My kids went earlier. They enjoy these events. The price is right!TRU has a free build a Leia event today.
Hmmm..... I'm still not sure it's worth it to go into a TRU.My kids went earlier. They enjoy these events. The price is right!
Is that only because you've been on the other end of the spectrum?Hmmm..... I'm still not sure it's worth it to go into a TRU.![]()
I almost got the U-wing but really trying to keep my spending in check. I just wanted to hit the minimum for the Artoo poly really. Other option was the Luggabeast set but other than the Luggabeast itself that set is just meh. I've never had a Lego Y-wing, did have a vintage Kenner one when I was a kid though.Biter
TRU sucks in every way possible, not just working there. The store layouts is horrible, the planning is horrible, the staffing is horrible, working their is hell.Is that only because you've been on the other end of the spectrum?
The one I used to work at is TRU / BRU so the setup was pretty straight forward. You want my little pony, LEGO, and shopkins on the same isle? The only thing I'm not a fan of are the prices.
I would be all over this if I didn't have them already. If you do this again for the new series, I would definitely bite8 complete sets total available.
$60 each shipped in the US.
Edit - Next shipping day is Wednesday.
Not planning on it. We had the lowest prices at the show, yet people went to the booth with bootleg figures and paid *more* per figure than we charged for real ones -.- Isn't worth it.I would be all over this if I didn't have them already. They might be able to look it up based on your VIP card purchases. Otherwise, they will give you store credit.Anyone ever buy at Lego for the promo item then return what you bought? Is it shady? frowned upon? Store give you grief? I bought the Y-Wing thinking I had my receipt from the Y-Wing I bought a couple of months ago. I was planning on returning the old one but the receipt isn't where I thought I put it and and now I have two Y-Wings but want to return one AND keep the R2 poly.
God bless stupidity!!!Not planning on it. We had the lowest prices at the show, yet people went to the booth with bootleg figures and paid *more* per figure than we charged for real ones -.- Isn't worth it.
That is fine, you already bought it and I don't blame you wanting a Y-Wing for cheaper and free promo. You should be able to look up through a card or VIP.Anyone ever buy at Lego for the promo item then return what you bought? Is it shady? frowned upon? Store give you grief? You get rid of the other stuff first. Honestly, books, ebooks, DVDs, screw them, download them. Children, if they are over 14 and can't get you more free LEGO then kick them out. Plenty of room saved. We don't have a garage and our house is overflowing with stuff. :/
Trust me, when it comes to books I'm only down to ones worth far more than a set of theseYou get rid of the other stuff first. Honestly, books, ebooks, DVDs, screw them, download them. Children, if they are over 14 and can't get you more free LEGO then kick them out. Plenty of room saved.
Kids?! WHO KEEPS THOSE? SERIOUSLY? GROSS. We have a rule - no kids. That includes other people having their kids in our house. This place is no children allowed. Period.
The artificial lighting will do that to a lot of stuff, not just Lego. I've seen the same thing happen to furniture finishes.Have you guys noticed any yellowing on newer white bricks? I've had my R2-D2 in my office for at least 4 years now and the white bricks definitely look like they're starting to turn a bit off-white. There's no sun in my office, but we do have a lot of fluorescent lights.
Soak them in hydrogen peroxide for several minutes, but no too long, then set them in natural sun for awhile. It's how I'm getting my really yellow garage LEGOs from the 80s back to somewhat white.Have you guys noticed any yellowing on newer white bricks? While those are an option, I was thinking about doing something like this:
I would bite if I didn't skip the Lego Batman movie sets.Everything sold has shipped, down to about 5 sets... hit the iron while it's hot!
6 sets. I'm bad at counting.
That's too bad.The artificial lighting will do that to a lot of stuff, not just Lego. I've seen the same thing happen to furniture finishes.
If it gets bad enough, I'll try that, thanks. It's not that noticeable yet, but I might have to do that in a few more years.Soak them in hydrogen peroxide for several minutes, but no too long, then set them in natural sun for awhile. Did you go in store? Are the sets different than online?40% off select Lego at TRU today. Selection is better than usual. There are some decent deals in there.
I'm trying not to go to the store. Already have three sets from last week I haven't put together yet. Really want that Phasma minifig and I almost bought the Sith Infiltrator at a higher price than this.Did you go in store? Are the sets different than online?
Too bad the Avenjet is OOS online and in 99.9% of locations. $30 for all those exclusive minifigs / bigfig is awesome. But some of the sets are actually 40% off!
Here's the TRU list...
