I've been sorely disappointed by the last few swimsuit issues. They don't push the envelope anymore. They used to show see-through tops and other nice things, and over the past few years, they've stopped doing that. They had that photo of Cheryl Tiegs in that fishnet swimsuit decades ago, and when they show a similar fishnet top this year, they airbrush out the nipples. On top of looking completely ridiculous, it's downright tasteless. It's disrespectful to the female body. Sure, showing the nipples is sexy, but it used to be tasteful and very special. Now the swimsuit issue feels like Maxim.
When I say anything, I mean it. It can be other magazines, photo art books, websites, women's clothing magazines and catalogs, etc. Even if there is outright nudity unlike the old swimsuit issues, as long as it's tasteful, I don't mind. I know not every publication is going to have the budget to have extravagant swimsuits and exotic locales, but I'm not looking for that in particular.
I already know about Playboy and Domai on the "outright nudity" side of things, and I already have the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Knockouts hardcover book. What else is out there?
