I used to use TP on my music CD's when I was younger and didnt take care of them. Shit works like a charm! Its gotta be the paste though
..that's unique? For GameStop to carry I guess.
Well they sell the machine so that you have something to fix all the non working overly scratched discs that gamestop.com sells.
I was looking at this after watching a video demonstration on youtube. As it happens Amazon has it for the same price and 115.00 for 3rd Party Vendors. I think i might have to get one of these soon. I spent a ton at the BBV BOGO and alot of the 360 disc can use a cleanup. link for amazon:http://www.amazon.com/JFJ-Easy-Univ...2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1294623810&sr=8-2
Should of just bought a PS3. That would have saved you $115+ if you decide to buy this.

ps3 sux, deal with it

Keep in mind that you would have to get replacement pads for these machines and I know that back in the day(5 years or so ago) they weren't cheap. Also anyone that is looking at buying one should look into where they can get the supplies for when they do need more.

For the price you should check out monoprices machine. It's compact and only 17.69. I bought one and am very pleased with it, they also have the refill packs for 3 and some change. As long as you use them for games that you will be keeping in your colllection it does the trick wonderfully it just leaves them looking a big ugly (coincidently they look just like gamestops refurb discs with all the circular light buffing scratches)

EDIT: Whoops, forgot the link. Here ya go:

FYI for anyone who does want one -

CHEAPER PRICE on spotted-horse.com

$117ish, no shipping charge (using their eternal 10% off coupon - take10)

They sell on ebay, too, but I didn't check the price there.

 Too true, too true. It makes you wonder what some folks do to their games to get them looking like some of the ones GS sells.:puke:

That doesn't help if you're buying largely used games from BBV or GS, since people who trade/rent games tend to only trade in shit that looks like they used steel wool to clean them and people who rent figure it's not theirs so they can handle it as roughly as they want to.

But if anything I would suggest that anyone considering attempting to buff an even slightly scratched PS3 game just NOT do it, since once the games lose that scratch resistant(not scratch proof like some folks think) coating it's game over for a PS3 disc. It becomes WORSE than a CD for taking on new scratches. Even attempting to use a new/clean microfiber cloth to wipe off a speck of dust will leave a scratch.

That's the same machine that Family Video uses to repair discs.

If your nearby FV is lucky enough to have a disc cleaner, this is the heavy duty one they use.

They'll repair non-blu-ray discs for $2. Or free if you're lucky.

I don't think I've spent anywhere close to $100+ dollars on unplayable discs. Seems to me like it'd be cheaper to just buy a new game if you're unlucky enough to get screwed over on a bad used purchase.

Plus, you can return used games to Gamestop for any reason until 7 days (I still hate them though). Doesn't seem like any refurbishing kit is worth it to me.

Yes, how dare someone have an opinion that differs from yours!

I can't speak for where you live, but every family video that I've seen (40-50) doesn't use jfj's. Hollywood video/gamecrazy always used jfj's (the larger, double-armed ones).

So sad to say that in the past-tense.

I actually bought the double armed jfj machine we used at my GC when it shut down. I cleaned it out and ... haven't touched it sense. Probably going to try to sell it soon.
