Having cigarettes sent across state lines to locations that have tax stamps placed on all cigarettes is against the law.
As has already been mentioned, you will be charged with tax evasion at the very least if the company selling them is ever compelled to produce thier records by the IRS (which happens fairly regularly).

I used to make trips to Georgia for cigs, since they are so much lower than here. You could always get some Kite and rolling papers (using rolling papers for legal uses, it's the unique thing to do!!)

If someone did want to quit, an easy way would to be to have a non-smoking spouse. Get a water bottle or big vase or huge jar, and everytime you spend your money on cigarettes, you put an equal amount of your (not their) hard earned money in the bottle. After a year, they get to do what they want with the money saved up (no one is allowed to touch it until the time comes). When they get back from their Carribbean Cruise which you paid for, and all you have got to show for it is a shorter life, most people will stop smoking (everyone I've known who has tried this has).
I also used to have another method which is a shorter time span (a week to a month) and much cheaper and healthier (if you really follow it). I could get a hold of a copy of it again if anyone out there is really interested in quitting this disgusting habit. No charge. I enjoy helping people improve the quality of life they lead. That is all I get out of it (which is plenty).
I have never smoked nor drank nor anything of the sort (and I'm almost 25 - *gasp*), and I have never had the desire. I just used to work regularly with a lot of people with smoking problems and was able to help many quit in a short period of time.

Flame on if you will, here's the thoughts.
Why is it acceptable to bash smokers and not to other bad habits? In other words, you wouldn't tell a fat person that they need to stop eating, so why does it become socially acceptable to tell a smoker they need to stop.
Drugs are bad is a joke. Government has no reason or right to control the substances one decides to place in their own body. The government sends a mixed message of drug endorsement when certain "regulated" drugs are acceptable. Case and point - coffee - the #1 most regulated drug available. Your reasoning that certain drugs are bad is only spun by government propaganda.
Insurance costs rise due to more insurers paying into larger pools. If all were to be insured, the costs would rise even more as the companies that bill for procedures can get more. To reduce insurance costs, we need to drop this socialist sceme of insurance and abolish it entirely. That forces the system back into reasonable costs that the public can afford instead of inflated prices based on insurance payments.

i don't really bash smokers...but i hate being around them while they're smoking (the odor gives me an immediate headache) or when they're talking about how bad they need a smoke...smoking is retarded IMO...do i beat my opinion into people? no...do i have friends that smoke? yes....would i let them smoke in my house/car? no...are they mad about that? no, 'cause admittingly, if you have any kind of common sense, you have to know that smoking is a pointless & stupid waste of time, money and health....thats not to say that ive never wasted my money...further on and down to the fat people comment...im not fat and ive never smoked anything and never will...but you actually need food to survive, its normal....if you didn't eat, you would die....if you didn't smoke, you would...um...most likely live longer...depending on other circumstances that may arise throughout your life...yes, some people over-eat, but i guess you didn't know that everyone's body is unique and some people have metabolism problems and other health problems where they can't lose weight...some people have uncontrollable growing up and living situations where their only source of food due to time restraints (among other restraints) is fast food...that said, i eat a lot of fast food, but i fortunately have a great metabolism which turns my food into shit before i can even finish chewing...that said, do i make fun of fat people? yes...can most of them control their weight? yes...do the ones that can control their weight care? apparently not and thats their problem...just know that people eat food for different reasons than the reasons that people smoke...and other people ruining their health by over-eating isn't hurting you any...unless you're going to complain about them walking slow or something stupid...

Legalising drugs isn't as profitable as you would think. It is much more profitable to bust a high profile dealer and charge the "tax amount" and street value of the items as well as auctioning off all the property and excess. It also scores big points with the public. I'm glad you don't criticize your friends on smoking. I'm glad that you establish the rules in your home. You're okay in my book.
