I think you're the first person who has mentioned Double Switch. I never even heard of Night Trap when the Sega CD was out, but played Double Switch all of the time back in the day. Picking up Night Trap just because it's the closest thing I'll get to a Double Switch remaster on modern consoles.
I remember picking up Double Switch for cheap at Toys R Us not knowing what it was, and then hating it oh so very much once I played it. FMV games are like Vegemite to me.

BTW, has there been any mention of any "bundles" for this Friday yet?

I see now, there is also a Vinyl for NT that I would like to get along with the CE and Doc Blu-Ray, but there is no way I see being able to add all 3 and have it come to a good end.

I guess if nothing get's confirmed before hand, I'll just have to try for the CE quick, and then come back and see what I can get. Paying shipping 2-3 times sucks, but I'm OK so long as I can hopefully get all 3 items.

So as a newbie that's going to try for one of these for the first time on Friday, any tips?
I've had positive results by logging in before the sale started using my iphone & safari and purchasing through it. That seemed to work better than my pc... possibly due to the more streamlined interface. MANY people here use the pc + paypal method to great success. I'd lean with that, though for me the phone gave me the best results.

I can confirm with neowarp that "Chris" is shipping from the 90012 area code. This is the return shipping label he's using, which of course is FAKE. LRG just needs to take a look at shipments to and near that area code and see the patterns. I bet shipments to 90012 will be telling.

In regards to his "privacy", Chris has made a open mockery of LRG and everyone else trying to get these games. His return label is FAKE. I missed out TWICE on getting a Wonder Boy collectors edition, disappearing out of my cart both times. I blame people people like Chris who has SEVEN copies of the game on Ebay. He's deliberately working the system, and hiding his identity. I'm sure other people who break the rules, criminals etc. all complain about their privacy as a excuse to help protect their behavior i.e. search warrant = my privacy !

I agree with neowarp, if LRG would cancel his orders, that could possibly end his ebay account since he'd have to cancel a lot of ebay auctions and that would hurt his standing on ebay. I do think that if LRG removed him, that would send a message that it's NOT OKAY to use fake accounts to screw over LRG and their customers.

When Night Trap goes on sale this friday, be aware your competing with people like him. He is averaging 3 Limited Edition games, and 4 regular releases now. He's actually getting worse ! Just imagine if they canned his account friday after he puts up his 7 copies of Night Trap! Sweet justice.
Cry more glad you missed a copy.

This is extremely sad. First of all, wow, total invasion of privacy. Second of all, why is that 'obviously fake'? My main address is a UPS store PO box, rather than my home. is mine fake, too?

While I agree that it is annoying for someone to circumvent the per customer limits, this is something that always ends up happening. I think LRG have done a pretty good job with only this guy being the main offender of selling multiple copies over the quantity limit. One person doing this is not the reason anyone misses out on something. It's just a silly notion for several people to blame one person for not getting an order in. I know it's easier to blame Chris, but you should actually blame yourself, your internet, your device, your luck, your genetics, your body odor, or your poor fashion choice.

Furthermore, it seems that the only way for him to do this is to have multiple people helping him. The games go too fast to go through multiple check outs (with log ins and outs) for everything. Sure, it's possible he's sitting at a computer with 3 browsers open, but it makes more sense that he would have a brother, girlfriend, buddy, etc making the additional orders. And that's not actually against the rules. I sell things for a friend of mine on eBay and we split some of the money. Just because it's going through his eBay doesn't mean 'he' ordered them all.

Finally, honest to god, get a bloody life.

I like how nobody here likes scalpers like Chris but all the people complaining about Chris have resulted in some people defending him for the sake of not wanting to hear about him anymore.

Initially I was iffy on The Bunker. But after doing a little research on the game, I'm kind of warming to the idea of picking up a copy this Friday. A modern FMV game with high production values and solid acting/writing sounds fairly intriguing. Most of the criticisms of the game are related to the lacking gameplay. (which is fairly typical of the FMV genre) I'm still thinking I might go ahead and get one. It's theme-appropriate for Night Trap.

I know. Personally, I don't care at all if someone is selling copies on Ebay or is ordering with multiple addresses/credit cards. Whatever. But these two people who keep posting Chris updates have actually made me want to root for Chris. They actually seem to think they are doing the world a service and feel like "justice" needs to be served. They are like Batman.... if Bruce Wayne's parents killed themselves after not being able to checkout while having a copy of the Wonder Boy CE in their cart, so Bruce vowed to never let it happen to anyone again.

