any idea on what next weeks deals are going to be? I have coupons to use, I want the rock band 3 piano but i have had no luck finding it from 7 different kmarts i have checked at all around illinois and indiana so i guess i will have to just use them on something else before they expire at the beginning of january

Sorry. I didn't mean to mislead you but the actual deal was SMG2 with a $20 coupon. The ad showed that you would receive a free 2000 Wii points card with the purchase of SMG2 but the points card had limited availability at Kmarts across the country so SHC changed it to the coupon. Those that were lucky enough to find a points card got it free in addition to the coupon. It turned out to be a hell of a deal.

I've got my coupons from DKCR to (hopefully, if they get it) be applied to Super Mario All-Stars. Once I use the $10 from it, I'm getting off the train.

It would have to be a terrific set of deals to get back into it. Kmart is a hassle when I get in the store...plus, I don't see many releases coming up that I would *need* to get. By the time I'd be ready to play them, they'd prolly be dropped in price anyway.
 
Gonna keep the train rollin. Have $25 in coupons for mario all stars, and still have the $20 from epic mickey.
Josh said something about a $25 offer of dead space 2, but my guess is the mario coupon will expire 1/22.

At any rate, with 3DS coming i hope to be on the kmart coupon express for a while.
I am lucky enough to have 2 kmarts nearby, and they have gotten their act together since i started kmart shopping at green day rockband's release.

I hardly need any new games though. I dont have a large backlog, but Donkey kong is kicking my arse, and making me WANT to collect everything in the process. Good times.

No.

In theory the deals have been pretty good, but the execution at the store level has been horrible. Poor customer service, advertised items not available the day the game is released, items not ringing up at advertised prices, etc.

The Splatterhouse deal was nice and got me in the store, which turned into two other purchases with other coupons, but it's too much aggravation at the store level.

Back to Amazon for me, although I appreciate Josh's work.

I'll probably be finishing the train with Mario and then maybe some hardware/points. I'll likely jump back on the coupon train later, particularly if there are good deals to be had when the 3DS launches.
 
My Kmart has several copies of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. I picked one up last week to take advantage of the $15 coupon offer. I'm currently sitting on two $15 coupons from two different offers. I'm tempted to use the coupons on another copy of DQV, but that will end the train for me. Decisions, decisions...
 
It'd be cool if Josh came up with the most amazing last-minute deals right before Christmas. Then people are like, "I shouldn't have spent my coupons so soon! Let me back on the train. I shouldn't have doubted you, SHC-Gamer!" Err--just kidding. :cold:

Think Ima getting off the coupon train myself for now got no things to buy and coupons gonna expire, wondering about spending my remaining coupons on one of 'em deals.

If I can plan ahead when using my coupons, K-mart gonna get all my release day purchases if they have an offer.

My last two experiences at K-mart were fine, so far SHC's deals far outweigh the overall crappy structure of K-Mart.

As long as SHC is the conductor I'm on board.
 
Has anyone seen PS3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare Saga Pack at Kmart? It is a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1&2/double pack that was a Kmart exclusive for the PS3 version during Black Friday.

I know that Gamestop carries the Xbox 360 version. I might get Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare at Kmart since that's Greatest hits, if I can't find that double pack anymore.

Once late january rolls around we'll all be back in the habit.

It just confuses me people using this wording like "getting off the train"

Nobody got off the train, the train stopped.

Just look at the upcoming release schedule that are likely or confirmed to have coupon deals

You know, I've seen the saga pack, but I honestly can't remember if it was at Kmart. I assume it is if it's an exclusive.
 
I fucking knew it. I bite on Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition at 59.99 and it's gonna be 39.99 on Sunday. DAMN it. I could have saved myself a 15 dollar coupon and bought Microsoft points with that, and then use 25$ worth of coupons to get it for 15. FML.
 
Sonic Colors + SMAS = $70 - $25 in GS/DQ9 coupons and $20 Epic Mickey coupon = $25 for the two and $10 in coupons back. Use my rewards points ($6.50) to get it for $18.50 + tax, so somewhere around $20.xx. That wouldn't be a bad haul. Yeah, I know I missed the $15 off thing. Boo hoo.

