30131 Jack Sparrow with Raft? If so I need to hit TRU today.
No raft. I didn't see the set number, but it was just a Jack Sparrow minifig - only 4 pieces.

Found more clearance at work today...an entire sidecap of S4 never made it to the floor for some reason. 120 minifigs in that package. Don't think I will need much else, since all I need is the mad scientist to complete S4, but if they survive to 75%, why not?

I got a ten bucks off 7052 Alien Abduction at the Lego Store. The box was toast. I fully expected the clear bubble cockpit to be shattered but there wasn't a single thing wrong with the whole set. Hooray!

Also, while I was at TRU some rednecky woman and her kids were convincing themselves that they would get 5770 Lighthouse Island for free with a $30 set.

Oh yeah, earlier in the week I got my battle droid pack in the mail from Amazon Warehouse. Box was crushed, but all the plastic bags were sealed.

This was happening a hell of a lot more than you think this week

TRU week of 6/26

Cars 2 sets 20% off.

TRU Back to school catalog starts on 7/1. Look for it in the mail in a week or so as there is more than likely a coupon attached to it.

Shows a picture of a jet ski w/2 figures free with $30 purchase.

To be fair TRU was really stupid with that. Mine has it taped on (a 3.99 value) on it.

Back to school on July 1st. local schools here don't even finish until then! Seven snow days and two tornado days.

I have been waiting for that jet ski. I was hoping it would be at Target for $3.

I've been working retail and/or customer service since '96. I feel your pain man.

Curse you B1G1 50% off!!!!

Dropped about $400 between yesterday and today.

I also picked up a Kreo Prowl. I am very happy with both the quality and the price. The minifigs are pretty nice too. The quality is definitely very high for a Lego knockoff but still not up to regular Lego quality. The bricks don't snap together as nice as Lego, and there is some flash sometimes. So the spare parts won't be mixing with my Lego, but Kreo is definitely worth looking into.

I ended up at the LEGO Store in Natick MA and bought Brick Calendar 853195 for $15 and got the cheerleader.

Then I get home and I found out Pig Farm is on sale at LSAH for $11.48!!! Damn! For that price and free shipping being at the store I would have bought another. Great lime green tractor, woman farmer, other guy and four pigs it's an amazing deal.

I went to the Lego Store today and picked up the Shuttle Adventure, I felt it would be a collectors item and decided to pick this one up before the new one replaces it.

My lego store had a Yoda building event today that I took my son to. We got a certificate and a duplo block. I also returned Ninja Training Outpost Item #: 2516 and bought Alien Striker Item #: 7049 instead. My son put it together when we go home.

Some nice pick ups for me this month...
Anybody going to kmart this morning to check if they switched to 50% off clearance?
No, Kmart I think went back to regular clearance price, I scanned a few items and they went to normal stickered price... pretty lame.

holy shit... don't tell me you found those sets at TRU (online order maybe?).... or was there a sale at a local Lego store, because I'll never ever never find those at the only TRU in 1000 miles.

I have QAR, and I don't bother with the modular series, but congrats if you've got a TRU that lucky to have them.

Okay, crazy rant of the day.... Kmart had a "sale" on the two Cars 2 sets they actually will sell, a 6.99 mater for 5.99 and then here's the kicker, Mater's spy zone 8424 priced at 19.99 on sale for 11.99.... frigging kidding me.. Kmart is tacking on an extra $5 for just that set alone which should retail for 14.99.

They did that on another set and I can't remember what it was, it was I think a PQ set that was suppose to be 20 but they priced it 25.

That Cars 2 set is outrageous at 15, even crazy at 20 for only 114 pieces.

just damn :hot:
Wow... mind sharing the total cost?
Sure thing. It was $318.45. Used a few bucks from my VIP and received a nice hefty discount per set.

Wow. I would have gladly unloaded $318 for those sets. Can you explain the VIP stuff? I'm new to the Lego world.

