especially those that you have maxed their blood pool (i.e. XP pool) out by doing their particular quests.

Love the writing, voice-acting, story-telling, characters, twists, turns, the important decisions, music, atmosphere, etc etc. Basically, everything other than the combat is great. Combat's fine and serviceable - but that's not the real reason to play this one; everything else is.

I'm missing Call of Chtuhlu (Cyanide) - yeah, was curious about that one anyways...so this sounds good, since I'm missing other stuff too (i.e. Coma 2).

Also, American Fugitive was recently in a Fanatical Bundle, so I have that from there. Also already have Vampyr.

A lot better monthly that the past few have been imo, I figured I might as well try to pause and see if they would offer me a coupon and they gave me $4.00 off.  Pretty good bunch of games for ~$8.50.  Just need to see if steam will refund We Were Here Together that I bought at the end of the summer sale and still haven't played, it cost as much then as this entire bundle does.

i would be pretty damn happy with this but i bought vampyr in the epic sale a few months back. i'll still get it for call of cthulhu and im sure i can talk myself into a few other games on here

Little surprised no one is mentioning Wargroove. Def a sucker for turn-based strategy games, and I don't think it has been bundled yet.

If I hadn't had GamePass or Amazon/Twitch giveaway games, I'd probably be interested in this bundle. But, that's not the case. Happy for everyone who actually wants it.

Honestly looks like a solid month and nice getting all the games. I still wont play Hello Neighbor or We Were Here Together, but otherwise pretty solid. Already have Wargroove on Switch, but yeah that's a good one.

After coupon, I think Vampyr was like $5 or so from Epic a few months back, right?

Mediocre at best.  Headlining with Focus Home Interactive titles is not impressive.  Yeah Wargroove is neat but that will inevitably be bundled again.  As will the rest of this stuff.  Hell, American Fugitive is currently in a $4 Fanatical bundle.

This month will be a solid use of my $4 coupon. Vampyr, Call and Genesis have all made appearances on my wishlist at one time or another.

Hello Neighbor is truly awful ... hilarious they’re listing MSRP as $59.99. If I pause all year, do I win a prize?

I wouldn't say "Impressive" is the word, but FHE does make some pretty solid games that would be worth taking in a bundle. Also, everything is inevitably bundled again.

Focus Home Interactive is the equivalent of the “Coming soon to a home theater near you” VHS releases of the 80s and 90s ... yeah, it’s playable but you’re never going to see their stuff getting the red carpet treatment.

not mind blowing but in terms of whether im happy to spend 12 bucks on it or not the answer is yeah i am which is really all i worry about with these

yeah thats when i got it. i thought it would probably be bundled relatively soon so made an effort to play it, finished it a few weeks ago
Good call on finishing it up. I still need to work on the final area and all.

How was the final chapter and end-stuff? How was your ending/outcome?

Bah, this is what I get for checking here first. Bummed out. If I'd checked humble first I'd have just been happy. Genesis Alpha One... 1.5 years wait and its in a humble monthly choice.. deal..of the month.

Epic exclusive failure. Oh, and Vampyr looks nice I guess. Nothing uber great but whatever.

Vikings Wolves of Midgard was the extra special bonus game for July btw.

Automachef is pretty fun too. You automate fast food restaurants. Later on, you can actually do some programming...which I stopped at because it started feeling like work.