I think I have found what I'm buying. Now, here's to hoping that my local Kmart still has their one copy of Sonic Colors still. If not, I think I'll end up grabbing Mario vs DK for the DS (again, assuming they have it).

Technically, the "train" train never has a stop. With Super Mario All Stars getting a 10 coupon, and likely expiring right after the time Dead Space comes out, you could technically never get off. If you aren't interested in such a deal, or even the Mickey one last week, then you technically are OFF of the train. It is still going. Pretty sure it has been since the coupons started.

Yes FYL simply because you spent money on a video game instead of waiting. Stop this hyperbole.

For me the train ended for one week or so just around the Call of Duty Black Ops release. But I'm on it again.

Presuming the Red Wii is included with the $50 gaming coupon offer (and dont see why it shouldnt), I might have to pick one up.

Looks like Mario & AC for me next week. Was a little concerned about upcoming deals but just gotta keep faith in SHC Gamer. And thanks Josh for the AC deal as I was hoping you'd do something for it or NFS around that price range/deal.

Going to use up my $15 and $30 coupons and see if the new coupons remain valid 'til Portal2's release

EDIT: nevermind about Portal2 release. Thought it was coming out at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb

Think he may be pulling back a little on the advance notice of deals to maintain his edge over other stores. I noticed that TRU has been trying to match or best some of the Kmart deals

No thats not true. Cataclysm gives a $15 general gaming coupon. It is not restricted to just PC games. The whole misinterpetation is due to the fact that any $39.99 PC game right now gives a $15 gaming coupon.
 
I'm staying onboard the coupon train until it crashes. I'm sitting on 5, $15 coupons. I plan on using 1 on NBA Jam, 1 on Mario Allstars, 1 on Sonic Colors, and 1 on Bakugan (present for the nephew). That leaves me my last $15 coupon that I got from cataclysm and the $10 from Mario Allstars to start off the new year.

I know a lot of you are disappointed about the lack of showing on OP for new coupon deals and so forth, but the train isn't stopping. This month sucks as far as new releases, but Josh won't let the train die that easy. I'd be shocked if there wasn't anything nice around Xmas, and once the new games start coming in he'll have deals to keep everyone happy. Unfortunately it won't fix the crappiness of a lot of Kmart employees, but there will still be a lot to look foward to.

Yeah, I have one Epic Mickey coupon left and am not sure what to get with it. Sonic Colors is getting a price drop next week, and since I'll be there anyway getting SMAS I might as well get it too and save the $10 pre coupon.

I might snag a copy of Dragon Quest IV for the DS, although pre-coupon it's $30, and only $25 at Amazon. I might just end up picking up a random Wii or DS game, depending on what they have in the case when I get there Friday.

Problem is that I was so quick in and out of my local Kmart the other day that even though the cases were organized, I didn't really get a good look at what they had, except for a couple titles that were near ones I wanted alphabetically.

Anyway, picked up Cataclysm today with my $30 coupon from Splatterhouse. They had a nice display set up so I didn't have to wait for anyone to show up in electronics. Just grabbed the game and went up front.

Now, how about a deal on Golden Sun or GT5 so I can end this year's coupon train on a high note. :D
 
I will probably use my last coupon on Mario and definitely plan on hoping on the train again. the K-Mart near me hasn't let me down once so I will continue to support it and spread the word. Thanks. :applause:

No, I got *off* the train long before it stopped. Actually, I'd argue that the train never stops (as per your list of upcoming deals). But once you drop your last coupon, you've gotten off. For me, that came Thanksgiving Day with HFS:HP. I used my last coupon then and didnt receive another so I'm off the train.

No real intention on getting back on again either. Methinks I need to whittle down this backlog.

Should have got it on Black Friday man. $30 was a great price. Of course I have not seen it at a single Kmart in my area since it came out, so I priced matched it at Walmart (was gonna go the BX route for tax-free but they had none either).
But that price was a steal.

I would add Homefront to that list. It comes out on March 8 also. It's not announced yet, but MLB The Show 11 will come out that day also (sports games always come out the same day unless it's a NBA Elite-style disaster.)
