Itagaki leaving and suing tecmo - Update: Another Employee Lawsuit

the money that Tecmo lost on the drop of their stock probably could have been used to pay Itagaki. lol that is if, they really want him... could be that they didn't really want him there.

It was a $27.4M drop.

The stock price drop could be more due to the lawsuit or that it is out in open that Tecmo doesn't award bonuses to their hit-making employees. Kotaku reporting the business side of gaming = #-o
Kotaku reporting anything/existing at all = #-o
I'm more amused by the fact that between Gamespot, Kotaku and Joystiq not one of them exerted the extra 1 minute's worth of effort to look up the total number of shares and point out that the total drop in share price was dramatically larger than the suit itself. It's almost like they're trying not to be taken seriously as journalists.

Wow that's interesting. I'll update the title of this topic so people check it out.

I suppose if Tecmo didn't bother to pay bonuses to Itagaki why would they bother with anyone else in Team Ninja?
This schmuck above me has been reported, kill him before he spreads!
too late he hit my RRoD FAQ... why would a spammer hit a RROD FAQ Thread?!??!

so let me guess, I take it with this latest update, there will be no Dead or Alive 5 or another Extreme Beach Volleyball ?

oh well my bachelor years are coming to a close, in another two weeks I am going to be popping the question. It was fun while it lasted.

Update: Two employees representing all 300 Tecmo employees are suing Tecmo for $8.3 million yen ($77,000) in unpaid wages, claiming they were put on a flexible hours work schedule and forced to work 100 hours of unpaid overtime a month. The suit also claims Tecmo has created false documents and has covered up accounting documents.

Needless to say this doesn't look good for Tecmo, maybe they could get Microsoft to buy the company.

The way this story has been handled just reaks of lazy "journalism." Tecmo was right to call out the western media outlets.

I know this is a lawsuit and Tecmo will not release any comments regarding it, but have any of the media outlets even tried contacting them? Both 1up and and Kotaku failed to even ask Tecmo for their side of the story.