I'm not planning on grabbing any games Friday so I'm going to email someone and see if they want my copies for cost. This isn't breaking the rules unless they're to the Banksy of LRG right?

I played through The Bunker twice and enjoyed it but it in no way has "high production values" or "solid acting/writing".

I've been rooting for him since his Ebay listings where first shown here. As I've yet to see anyone provide any evidence of any wrong doing on his part, and that goes for LRG who looked in to the matter, and came up empty.

Since no one has any real information, no one can say 100% how he acquires these few extra copies, and as such, he is well within his rights to do with them as he pleases.

The last I checked, this was America where a person is supposed to be "innocent" until proven guilty. And with the level of weekend Gumshoes we have around here, I see ZERO chances of any wrong doing ever being shown, let alone proved.

Definitely want night trap but I don't know if I can do the bunker. It's just getting to be so goddamn expensive. I'm already accepting I'll probably have to completely skip the 18th. I just can't keep up.

Especially with Raiden and ys.

So I received my first LRG game. Love the Zelda franchise, especially the top down ones, so I thought Oceanhorn seemed cool for the few minutes I played the Android demo, but didn't get too far since I didn't feel like bothering with the touch controls. Well I opened the vita version and played it more today, and I can now say the game is pretty terrible. So bad I don't even need to keep it in my collection. So what should I do with it now? Don't really ship stuff out much so don't know if that's worth it. Or maybe wait to trade it for some other LRG game I want in the future?

Was also disappointed by the lack of a manual, meh.

I never understood the business model of creating such demand for your product and then limiting the supply. You basically turn scalpers into your distributers and cause the real consumers to over pay or worse be frustrated that they can't even buy the product. It must work because the process is duplicated so much but to me it never made sense.

Is this question for real? If you don't like it, and you don't ship stuff, I guess just throw it in the trash if it's causing you such heartache. Is this the first bad game you have ever bought? What have you done with the other bad games you have bought in the past?

I would also say, at least 98% of Vita games don't have manuals, so why would you be disappointed that this game didn't, was it stated some place that it would?

I find your entire post to be of a "shit" stirring type, as I can't imagine you have never bought a bad game before, and really have no idea what to do with it? And unless this is your first Vita game, I also find it very surprising your shocked there was no manual.

I think that's how Nintendo operates in some instances, but I don't get the impression that is LRG's goal. At this point, they are really lucky that they can seemingly sell anything and have it sell out. They do not want to be keeping inventory. If you check Ebay, most of the time these LRG games are not getting flipped for much of a profit (and sometimes flippers are taking a loss). That tells me demand is pretty much met most of the time. Could they have sold another 1,000 copies of Wonder Boy? 2,000? Probably. But, if I were them, I'd err on the side of caution and not push it (the rationale that there is already a readily available physical release for $25 makes sense). They are also named "Limited Run" Games. Once they start producing huge quantities and that "Limited" part of their name gets called into question, you'll see people angry about that.

I think the hope of buyers is that something "limited" will hold or increase in value, whether they want to flip it or not.

There's probably a really good video out there on mailing a package. Your description of the game has been corroborated a few dozen times... before it was released. I don't think it's for you.

i remember before getting a sega cd when it 1st came out, once i saw and played night trap i had to have it. LOL

i loved all the FMV game for the sega cd, so how can i not get night trap. this will be my 1st LRG game since i just learned about them recently.

I agree 100%! I hate when people give LRG shit for not releasing "enough" copies. It's called Limited Run Games for a reason and part of the appeal is how limited the print runs of these games are. If people really want to just play these games then they can download them digitally and typically save $10 or more in the process.

So.....can we start bugging LRG for a Hellblade physical? :bouncy:
I really hope someone does a physical release for Hellblade. It was so disappointing to find out it is a digital only release.

Does anyone know where to find some PS4 protective game cases for a good price?? Like the ones LRG sells but maybe a 10 or 20 pack??
http://www.retroprotection.com/

I have only bought with them thru ebay tho. It costs a little more but I figured it was safer. http://www.ebay.com/usr/retroprotection

I think I got like 10 for 8 bucks + shipping. I really need to just buy the big pack with 50 or 100 lol. I keep meaning to during those Save X off Y ebay sales.

If you're seriously interested in getting rid of this game, I couldn't get it before it sold out so I'd be interested in purchasing it from you. Got to collect them all *twitch twitch*