Thanks for checking.

The discount, is that for spending so much? or are you spreading the VIPs dollars and calling it that...

I don't have a Lego Store anywhere, so unsure of what sales they might come up with.

I think he mentioned once that he worked at a Lego store or something like that?

I like the Imperial ship, but you can keep the dollhouses.;)

Ding Ding Ding!! And part of the perks are 50% off sets four times a year.:bouncy:

Haha, how could you not love the "dollhouses"? These are my favorite sets!

With a set that expensive, you would think they could throw collectors a bone and put Boba Fett in the mix with Bossk, Dengar etc. Ah well, probably not going to drop 400 on it since it won't have an interior from what I can tell looking at its scale.
Kind of old news around here, they have most if not all the details on EB. The set is going to msrp for $400.
Ah, sorry if it's old news to people; it was new to me. I don't follow EB much, so I guess I missed the original announcement.

It only as like 5 minifigures because the interior is so small.

The set is huge, just a little over 4 feet long, I wont buy it anytime soon but I will end up owning it. I wouldn't call it much of an interior but they are including some internal compartments in the set, at least IG-88 is a much better figure this time around.

From what I could tell from the pictures, it's not even an internal compartment. You can remove part of the top to expose that section where bounty hunters can stand. It just seems odd to me, but since I don't $400 to begin with, it doesn't matter.
Surfing through Amazon for deals and they had Hogwarts Castle for $90, $40 off retail.
I was about to post that, actually I was going to post that Warehouse deals has one for $84.99. I'm just not sure I want to get into the Harry Potter line though...

The one i ordered was through Amazon for $90.xx. Now their price is back to $130 and another seller has one left for $90 plus shipping. Glad i didnt hesitate. Hope my order goes through.

It's about $4 dollars cheaper than amazon had it last month, it has been on a steady decline since last month. I've been keeping my eye on it and it's a great deal but I think we might see it cheaper.

EDIT: lol, that was quick amazon raised the price fast. They still have a tons of sets in stock, I'm sure we will see the same pattern again.

Better now than missing it later i guess. I just started getting into them and not too many stores close to me have them.
Anybody know a place to get Jabba's Sail Barge 6210 other than Bricklink and Ebay? Trying to get this for a decent price.
Wait for a remake, it's inevitable!!!

Hmmm, doesn't Jedi have an anniversary coming up soon? I know Empire had one recently and almost all the OT sets were from Empire ... fingers crossed for Jabba's Sail Barge ... or even better, a significantly more detailed Jabba's Palace ... or *starts tearing up* a rancor set ... just give me a rancor set ...
Not a deal, but did everyone see the Lego Super Star Destroyer? 4 feet long! Ridiculous. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/10221_UCS_Super_Star_Destroyer

I'm just disappointed how how little room there is in the interior
Well the interior was just a little bonus. It wasn't really meant to be opened up like other sets.

For me, it will be the center piece of my SW mini battle. Throw the scale out the window.
1x Death Star II, 1x Super Star Destroyer, 3x mid-scale Star Destroyers, 20+x mini X-Wings, 20+x mini TIE Fighters. That will be pretty cool. Either LEGO needs to release new mini Y-Wings, B-Wings, A-Wings, TIE Interceptors, and TIE Bombers, or I'll have to design my own (with inexpensive parts). I haven't found either the design or size I'm looking for from MOCs.

I was wondering if Lego changed the minifigure packaging on some of them? I checked brickset.com and d/l the crib sheets for series 3 and 4. At my local lego store, the packaging only has the UPC on the back. Where is the braille pattern on the packages?

It's across the bottom where the package is heat sealed.
Its also MUCH easier to get what you want by feeling up the bags.
I was looking for the artist for my son and we just gave up after about 30 packages which was about half. I was trying to feel for the palette. Maybe I try again and check the braille.

Should have felt more. I have 30ish minifigures and only made one mistake because I was in z rush.
