So I was talking about positive role models for minorities and somebody I worked with brought up black superheroes and they came up with a couple. Then I thought about Jewish Superheroes and I couldnt come up with one. After doin a lil searching I found this.

http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/List of Jewish superheroes

Jews got some pretty crappy superheroes such as Atom Smasher, Colossal Boy, Shadowcat, Sasquatch, and Ragman. There is only a few cool ones like Magneto and the Thing. Ohh and apparently Iceman is half jewish.

Damn you Christians taking all of the superheroes and leaving everyone else with the leftovers

Wasn't one of the Green Lanterns Jewish, but I could be entirely wrong as I never really read that comic too much. Anyways, I don't think religious background is really what comic writers focus on when they create superheroes.
Hanukkah Harry. (Think that was the name of the character on SNL) He was Jewish, wasn't he?
He wasn't a superhero, he was filling in for Santa.

Well, anyone that fills in for Santa and brings joy and happiness to Jewish boys and girls is a superhero in my book.
It says Harley Quinn is Jewish. Now that's one hot Jew.
she's as nutty as a fruit cake, though I have never had fruit cake from what I hear its pretty nutty

Dradel, Dradel, Dradel
I made it out of clay
Do you have anything light?

How about this leaflet, "Famous Jewish Sports Legends?"
Dammit, what movie is this taken from? It's on the tip of my tongue...

The Harley Quinn from the TV show was so different from the Harley Quinn they put in the comics. It was weird. Then again there are massive differences in numerous villians I suppose.

Howard Stern? Hello? He's enough to represent our people. He fights censoring, conservatives that want to keep people down and take away freedom of speech. If that's not a superhero then I don't know what it.

Duffman is probably a superhero to Springfield's alcoholic population. I mean, he did toss H.K. Duff off the bleachers Darth Vader-style, did he not.

Super heroes usually fight for the good of humanity - Stern fights for his own good. He didn't give a shit about any of the crap he talks about now until the FCC came down on him.
Magneto's god.. Why do you even need any more than him alone? He more than picks up the slack!
He's not Jewish. I think he's an Austrian . If I remember the origin issue right his family was brought to the concentration camps because they were gypsies.

About Kal El though, I remember a Mad magazine that had a story about how Superman would be if he was raised as a Jew. heh

i think robin hood would qualify as a Jew because he kept picking up money or something like that... meanwhile captain planet must be the godfather in disguise... i mean the planeteers use rings to call him and the godfather used to let people kiss his rings... see the connection??

He's so cool it carries over. I was always under the impression he was a jew - either way..

I am pretty sure with the comics and their great continuity that he was both somehow and different points in time
