My fingers went numb today as I was feeling for minifigures at Target. I found all the ones I needed I think and now I have a complete collection. Can't wait to open them.

New lego store opening in WI... all this means is a 4 hour ride once a year, and now taxing in the lego website.

I best buy my Joust set soon.

Anyone know when they'll offer some type of free shipping?

My wife is the queen of guessing the minifigs. Thanks to her we've never bought a duplicate.

Stopped by a Wal-Mart today; they had about 15-20 Sith Infiltrators on clearance for $35... all of which were in this couple's cart, who were talking to someone else on their cell about what Lego to get. 5 minutes too late, not that I want that one anyway.

Forgot to mention, there was a Millennium Falcon on "clearance" for only $139.

Went to Target today and I found the space shuttle at 30% off for $21.

Wish I could find the Sith Infiltrator on clearance. Would love a Darth Maul figure. And same situation here with the MF. Two boxes are sitting in the clearance aisle, but are not on clearance. I went back this week again to check, and it's still $140. I'm gonna pounce like a nut if it hits $70 lol.

Nice. Need one since I just bought the space center. Was it sitting in the Lego aisle or on a clearance shelf?

It was on the clearance endcap with the sticker showing the clearanced price.
Next week, TRU will have series 6 mini figures 2 for $5. Some Star Wars sets will also be 30% off.

The following week, Buy 1 get 1 50% off (excludes Star Wars, Friends and Mindstorm)
Any word on what star wars sets are one sale yet? I got a rewards coupon for today through monday and was wondering if i should save it until sunday.

great link, bigdaddy, thanks. I've got one thing to say about Monster Fights: "Hidden Exploding Door" :) (2:09 of the MF video)

I'd like one or two glow-in-the-dark ghosts.

I picked up the four Series 6 figures I wanted: Robot/Spacegirl/Spartan/Bandit. Took less than 10 minutes to find 'em all.

While I appreciate the closer look at the sets and demos of their features - the err ...commentary(?) is sooo bad. He didn't ask any intelligent questions about the features, price points, brick counts future plans for the themes or anything of the sort. Instead it's just a lot of him "ooooh'ing and awwww'ing".

"Whoooooooooooa" "Ahhh" "Woooow" "It's a whole Lego wooorld!" "Jaaaaba".

My favorite is while he's looking at the Ninjago set that is clearly a samurai robot: "Here's a ....fighter ....guy". LOL

Yeah the music and commentary is so bad that I suggest muting the videos.

We will get price points and such at NYC Toy Fair next week.

I was going to say the same thing.

The guy knows Lego makes bricks... but that's about it.

Hate to say it, but that Jabba's Palace beats everything we've seen from the LOTR sets--and I don't even like Star Wars sets that much. That set is gorgeous!

Recently came back from Kmart feeling a hour for 8 series 6 minifigs. Time well spent not having to buy extras and deal with trading.
is there a way to figure out what minifigure is in a bag? I'm still new to this and my daughter would like the girl ones
Feeling. Find a place that has the artbox for reference when doing so, works wonders. Characters with accessories are usually a dead give away.
is there a way to figure out what minifigure is in a bag? I'm still new to this and my daughter would like the girl ones
Feel them up

Lady Liberty and the girl with the fan both have large, slanted pieces for the skirt. The future girl has a laser stick, which the alien also has. Just make sure it has a helmet.

Skater girl is a pretty easy one. Just feel for the curved skateboard and the wheels.

For the surgeon I'd look for maybe the flat xray piece or the cap - but be aware the genie has a similarly sized and shaped turban.
Yeah the music and commentary is so bad that I suggest muting the videos.
LOL in the last Star Wars video I think the narrator called the palace "Jaboo's Place". :dunce:

I also muted all the videos after watching the first one. Jabba's palace has me excited. It blows away the 2003 version, although it will definitely cost far more than the original's $30 MSRP. Still, many times I find myself buying Star Wars sets just for the minifigs (every Hoth set), so it's nice to get a set with some substance.

