Updated OP for new deal: Six Sided Sanctuary

Nice looking block puzzle game, but I'm sure it's on its way to bundle land...

Dang was about to buy Ring Runners....looks like my type of game, but then I did buy that Groupees bundle...man how soon I forget about games I've bought from bundles and never played....I do keep a backlog up on a site....but it's huge and hard to go through haha.

I'm extremely late on this (given that there's only about 50 minutes left on this deal) but is there anybody out there who wants to split the cost of a purchase? I only want the GOG key. I offer to split it 50/50. Which would be 50 cents a piece.

I already own the game thanks to the groupees bundle. But whenever I can get the chance to get a came on GOG for super cheap like this, I like to take advantage.

New deal is Sky Nations.. Voxel + Multiplayer only = hell no from me. I'm getting tired of these voxel based games..
I'm beginning to get annoyed with these Voxel games (ie. the Minecraft look), but more than that I simply hate games that are multiplayer only.

y i kneed franz to play?

Agreed multiplayer only + indie (even sometimes AA or AAA games) = usually dead multiplayer with very little chance of being revived sans being in a good Humble Bundle or something (but we don't play all those games anyway!). I actually rarely play multiplayer only indie games as when I do I am usually so disappointed I put it into my abyss of never to play again games and throw it on my backlog of games page to dropped forever. Plus voxels bleh!!!!!

That is almost certainly to do with your browser or CAG. A few people mentioned having that problem in the support forum as well, so I'm guessing it's just more 3.0 trouble :fridge:

Updated OP for new deal: Great Permutator

I got this in an IR bundle and it's a pretty tough puzzle game in the vein of SpaceChem, Manufactoria, etc.

Hmm, this looks like something right up my alley, but how's the learning curve? I know you said it's pretty tough, but is the tutorial (if there is one) helpful enough that it isn't completely overwhelming from the start? The video seemed like it got very complex, but if that's later in the game it would make sense. I haven't played much of SpaceChem though so maybe I should just boot that up...

I've only played a few levels, but there's a demo available on Desura so you can try it out yourself: http://www.desura.com/games/great-permutator

Updated OP for new deal: Party of Sin

Previously bundled in Groupees Be Mine Anniversary Bundle, backlogged, and never played.

I've played a bit of Party of Sin.  It's a cool concept and a decent action-puzzle platformer, but it's tough as hell to control.  7 buttons map to the 7 different sins (characters), and it's tough to remember which button maps to which sin and it's necessary to do a lot of sin swapping.

It was actually a lot easier to control than I thought it'd be. After I got used to the bindings I didn't have issues with the controls.. it sucks that you can't change how the bindings are mapped though. Also forget playing with a controller.. you need to switch characters fast to get the best experience and it's impossible to do that with a gamepad.

Platformer that has to be played with a keyboard = pass for me :/

Interesting. I was playing with a controller, I never thought to try it with the keyboard. Maybe I'll give it another try, but it still seems like it'll be tricky remembering which sin maps to which key.

I played it with my cousin using xbox controllers. does not need keyboard

but i would highly recommend having a friend to play with (local co-op only)

Edit: Also if I remember, some of the sins are color-coded to the xbox360 facebuttons to keep it a little easy to remember

It's not much different than learning what guns are tied to keys in a FPS. I don't understand why they don't let you customize the controls though.

Yeah this was what originally held me off from playing it.. I was disappointed that there's no online co-op and the dev has no plans to add it. I'm sure it's more fun in co-op, but I played through the singleplayer and enjoyed it enough.

Updated OP for new deal: The Grave Digger

I've actually been meaning to get this but I missed the game flip and now I want the extras as well - at $1.84, I'm still thinking about it. Has anyone played it? Desura has a demo...

I completely skipped Build-A-Bundle 7. Frogatto & Friends was the only game that I came close to buying in that bundle. So I might have to give this some thought.

Though I wish I hadn't passed on it last time. Could have gotten it a bit cheaper as well as a few extra steam keys from the bonus games.

I grabbed this from Groupees, but unfortunately haven't played it since there doesn't seem to be anyway of making it fullscreen, and the window is locked at 800x600 or there abouts. I'd like to keep my eyesight for a while longer thanks :oldman:

I passed on this at Shinyloot a few times. For a dollar I'll have to bite. Haven't played it though.

I've been watching for it too. Finally bit on it for a buck. I'm enjoying it. Best savored in small amounts, I think. Pretty straight forward avoid monsters while collecting the treasures. Has 18ish levels to complete. Completing a level probably takes around 10 minutes give or take 5. So a few hours of entertainment digging up graves. Knowing what I know now, I would probably be willing to fork over $2 for it, but I'm a cheap bastard so take that for what it's worth.

Suddenly I don't feel too bad about skipping it last time.

Steam keys for King Arthur's Gold are up on www.kag2d.com in your panel. Oh yeah!

And from the Steam page, "It blends the best cooperative aspects of Lost Vikings, mashes them with Worms, with the visual style of Metal Slug..."  It doesn't seem as expressive as Metal Slug, but Yes!

Hi! a Frogatto dev here.

Well, you can get it early and wait until we're on Steam, and then play the next version with full resolution and controller support.
(And two new bosses and whatnot)

Greetings marcavis. Welcome to CAG.

Can I ask, what exactly do you mean by "the next version"? Do you mean an updated version of this game (with better resolution options)? Or are you referring to a sequel?

I'm guessing it's the former, but I just want to make sure that I'm understanding you correctly.

Yeah, an updated version - we've currently got version 1.3.2 on Desura/IGS/Humble Store, and are trying to get v4 greenlit - plenty of new stuff, like special attacks and that big moth boss that's shown in the video. And... yeah, resolution and controller support as well.
We won't make a sequel to Frogatto - any continuation to the story is going to be added to it as updates. Then again, we're actually improving things on the middle of the game instead of adding stuff after the final boss, anyway. Not that we'd be against that, either.
