[In-Stores 9/9] Clubhouse Games, Hotel Dusk, Planet Puzzle League Reprints On Amazon

BlueSwim

CAGiversary!
I was not sure if I should post this here or not but considering how rare and pricey Clubhouse Games and Hotel Dusk have been I thought the deals section was the better place. Amazon.com is now taking preorders for what appears to be reprintings of Clubhouse Games and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 for the DS.

Clubhouse Games is one of the rarest DS games out there. Both are listed at $29.99(the price it was when it came out originally) with a rumored release date of September 8(it now says"3 to 6 weeks"). A seller on the Amazon Marketplace is listing new copies of Clubhouse Games at just under $40 with the line "fulfillment by Amazon". That listing was added after this topic was posted. You can preorder your copy/copies at the links below.

UPDATE: Planet Puzzle League, the Tetris Attack clone is getting a reprinting too with a release date of August 19th. The release dates for Clubhouse Games and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 are both set for September 11th.

UPDATE 2: Clubhouse Games and Hotal Dusk have been relisted on Circuit City.com, both for the price of $20. You can find the listings below.

UPDATE 3:
speedy1961's weekly ads posting has confirmed the re-releases for Hotel Dusk and Clubhouse Games will be available on the 9th. They are both listed in Target's and Best Buy's weekly ads for the week of the 7th for only $20 each. It's now 100% confirmed.

hey, this is great news.. this has been on my list of wants since it came out, but i never picked it up in time.. i was considering pirating it since i just got an r4(and only because buying a used copy wouldnt support nintendo anyway). ..otherwise my r4 is strictly for homebrew..

anyway.. now that its being reprinted ill snag a copy right away. thanks!
I have huge circular scratches from spinning that thing in quendan 2 that are visible when you're in the right light. Any way to fix it? I called the nintendo customer service and they told me $50. Said I would just leave my scratches if it costs that kind of money to fix them.
Wow, I didn't even realize they offered to do anything about it. While $50 is a little high, that's still not too bad to have that piece replaced if I wanted.

I don't know of any other solution.

i hope they come out with players choice or greatest hits..

i need the value of my collection to start going up, the reprints of some of these games shot my game values to crap. *COUGH* PHOENIX WRIGHT *COUGH*

Yea, I was pretty annoyed when that happened too.

Games that should/will hold value or increase value:

Chibi-Robo Park Patrol (Wal-Mart Exclusive, check gamestop.com for their store locator and you can get it cheap. I paid $17.xx when the coupon was around.
Electroplankton (online only)
Etrian Odyssey (I've seen this game go for like $40 on a couple of occassions and I got it for $12.xx at gamestop)
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (sleeper hit) EDIT: Apparently this got a Reprint as well
Luminous Arc (Sleeper Hit)
World Ends With You (amazing RPG that seems to always be sold out)
Tetris DS (OOP and my favorite game)

If you want to get games like the ones above, DO NOT EBAY THEM. Shop around gamestop.com's store locater and find them at stores.

Sorry for getting off topic... it's my Rare DS Game collecting addiction.

I thought it did but then I was pretty sure it didn't.

Everyone keeps saying that about World Ends With You but I see copies of that in a few stores and have for a while now. I'd pick it up if it wasn't full price.

Buy.com's pre-order price for Clubhouse Games was $19.99 earlier this week. Now it's listed at $26.99 and marked as "Sold Out" rather than "Pre-Order."

I'm a little nervous that some distributor messed up and both Buy.com and Amazon carried through the error. We'll see, I guess...

I put a pre-order in with Buy.com at $19.99 on Monday.

World Ends With You was really hard to find for a while but after the new shippment it is in stock at most place.

Not around here. I haven't seen a new copy in a long time.

I got mine used because I couldn't find a new copy.

I see TWEwY at most stores, now. I still think it'll be tough to find in a year or so, so I have a sealed copy that I got from Amazon for 30 bucks in safe keeping, just in case.