The monsters and Ninjago themes look fun, too. That samurai mech is awesomely over the top.

Jabba's Palace is amazing, but the price tag for it I don't think will be less than $120. With ten minifigures maybe even $150+.

I got the last PoS one for $15-20.

Lucked out at TRU on Friday and got the Skater Girl, the Windup Robot and the Centurion. Only have a few more from Series 6 I want! I still find it super hard to justify buying Lego from there though.

You have to feel out the packaging, feeling for specific pieces. The girl ones are pretty easy, they have a huge slope brick for legs (dress bottom) it's one of the easiest pieces to feel.

Well the minifigures are on sale this week at TRU. I probably won't get there until Wednesday so I hope they have some left.

brickset has a whole bunch of links for the NYC Toy Fair, check them out. fbtb.com should have pictures too.

The $13 Marvel set is Captain America chasing an unknown badguy on a motorcycle. Really original there LEGO. ;)

LotR mine set has 776 pieces and is $80. The LotR castle has 1368 pieces, so $150?

Lego seems to be in motorcyle chase/truck chase/crazy mech pattern for their themes lately. Oh, I'll still buy them, of course.

You're probably right. I'm hoping for something in the Queen Anne's Revenge/Hogwarts Castle/Kingdoms Joust range of $120-$130.

Just noticed the series 6 was 2 for $5 at TRU this week. I might try my luck at this feel method to get the pink girl and skater girl for my daughter. The Leprachaun looks cool also.

We found a pink girl today. Feel for the rod that's supposed to be the laser, then helmet and hair.

Lady Liberty is easy to identify if you find the torch flame.

I was able to pick up a few Series 6 minifigs at TRU today. I'm still looking for Centurion and Clockwork Robot. I've an extra Series 6 Butcher and Leprechaun. Also, I have an extra Series 5 Detective, Zoo Keeper and Clown. PM me if you are interested in trading for these. Thanks.

I did check some Walmarts recently. I found what I believe is a Christmas gift return of the Ninjago Earth Dragon Defense (2509) for $17.40. At one Walmart, I saw the shelf tags for POTC The Cannibal Escape $15 and POTC Captain's Cabin $9, but all sold out or lost within the store. I still can't find a Hogwarts Castle, Millenium Falcon, and Police Station for cheap:cry:

Has anyone else actually found the MF on clearance? I saw that one guy report it a few pages back, but haven't seen anyone actually say they got it at a clearance price.

I found it for $70 at one Walmart out of nine Walmarts I visited in the past two weeks.

Anyone else notice that the Riddler in the Funhouse Escape shown at Toy Fair has a green bowler hat?

Would have preferred that to the gray one that is actually in the set.

Yeah the Germany sets are the official sets when the NYC ones are mainly prelims.

New Lego sets that aren't overpriced?!?!

I can't tell you how excited I am for the Marvel sets. I was so bummed when I saw the DC sets come out thinking that they wouldn't license Marvel too(also since Mega Bloks had an agreement with them for years) but now they're here! I can only hope for a full on X-Men theme. That'd make my day.

Grrr. I bought a bunch of the minifigs yesterday and found out my $40 "promo" gift card I got when I bought Skyrim had already expired with probably $30 or so remaining on it. That's not even 3 months.

I'm going to write them a strongly worded email. Filthy bastards.

Does anyone have an extra Mace Windu Starfighter 7868 they picked up from Walmart? I remember hearing these were at 50% off. I'd love to scoop one up from someone if they're willing. Send me a PM or let me know here. I'm paypal ready and have tons too trade as well. :)

Hit a Walmart at lunch and picked up Hogwarts (the smaller one) for $20 and the last series 5 figure they had just randomly laying about, which was the Egyptian Queen for $2.
They also had PotC Cannibal Escape for $15, Cars 2 Great Race (at least I think thats what its called) for $15 and one Alien Conquest Tripod for $13
