This is bullshit. Last night I started the Superman HD movie download. After 21 hours I was at 75% done. Now, all of a sudden my download disappeared and the HD version of the movie is no longer available.

I read that there was some video error issues with the HD version of the movie, so my guess is that they pulled the error ridden HD version and are looking to replace it with a more reliable version. This probably means I'll have to redownload it.

I think I got screwed out of 480 MS points and I really don't want to start the download all over again.

i think the movie service would really take off if they could work out those slow downloads.. i have a lightning fast connection and everything still takes forever to dl on xbl (ive done all e tweaks etc)..

It should not take 21 hours to dl a hd movie.. wtf

I haven't tried to download any other movies, besides Superman. Major Nelson said part of the reason MS took Superman HD off the marketplace is because it was the only movie that was downloading slow. Apparently, the video marketplace is a lot faster now. I may download something else with my comped points to test it out.

If the next movie I download is slow as shit or I get any other problems, then they'll have lost themselves a video marketplace customer.

P.S. They added Beerfest in SD last night Linkin.

Thanks for telling me. I checked the xbox website and it turns out theres quite a bit of new WB movies out there now. Unfortunately the site doesnt specify wether they are in HD or SD.

Really? Shit, I tried downloading a Star Trek HD episode last night and gave up 'cause it was so slow. I'll have to try again tonight. Maybe Wednesday is not the best day to be downloading stuff that large...

Thanks for heads up, went to go redownload it. Didn't charge me and it's still at 75%! So, I should be watching the movie by the time I get home from school. I can already tell it's downloading at a much faster pace.
 
I won't have my 360 back for a bit, but I was able to check the marketplace before returning it.

Vegas Gamerpics - 60 points
Viva Pinata Accessory Pack 5 - 90 points

There was more Carbon content, but I don't remember the specifics. I believe there was a Tuner car set that included a marketplace only car for 400 points. Likewise for the other two car classes. Then there was the body upgrades for each car class for 200 points per set. Then there was three more marketplace only cars for 80 points a car. The best download so far? Free Fire Engine and Dump Truck (or it could have been garbage truck, my mind is fuzzy)

Yes, I still prefer my Blockbuster.com over XBOX Live movies any day. I know it's for the instant gratification people, but they are overpriced.

way too much simulation...the old game was much better, with the elbow drops and suplexes. It's basically madden now with cheap gimmicks (landing dirty hits to build up a metter).

There was an auto update for me this morning, but I can't find any specifics.

There was the video guides for Vegas, 100 points each.

According to major nelson, Ms. Pac-man is available now but I can't find it. My guess is his script added it accidently and will be amended soon.

I have 2 questions (might have been asked in other threads, but didn't see them in this one).

- Do the arcade games ever fall in price? Haven't gotten any free points yet, so there are games I'm interested in, but not for the points that they cost.

- Someone mentioned that the movies are good for 24 hours. Is that the same with the tv shows?

edit: thanks ryan and linkin. For some reason i thought ms pac man was last week. Guess ill have to wait 2 weeks before a shot at a possible castlevania/worms/alien hominid.

I saw all those movies up on Saturday night.

I have rented the proposition, I can't recommend it, it's pretty boring and weird.