I still see that Chibi-Robo game at Wal-Marts, too. I wonder if I should get one...

They're literally packed with copies though, which makes me think that they'll eventually drop to a rock bottom price.

i wont worry about it because Square Enix have no problem with reprints. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth was hard to find for a while and they printed more copies.
How is retail a cheapass deal again
Because its insanely rare, try reading the thread.
OP you should also mention that Hotel Dusk will be getting a reprint along with this.
@Scrubsy

Clubhouse Games is one of those that will never leave the collection-no matter how much it fetches.
Clubhouse Games is one of those that will never leave the collection-no matter how much it fetches.
Agreed. It has this charm to it that's hard to explain. It doesn't have any Nintendo characters and yet it feels more endearing than a lot of Nintendo games these days. Maybe it's the music...

Did not know my Tetris DS can fetch more than I bought it for. Feel bad for my friend that's been trying to pick up a copy recently to no avail. Still hanging on to my copy.

Glad to hear they are reprinting Hotel Dusk. Might pick it up this time around.

Dang, I should have picked Clubhouse games up a few years back during a buy 2 get 1 sale. Oh well. Does seem like a good game to play with people who don't play games.

Hummmm... glad I bought this for $15 on Christmas 2006. Don't have a DS anymore, but it was a fun game. My little sister still has fun with it.

Monopoly/Boggle/Yahtzee/Battleship:
right after it was made, Atari lost the Hasbro license so there isn't many of them out there

That plus people rave about the Boggle portion of it. I'd rather have a good Boggle game on my iPod touch, though.

My 2 cents:
Buy the Hori screen protectors, they are far superior to others I tried.
And the DS games I had a really hard time locating were Warioware Touched, which is a must have;and Pogo Island ,mindless balloon popping is a good fit for the little DS screen. And Clubhouse is infinitely replayable,so I can't see a very big used market.Pick it up during reprint if you don't have it.

I still like the original Warioware best, by a wide margin. The Wii one, Touched, and Twisted were all fun enough to me, but I don't have any desire to keep them around (probably a bit too hard also). The Gamecube one was...weird. Sort of a port of the original but with poorly conceived multiplayer thrown on top. Probably the worst.
Hotel Dusk is out of production? man, the DS market is weird.
For some reason Nintendo lets a lot of their games on the DS go OOP. Most of the really rare DS games are first party titles. I don't understand it myself.
Need a reprint of Phoenix Wright (the first game) here. Will it happen?
It already had one large reprinting in 2007. Chances are, the used copies at your Gamestop are brand new but have been opened (and the case has been plastered with stickers).

And as long as their the newer stickers, a couple of seconds with a blow dryer will warm the glue enough to not leave any sticky stuff behind, or at least not much.

add me to the list of CHG supporters. it's simple and not a big "wow" sort of title, but there's a ton of classic games that control really well and it makes an excellent "play for 10 minutes" kinda title.

for one to dislike Clubhouse Games, you'd have to dislike a lot of timeless classics like poker, checkers, backgammon, chess, dominoes, pool, darts, and dozens more. i just can't imagine that being the case. it's a brilliant collection that should pretty much never go out of style.

Ha...I traded both of those game a while back with the +30% at GameStop so I could get Rock Band. Should have held on to them and ebay'd them!

Clubhouse Games is alright, but nothing special.
Hotel Dusk is great, but not exactly a game that I would want to replay.
(Kyle Hyde smile/laugh face) (Dunning angry face)
Heh...memories.

Reminds me I need to replay HD sometime to get perfect run/best ending. I messed up a few times the first time through.

funny thing is that on release week best buy was selling CHG for $24.99, or $19.99 with gamer's coupon.

Thanks ever'buddy, I've been searching for Hotel Dusk Room 215 for a goof half-year, new and sealed, to no avail. It was one of the last hard-to-find games that eluded me. May I now game in peace (3-6 weeks from now).

And with all the high praise of Clubhouse here, I'll prolly bite on that one as well. A sucker for sollytare are is I.
